I just don't see giving Gordon closers money which is what he thinks he can get. Whether he gets it or not, who knows. All I know is this was his first full season in a long time and I don't quite trust that he'll be able to have another.

That trade would of killed the Sox unless they planned on adding another reliever and thats coming from ME of all people, who is probably one of Weaver's biggest backers in the majors. Now if the Yanks were paying like all of his contract for the next few years, it would of been very interesting cause you could of got a stud pitcher cheap for a couple years. I also think that the Sox had acquired or that they were going to acquire Javier Vazquez right at the deadline, but it just didn't go down. Heard that on the radio a few weeks ago by one of the local MLB guys, but I don't know how true it is.

Lofton always comes off as a pretty cool guy to me, but thats just from what I see in the game. Like when the Cubs won the first round some fans ran past him on the field and they damn near ran into him. You see him jump back look and he just is laughing with this huge smile. As far as Sammy :fyou I honestly believe if the Cubs lose Sammy, then they will become world series champions next year. Well as long as they spend that 17 mill in the right areas. Sammy is DONE at least in the NL. He can beat you in the regular season cause pitchers make mistakes, but when people have full concentration (Such as the playoffs) you rarely make mistakes and you really pitch more so to matchups then ever before and in Sammy's case he's more free swinging then the past couple years and he can't hit the high stuff (thats in the strikezone).

I think the fact that they acquired could kind of say they'd be willing to spend the bucks on this manager or at least thats what they want people to think. I don't really care how much is spent cause I think the best candidates are actually the cheapest in this case; Young and Guillen. There isn't any AMAZING experienced manager out there, so I think the best thing to do, instead of pick from the retreads is to go through and interview the best and brightest and see who has the complete package.

Well I'm not a big believer in spamming. I mean if people are interested in another board and you know them then go ahead and tell them, but spamming a bunch of people ain't cool. I know most wouldn't like it if they got a bunch of spam here and I'm sure the same can be said there.

I think another thing is the media doesn't really talk much about the policies in regards to the enviornment. I mean there are somethings, but you really don't get much so I don't think many presidents make it much of an issue other then at election time.

Right now don't the polls say Clark? I'm not a big Clark fan myself. I'm familiar with a lot of them, but he's the only one that I am familiar enough to say I won't vote for him at least not now. I had one telling me if you were in the hospital it wouldn't matter. I always miss one day of classes (Well two days total) when I go to spring training. That way Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun I am enjoying sunny Arizona
