  1. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) Lienart isnt listed as one of the drafts top 5 Qb's he's believed to be a Ken Dorsey of sorts... not really NFL quality.... I disagree, but then again.. I do love Matt Leinart and want to have a love child with him soooo I heard a few draft experts, Kiper being one of them, talking and he said Leinart and Rogers are sure fire top 5 picks. Kiper may be a bit overrated, but the guy is still one of the very best. Leinart doesn't have the Dorsey syndrome, ie weak arm. And I agree with you Leinart is a quality qb. I think of him as a Mark Brunell type guy.
  2. Now I see one with a little upside down triangle showing up in most spots.
  3. I think its apparent that the Bears need to trade down. The top 4 picks will be between the two qb's (Leinart and Rogers), Antrelle Rolle, and Cedric Benson none of which fit the Bears drastic needs. If the Bears trade down though, there will definately be a team interested in moving up. I know the Chargers have two picks, but unless they want Rolle I can't see them moving up. Also there is supposed to be an excellent OLB from Texas or somewhere available that will go Top 6 or so. You then have Mike Williams, Clayton, and Braylan Edwards as three very good receivers but I don't think any of them stand above the other and I'm sure I'm leaving plenty of names out. Move down to the teens if possible, select a WR and an OT or even go WR and TE or two WR's because its such a drastic area of need. Regardless I think as of now the Bears need to trade down a few slots. They could also consider cutting a deal with someone like Seattle who has Walter Jones and work out a deal for there 1st rounder and Walter Jones (Bears then sign him to a contract).
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) There. You have your freaking dots. You guys happy? You may have to clear your cache and hit reload to see the freakin' dots. I refreshed and cleared my cache plus cookies and I don't see it. The only thing I get is no image showing up at all in spots where I had posted.
  5. Ok, I'll reset both of those to be the same as well.
  6. This was such a fun game to watch. I told wharris on aim that I had a feeling they were going to win. Then he told me MOS and him made a bet and he had 25 points on top of that, lol.
  7. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) i also dont like the fact that you cant see what threads you have posted in, as before with the little dot EDIT: maybe you can with the little thing in the corner of the icon but not as easy to see as that nice dot I'm with you on that, I think we'll be able to fix that. I'm thinking once the colors change we can create custom graphics and replace the one with the little thing on the corner with like a baseball in the middle or something that makes it blatant that you've posted it in.
  8. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Wow, that dark grey is almost hard to look at. O well, Blue is fine for now. I'm with you, I absolutely can't stand the dark grey. On a sidenote, all mozilla issues should be solved with this version of invision board, so I'm assuming it was just a minor bug that was coming up and has now been fixed.
  9. Interesting piece. I think it would of been more then worth it to give up Bmac for either Hudson or Mulder but I can see where Beane is coming from. I think that both the Braves and Cardinals did good and I think Beane is crazy for trying to dump payroll, especially since he seems to think Jason Kendall was worth increasing payroll for, although considering he gave up Rhodes and Redman it wasn't a major increase, but in general young pitchers at least not all of them pan out and I think the A's are going to quickly find out that Beane isn't as great as everyone thought he was. Its a lot easier to get by with a mistake or two when you have the big 3 plus Harden, thats not going to be the case anymore. They do have some good young arms though.
  10. You don't not make moves because you fear injuries, unless of course a player your acquiring is injury prone. Randy Johnson doesn't fit that bill nor does Matt Clement, despite what people tend to say at times. Both have been rather healthy most of there career, although Clement does put a lot of stress on his elbow. Clement did have some arm trouble, but he's a long time removed from those days. I do think both Nomar and Lieber are risks, but I think Lieber was a pretty good value signing, especially in comparison to two of the worse contracts I've seen in a long time...Benson and Milton.
  11. Fixed the part where it was saying Pinned to remove it. Next question was when we used to have polls did it used to say Poll: or was it just normal? Same for moved posts.
  12. The two quote buttons are there to allow multiple posts. So if you use the quote plus, then your going to select multiple posts to quote. It will take a little playing around, but this board is a quicker since it uses fewer queries and has some really cool features.
  13. Back to back fantastic games on ABC. Now the Bulls are looking good thus far through a quarter and the Utah-Pitt game should be a fun game to watch.

A big factor in how Iowa won... damn straight, with a minute left, 4 downs, and about 10 yards to go, why in god's name would you spike the ball on 1st down? Still, that play really didn't do one thing or another. Iowa would of burned a timeout then and LSU would of scored still. Time wouldn't of been wasted. When it comes to poor clock management you can't look past Iowa. Tate did such a good job on the first play and getting the 2nd play ran and then did awful the next time. Luckily they overcame it. They were the better team today and almost lost. LSU spiking the ball, allowed iowa to get the ball back with tons of time. And your right iowa's play call at the end was pretty terrible, they overcame it, congrats to them Ya, instead they would of ran a play and got a touchdown. Its a stupid play, but in terms of this game it didn't cost them. Nor did Iowa's poor clock management. Both teams got lucky in that regards. Its not like LSU was going to run the clock out, they just didn't need to be concerned with the time and should of just ran the TD play. Just my 2 cents though.
  15. Garden State Life Acquatic *Need to think of the others*

  17. Kansas pulls it out. What a comeback by KU. Awesome game.
  18. Jesus, what a game...2.1 seconds to go KU up by 2. Shuf has to be going crazy wherever he is.
  19. QUOTE (upnorthsox @ Jan 1, 2005 -> 08:45 AM) I'd love to get him in to ST on a minor league deal. Oh ya, that would be fantastic. Kenny could just throw something out there. I mean I'd think he'd pick the Angels over anyone. I know he's in the Orange County area a whole lot because he does physical therapy at a local place my friend works at. Definatley worth a chance, but if the Angels are in it I think he'd go there.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 31, 2004 -> 08:34 AM) So what is everyone else doing for NYE tonight? We always get a drunken bowling party together down at one of our local lanes. For $75 a lane, you can get upto 6 people which includes bowling from 10-2, shoes, buffet, party favors, and champagne at midnite. It is a great time. Part at my friends house, with way too much drama at the end of the night, lol.

You obviously missed the Liberty Bowl because that was a far better game than the pathetic offenses on display. From LSU not having a QB to Iowa not having a RB this game is ugly. At least it's somewhat competitive, but the Big Ten champs (and best team in the conference IMO) should be running over the 4th best SEC team. you might wanna rethink that one. Lol, I was thinking the same thing. I may be crazy, but when Tate is all set and done, he may just win a Heisman. The guy is such an accurate passer, can scramble and can flat make plays. With Chandler being around for a while too, he's going to have some weapons, plus he should have a running game next year, especially if Jermelle Lewis can get an exception and play again next season, which is a possibility.
  22. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Jan 1, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Big Ten's 3-2 now in the bowl games w/ UM left... I think it finishes at .500 but I'll pull for Michigan.
  23. LSU is a very good team, 9-2 and they were the favorites in this game by the oddsmakers. Two great defenses went up against each other and it turned into an awesome game. God did I go crazy when Tate got the touchdown pass to Halloway. I was busy swearing at the tv about piss poor clock management when Iowa still had 2 timeouts and the clocks running.
