  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) Here's the one thing I want to see from my manager on a consistent basis: Put the team in the best chance to succeed that game. Yes, there will be games where the other team hits a big 3 run homer or the other pitcher throws a gem. However, I do have a problem with the manager obviously lets his team down with his decisions on lineups and pitching strategies/bullpen use. For example, he just keeps Crede in the 9 spot while Dye is hitting like absolute s*** and stays in the 5 hole. Jermaine Dye needs to be moved from the 5 spot, not later, NOW. When he starts hitting he can move back up, but Ozzie is hurting the offense with Dye sticking in the 5 hole.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxeducator @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) there goes the win for buerhle ITs his own damn fault in a sense. Ozzie could of pulled him a little early, but regardless Buehrle got plenty of support and couldn't get the win. s*** happens. Hopefully the Sox can get some more runs and the bullpen can shut em down from here on out.
  3. QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) He's a moron and Joey Cora isn't much better, Nah, Cora is a pretty darn good 3rd base coach. Aside from that Ozzie definately mismanged this. You could tell Mark didn't have it and Marte is up for a reason. Of course on the flipside, Buehrle pitches quite well to Chavez so who knows. Still he left him in a little too long.
  4. Ya, I'm totally puzzled. Especially since he's supposed to be very fast and a pretty solid defender. Between him and Gonzo I have no idea what is going on
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) Jason.. you do or don't think Tyra is attractive..? IMO, she's 100X better than Beyonce.. she's got a butt and some meet on her legs.. but she's doesn't jiggle. Beyonce "jiggles". Oh I do.
  6. I really do apologize for taking so stinking long with this. We have a few more features ready to release in the next few days. Schools just been a royal pain in the butt and it gets in the way of stuff. Edit: Dan is probably sitting in shock at the fact that its finally up.
  7. The Top 25: 5-1 By FutureSox Staff April 26, 2005 We are continuing our countdown of the White Sox top 25 prospects. Spring Training has finished and the major league season has begun. The start of the minor league season lies two days ahead, so keep an eye on the guys on the list as well as some of the sleepers FutureSox.com will discuss later on in the year...MORE
  8. Well Bakker definately needs to head on down. I think you will see Gio promoted after two more starts, but it could even happen quicker. And then of course you will have Whisler rejoining the rotation so someone else will be kind of an odd man out at that point. You could also see someone at WS get promoted to BHam.
  9. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) The fashion industry is run by people who think skinny is hot. Personally, I like meat on women. A lot of guys think J-Lo is fat, I think she's perfect. Super Skinnyg - UGGGh Fat - UGGH Right in the middle (give or take a bit) = PERFECT D's = Bad C's = Solid Nice Bs = Fantastic Its funny how what the fashion industry hypes is kind of the opposite of what most people in the real world want. On a sidenote I'm not implying that Tyra and whoever else aren't hot, they are, but those girls that are just super super thin...not attractive to me at least. Ugliest thought of Hot women in the world = Anna Nicole Smith (NUFF SAID).
  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) We're talking about young kids, it takes a while for some of them to be happy in their own skin. Ya, I just don't get it. I never ever thought I had to do steroids, no one ever did. I know a lot of the football players at my school used them (not that it did them any good) but our baseball team was clean. But seriously I don't get it. It doesn't make you that much better. It takes more smarts than talent and strength to be good at the high school level anyway.
  11. No, I was just implying they needed to make a roster change. I think your probably going to be right and Diaz will be activated. His injury isn't supposed to be very serious. That or you could see Bham promote someone to Charlotte. On a sidenote, there is talk Gio may get a promotion faster than some would of suspected.
  12. What a f***ing shame. Steroids are stupid. The side-effects are so known plus I don't know why girls or guys for that matter would ever want to use them. Why use drugs, just be who you are. If you want to look amazing try to eat right and exercise. Thats the best you can do, after that just know you worked hard and if people got a problem with it then the hell with em.
  13. I so wish the Sox grabbed Blanton. But oh well.
  14. Not sure, but they need to make room for Diaz who should be on his way off the DL.
  15. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minor...tsheet2005.html No Valido or Anderson in the honorable mention? Anderson hitting over .320 in AAA after starting last year in W-S... impressive... Hell, I'd have to take a seirous look at Andy Gonzalez. What the heck is going on with him. Although he has started to cool down a bit.
  16. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Chandler only played 16 minutes last game a big reason why nocioni stepped up and had the game he did with the boards. I wouldn't expect for him to do anything close to that again next game but on the defensive end i think he will still shut down jamison. If chandler gets to play 30+ minutes without any ticky tack bulls*** getting called on him the bulls win. I am looking for someone else to step up offensively next game, maybe othella? Othella looked to force teh ball early and then found himself in foul trouble along with Tyson. On a sidenote, those were such bulls*** tick tack calls I've ever seen. Finally in the 4th quarter the refs started to let the teams play and thats when the Bulls just kicked the piss out of them. Still its one game down, they still need 3 more wins.
  17. Thanks for getting that info Randy. Been busy with midterms and was meaning to do so. Also Brice is out with a shoulder injury of some sort.
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) No thanks. Are you s***ting me? You wouldn't want Lebron James in Chicago? Let me tell you, if Lebron was a Bull I'd be so damn happy. The guy is an unbelieavable player. He's a better scoring Magic Johnson.
  19. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Where were you last year? Anyway, I just don't see how we can put BMac in the rotation yet. He would get rocked IMO. He hasn't shown dominance in AAA at all. He has walked a lot more batters than last season and has been inconsistent. I would rather see the Sox skip him in the rotation. Bmac is working back from something that started bugging him at the end of spring. Thats big reason his control is out of whack. He'll be alright and I do agree with you. No reason to rush right now. If its just one start I'd have Adkins or someone else up.
  20. Gimme a break...how many guys had career years for the Royals that year??? Quite a few. Last I looked the Royals came out of nowhere that year as well. The Sox have had a strong nucleus for some time, made some changes and have regrouped. You can also look at the offense which has underachieved. This is just a terrible comparison and people can believe whatever they want, but if the Sox are healthy, they will play good baseball and they will make the playoffs. Oh ya that Royals team didn't have anywhere near the pitching staff the Sox have.
  21. First off superstars do get a say in when it comes to the direction of the ball club, its only fair. They are putting the next 5-6 years in the hands of the GM of the other team and deserve some say since most of them play to win. Secondly, they are the best player and at that know the type of guys they want, etc so I see no problem in them giving suggestions. If you guys don't think Jordan had some say your nuts. Its just a fact of life.
  22. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) http://mb15.scout.com/fillinoisinsiderfrm1...cID=52119.topic Go to the 2nd page to see the ad, it's a quarter page and i know it's in the trib and news gazette if not other newspapers. What a class act Deron is. I'm really going to miss him. No...Thank YOU Deron Definately a class act. I wish him luck in the NBA. I really think he's going to have a long and sucessful career at the next level. I just love the way he plays defense.
