Good move, I like Crosby.

Chicago Bears Draft Thread
My guess is trade down, but I don't know if the right combination is there when the Bears select. You know damn well they want to move down a bit. It also looks as if Aaron Rodgers will be there when the Bears select. My hope is that the Skins like Rodgers and move up to grab him. Supposedly they lake Cambell at 25, but maybe they think Rodgers is the better of the bunch.

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) Tru, we don't need Ware. We already have Brown/Haynes/Ogunlye on the ends. Then again, I might be thinking of the wrong guy, but isn't Ware good enough to where he can adjust to playing OLB? If we do go that route -- and trade to get the #9 and #25 and an extra pick, I'd love to grab Derrick Johnson there... And then grab your WR/TE at #25. Please, someone tell me that I'm a f***ing nut for liking Johnson so damn much. Someone, please... I can't, I'd love to make that deal and see Derrick Johnson there. I"m a huge Johnson backer.

The question so obvious that noone thought to ask
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Carnell is flat out sick. The problem is Ronnie Brown may be more flat out sick. The only time I have seen something like this was with Jerome Bettis and Ricky Waters, that is rb's on the same team who had so much potential. SB I agree. I've followed Ronnie a little more and he's definately got the raw physical tools. I mean I wouldn't complain with either of the two. I also think Cedric is a damn good back as well though. I don't have a problem with any of the 5 guys being talked about (the backs or the WR's).

Its funny how Carnell doesn't get talked about much. I haven't seen enough of Carnell to say much about him, but statistically he put up great numbers and he's supposed to be a strong athlete. I mean there was a reason he was starting over Ronnie Brown.

Source: UNC's Felton, May to declare; Williams?
Sean May would be a hell of a fit in LA. I don't know if he'd slide down to where the Lakers will likely pick.

March Madness Forum Closed
I removed the March Madness forum today and all of its posts were moved back into the Sports Bar. I think next year we'll set up a seperate forum for the whole college basketball season cause that forum seemed to do really well. If there is interest we could set up something similar during the college football season as well.

You may just get to write some stories about Quinn Snyder getting s***canned. Oh and you'll learn just how crappy I really am

Curse of the Billy Goat
Actually I'd say more White Sox fans hate Cubs fans. Hell most Cub fans I know really don't care about the Sox and to be honest I really don't care much about the Cubs either. The only reason I don't want them to win it all is simply because they share the town with Chicago and it would be bad in the sense the Sox would never draw and they would get hurt in attendance which is what helps them at least have a decent payroll.

The Final Soxtalk Mock Draft
Braylon is Miami bound. Rogers is falling and the Bucs are going to take him.

San Diego Padres Alternate Jersey?
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) They wear a Camo jersey every year for a few games to honor the US Servicemen. San Diego is a big port town and has a Naval base. Ya, they are a huge naval community. Also I happen to think the jerseys look pretty badass.

Wally Backman
QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) I was talking with Barons Hitting coach Gregg Ritchie and Wally Came up and he said that Wally now works with a company that runs charter fishing boats. I can't believe the fall he has taken since Nov 2nd when he was on top of the world. Ritchie was the new D-backs hitting coach until Wally was fired. I think he will be coaching again soon/ He's a hell of a coach. But he's kind of been a PR nightmare with the Dbacks, but also with the Sox and his supposed phone call to Gardy telling him he hoped they'd beat the Twins or whatever so then he could get the job. Someone may get gutsy and hire him if all things are going wrong in a sense. But I can't see him getting a big league job. Still he should be at least managing somewhere in the minors. Another guy that will be back next year is Bobby V. You know someone will give him a job when he comes back from Japan.

has this been posted yet???
Actually I love the Twins announcers. They were talking about something during the Sox-Twins game a few days ago and I fell off the couch rolling in laughter. They were just totally hillarious.

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick
Brad Biggs has been saying JA is desperate to move down. He rates Mike Williams over Braylon Edwards and thinsk he could maybe move down and grab Williams. Thats obviously risky, but the Bears have quite a few guys that rate similarly. On a sidenote, I've seen a few places say that the Skins would include Rod Gardner with the 2 1st to sweeten up the deal. I don't know what you guys think, but I'd be damn tempted. You get two 1st rounders which could go to Derrick Johnson or Williamson/Williams or Benson (one of those guys will be there at 9) and then you can go with Heath at 25 and go RB or Kicker in rd 2. Personally I think Nugent would look pretty darn good. Plus you have Gardner and Mushin which is a pretty big upgrade over last years receiving core.

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick
QUOTE(Soxfest @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 08:32 AM) No suprise Mccaskey's do not want to pay a 15 mil signing bonus to anyone. Its actually the smarter thing to do if you rate all of those guys on an even talent scale. think Edwards is the one guy they have off the charts and if he's there the Bears probably wouldn't move down. However if the Skins make that deal the Bears will jump and will grab one of the RB's or Williamson. I've seen many places that say Williams could slide and its really not that easy of a call between Williams and Williamson.

UMich makes my college decision easy
QUOTE(1549 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) I have dreamed of going to michigan, and was born and raised a Michigan football fan. I applied in October...6 months later, a letter from the university. I'm on the extended waiting list. This means that I will be attending Rutgers University next fall. Home of the first, and the worst, football team in America. I am not completely disappointed, I get to stay in New Jersey, and my two best friends and my girlfriend are attending Rutgers (I've heard the whole school with friends thing is not a good idea, but f*** it I'm gonna have fun). I obviously hold no grudges against the maize and blue...my dad is still renewing his season tickets. Here is to a great season for the maize and blue, even if I won't be sitting in the student section That sucks, but congrats on Rutgers. Also long time no see Rob. Hope all is well

Holy cripes...98 dang. The best thing about Sean is his rubber arm and mentality. He has absolutely zero fear of pitching inside.
