  1. Agree with Dan
  2. What a f***ing shame. Steroids are stupid. The side-effects are so known plus I don't know why girls or guys for that matter would ever want to use them. Why use drugs, just be who you are. If you want to look amazing try to eat right and exercise. Thats the best you can do, after that just know you worked hard and if people got a problem with it then the hell with em.
  3. I so wish the Sox grabbed Blanton. But oh well.
  4. Not sure, but they need to make room for Diaz who should be on his way off the DL.
  5. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/minor...tsheet2005.html No Valido or Anderson in the honorable mention? Anderson hitting over .320 in AAA after starting last year in W-S... impressive... Hell, I'd have to take a seirous look at Andy Gonzalez. What the heck is going on with him. Although he has started to cool down a bit.
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Chandler only played 16 minutes last game a big reason why nocioni stepped up and had the game he did with the boards. I wouldn't expect for him to do anything close to that again next game but on the defensive end i think he will still shut down jamison. If chandler gets to play 30+ minutes without any ticky tack bulls*** getting called on him the bulls win. I am looking for someone else to step up offensively next game, maybe othella? Othella looked to force teh ball early and then found himself in foul trouble along with Tyson. On a sidenote, those were such bulls*** tick tack calls I've ever seen. Finally in the 4th quarter the refs started to let the teams play and thats when the Bulls just kicked the piss out of them. Still its one game down, they still need 3 more wins.
  7. Thanks for getting that info Randy. Been busy with midterms and was meaning to do so. Also Brice is out with a shoulder injury of some sort.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) No thanks. Are you s***ting me? You wouldn't want Lebron James in Chicago? Let me tell you, if Lebron was a Bull I'd be so damn happy. The guy is an unbelieavable player. He's a better scoring Magic Johnson.
  9. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Where were you last year? Anyway, I just don't see how we can put BMac in the rotation yet. He would get rocked IMO. He hasn't shown dominance in AAA at all. He has walked a lot more batters than last season and has been inconsistent. I would rather see the Sox skip him in the rotation. Bmac is working back from something that started bugging him at the end of spring. Thats big reason his control is out of whack. He'll be alright and I do agree with you. No reason to rush right now. If its just one start I'd have Adkins or someone else up.
  10. Gimme a break...how many guys had career years for the Royals that year??? Quite a few. Last I looked the Royals came out of nowhere that year as well. The Sox have had a strong nucleus for some time, made some changes and have regrouped. You can also look at the offense which has underachieved. This is just a terrible comparison and people can believe whatever they want, but if the Sox are healthy, they will play good baseball and they will make the playoffs. Oh ya that Royals team didn't have anywhere near the pitching staff the Sox have.
  11. First off superstars do get a say in when it comes to the direction of the ball club, its only fair. They are putting the next 5-6 years in the hands of the GM of the other team and deserve some say since most of them play to win. Secondly, they are the best player and at that know the type of guys they want, etc so I see no problem in them giving suggestions. If you guys don't think Jordan had some say your nuts. Its just a fact of life.
  12. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) http://mb15.scout.com/fillinoisinsiderfrm1...cID=52119.topic Go to the 2nd page to see the ad, it's a quarter page and i know it's in the trib and news gazette if not other newspapers. What a class act Deron is. I'm really going to miss him. No...Thank YOU Deron Definately a class act. I wish him luck in the NBA. I really think he's going to have a long and sucessful career at the next level. I just love the way he plays defense.
  13. I just closed up the NFL Draft War Room forum (moving all posts back into the sports bar) and want to just say thanks to Addy for putting together that forum and doing a good job with the contest and everything else. Heres to Addy and having this up again next year
  14. Hey Willie, thanks for these snippets of info.
  15. Could be a solid player. Has Mel or anyone talked about him yet? Definately a sleeper, he's a little slow but has a real big body for a safety. As far as Razor goes, obviously most everyone thinks he's a tweener and can't find a position for him.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Has there been any rumors of this kind? No rumors per say, but there has been talk he'll be a cap casualty in Tampa Bay and him and Angelo have a very good relationship. I know people have speculated that because the Bears have had a need for OLB and Lovie has even gone as far to say it, yet they have not really agressiveley pursued any of the free agent candidates. It makes me believe that JA knows or at least has a feeling Brooks will be out there come June and thats when I think the Bears spend the rest of their money for this season.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:00 AM) Well he can be as good as Ramon Martinez all he wants... Ramon Martinez was very very good back in his days with the Dodgers. I'd take him in his prime (healthy) over anyone on this current staff aside from Mark Buehrle.
  18. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:39 AM) Bautista is flat out nasty IMO. He's the cousin of Pedro and Ramon Martinez(yes thee Pedro Martinez) and he could be just as good as them one day. His first game of the season I think he only gave up no runs in 8IP. This is going to be a toughy for our offense IMO. Hopefully I'm wrong. Ya, he absolutely shut down the Angels in his 1st start. Has an absolutely filthy curveball.
  19. Agree 101, McPherson was the lone QB on the board who I had rated higher than Orton in terms of pro potential. Problem with McPherson is I can't look past his gambling problems. He definately appears to have his head on straight now though and he's as good of tools as any qb in the draft, imo (although I happen to really like Alex Smith).
  20. ORton has a very strong arm and has been a cold weather player. He plays in a wide open offense and only threw 5 interceptions. He did a nice job reading defenses and is 1000 times the player Krenzel ever was (if were talking about offensive abilities).
  21. Prediction of the Day: Derrick Brooks will be one of the starting OLB's for the Bears on opening day.
  22. Sweetness. Glad you got this up Mike...I didn't see your email till like 12 last night.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) Right I would probably go with the pens of Minnesota and Anaheim with maybe St. Louis but our is in the mix if we can do it for a longer period of time Not Anaheim, imo. Donelly, Shields and Krod are all very good, but aside from that there pen is nowhere near what it was in previous years, imo.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) Tulane for Losman Cool I knew it wasn't Clemson.
  25. Did Losman go to Clemson? For some reason I thought he went somewhere else.
