  1. I rebuild the system to clean everything up and I'm going to have to get a lot smarter when I do these updates. I know I did something and it screwed a whole lot of stuff up so I went through and fixed it about 5 minutes after realizing the problem. Sorry for that short outage! I'm going to have to rebuild the Boards a bit, but hey, it will be all be looking great real again real fast.

Well, Maddux is supposed to be back in a couple of weeks, correct? A little rest is probably good for him after that injury. It was a clean hit and all, but man oh man he was lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse. Plus, if Kordell does anything it really increases his trade value during the offseason.

Arod is a class guy imo. It ain't his fault to turn down 25 million. He probably wouldn't of went to Texas except that offer of 25 mill over 10 years was about 100 million more then he was offered from any other team. That don't make him a jerk or anything like that. He respects the fans exceptionally well and has donated his money and hasn't had any trouble with the law. By the way that was a good read.
  4. Well, Matsui seems adaman in not wanting to play for the Yankees which still shocks me. Maybe he just doesn't want to be in the spotlight, or maybe he just don't like Steinbrenner, I don't know. Either way I know he'd be a sweet pickup, but I also know the Sox won't get him.
  5. I think a big part is some players can play in certain situations others can't. I don't think Perez ever liked Kansas City and he really did fall out of place. He was once a prize prospect who now will have to work his way up from being a backup infielder. Of course when you go to a winning team you get a whole lot better faster, or at least some players do.
  6. What the hell are you talking about Gary? Where did u hear about Booker becoming qb? I know many joke about it because Chandler and Miller and the offense is so bad, but I've realized this offense sucks because Shoop sucks and our recievers are way over-rated. Oh ya, its also cause this team is the most pathetic fundemental football team I've seen in a long long time.
  7. Have fun Cubkilla and Guido. Hopefully the Sox win, ya never know. Better then losing all your money some other way. At least this way you get to cheer like hell for the Sox and if they win it all not only do you get to see the best baseball team win, but you get a ton of money.

Schueler did a good job getting the talent on the field, but nothing ever came out of it. KW has done a good job putting talent on the field and nothing has came out of it yet for him too. The difference is KW is hated, Schu wasn't and secondly KW seems more willing to pull the big trade and bring in the vets. Both are really smart baseball men, and from what I have heard Schu was the better one when it came to trusting people and not putting spies everywhere, but I think KW has the better shot of putting a world series team on the Southside.
  9. Kent stinks defensively, but it will be interesting to see how Perez does at 2nd for them. I know Aurilla is their at short, but you'd think they would of made a push for someone like Ray Ray. Speaking of Ray, anyone even talking to him yet?
  10. The rotation is definately the most important area. Michelle, as far as Daal goes, you have to remember he was given an inflated contract at that time. Salaries are going down big time this offseason and this is going to be a buyers market. If it was last year, the Yanks would of signed Maddux and Glavine, but they aren't even talking to them.
  11. Boy do my picks suck if I'm posting them after the games, lol. I lucked out, for once when I picked against the spread I didn't do terrible picking the winners, but I sure didn't do great either.
  12. Since he's a free agent their is no way he will get that kind of money. I'm thinking you could offer him a 2 yr 4-5 mill deal and get it done. Then go out and spend 500k on a guy like Hollandsworth and if they can try to make a run at Colon, otherwise just leave the rest of the roster as is. I think they would definately be an improved team after that.

If they could only play some defense.

The key is playing better the first three quarters.
  17. I've rebuilt that area and well, I am just too tired and made a minor mistake and I've been searching for it the past half an hour and I've just decided to take a rest and get back to it tomorrow afternoon since its my day off of work. Sorry bout the delay in this. The good news is I'm learning a ton and the boards should only get better and better. Like I said when I started on these, I hadn't even begun doing what this boards are capable of and I'm still nowhere near it. I think I've scratched about 3% of the surface.
  18. When you make a post on a multi paged thread you will now be taken to the most recent page instead of the very first page.
  19. The thing with him is he doesn't have great stuff, but hey he did pitch damn good last year.
  20. It looks like the Hawks are going to get a huge offensive boost when Theo Fleury comes back. The trib says his return is imminent. Hopefully he's learned to get over his problem and will continue going to rehab so his problem don't come back.
  21. To talk to him. So I'm assuming that he's a possibility when it comes to that second tier. Sorry, but I'm not an Omar Daal fan, I'd rather sign a centerfielder/leftfielder and someone like Jeff D'Amico.

May I also say that Damn, Eddie Robinson is a player. That guy is so damn good, imo. He's got great hops, can create his own shot, and seems to be pretty solid defensively, well he's making some big time improvements their. I wouldn't mind starting him at the two. Still, I think if they moved Rose for an all star small forward or guard then either Erob would start at sf or sg or Crawford could. Then throw Fizer in the deal if the Bulls want to dump him so bad.

Would the Warriors want a vet like Jalen Rose? I'm thinking Jalen Rose and Jamaal Crawford(Although I really would like keeping him), and Marcus Fizer for Antwan Jamison, Foyle, and Dunleavy Jr. Just thinking it could make some sense. I really like Jamaal Crawford though and would rather deal Rose in all honesty, I just think he looks like a ball hog out their right now and man is he soft defensively. The Bulls need some defense and Rose just gets abused.
  24. What are the Reds planning on doing with Ryan Dempster? Are they keeping him or do they plan on unloading him?

This should be a good game. I like the Warriors as a young team. I remember mentioning how Gilbert Arenas was good and he's making this a statement game against Jwill. Come on Bulls, get this win!!!!!
