  1. I don't get not giving Perez the shot at this point. Even if it is for a bit - he has all his options right.
  2. How much of that run differential came from like 3 games. Especially knowing fact that this team hasn't scored many runs at any point in the season (sans the past couple of games).
  3. Closing this until it hits more mainstream news. Who knows if true or not.
  4. I don’t call for mgrs often on this site - but seriously…wtf. Enough is enough JR!
  5. Let’s see…Souza in another high leverage situation…oh joy!
  6. Get yourself right down in Aaa sheets. A couple good weeks of regular work and dialing in that swing and I am hoping we might see a version more like PY Sheets later this summer!
  7. This - actually Sousa in the game might have been worse than the 1-2 IBB. Using him in high leverage that isn’t the 14th inning of a doubleheader is crazy talk…crazy talk.
  8. Souza is horrific. One of the worst pitchers I have seen put on a Sox uniform. Why he is still on big league club and even getting a chance to be used in a high leverage situation is completely beyond me.
  9. They need a new mgr - than get the boys back off the DL by 4th of July and shake the league the rest of the way!!! But it can’t stop with mgr - need a new hitting coach too and I have no idea who they would make mgr? Maybe convince Paulie haha.
  10. This - everyone got pissed about Machado (who I was all for too) - but Harper was exactly what this franchise needed. A face of baseball - that true edgy superstar who swung from left side. Machado was better player but marketing wise - Harper would have been huge. They had so many elite options at their finger tips and they pissed it away and than TLR uggh. And menechino is awful. After I saw those Marlins splits on ground ball rates etc - how could anyone have hired him.
  11. No - I also never thought they should hire him and have to apologize to everyone I argued with who said this would be an unmitigated disaster. I never wanted the dude - but I figured they would be disciplined and play smart - this is just awful management and today was a new low. I also have zero clue at this point why a few guys are on the roster. Maybe there counterparts in the minors will suck just as bad - but there is a chance they won’t vs some of these guys who clearly just suck.
  12. That has to be one of the strangest intentional walks I have ever seen.
  13. This and what LRR has said. Plus - the analytics are really penalizing certain players, especially lefties and are complete inverse of how you develop and grow into hitting. I am sure after 10 years - with shifting occurring more aggressively at minor league levels and other levels - you might than see the league respond, but pretty difficult to do when you don't see extreme shifting until you get to the major league level. And when you combine good pitching with extreme shifting and advanced analytics - you can really take the sails out of people who did what is extremely hard to do (crush the baseball). Baseball always involves some luck -> but I want to see the best players play and I want to see the SS range up the hole and 2B do the same and make sick plays and I want to cheer when I immediately see off the TV a rip back up the middle (because on TV I didn't realize that there is a freaking 3rd infielder in the outfield grass behind 2B). I would also make stolen bases and hit and run metrics mandatory; If teams strike out 10 or more times in a single game - you lose an inning of offense. Okay - maybe not those last two items - but I would love to find ways to bring hit and runs, stolen bases and reduce strikeouts in the game as well (and I get it - some would argue that removal of the shift will lead to increase strikeouts but I don't see how that is the case -> with the shift people aren't changing their swing habits so I don't see why going the other way is going to do much - it isn't like strikeout numbers have been on the decline in the post "shift" era).
  14. I would deal Derozan while his value is sky high. But I am crazy.
  15. Ayton seems like the better move - given his age.
  16. No first rounder for Gobert but outside of that despite the risk I would make that deal. I am very interested in seeing what Bulls do. I still wonder what if Durant decides he wants out.
  17. High school infielders usually take some time to up there defensive game.
  18. This. Sale and Scherzer arms were supposed to fall off. Sales eventually did but Scherzer dominated forever. Sometimes you just don’t know. Draft the stuff and hope for health and or a successful surgery and long subsequent career.
  19. I just have to get it out there…I really hope MLB doesn’t mess this up. I can’t wait until the shift is gone and people have to play in the right spots and we can start awarding the best players for making plays and not the front office with the best algorithms. Let the players play. Bring back the advantage of defensive range in the middle infield. Make MLB greater again!!! PS: I can’t freaking wait. Like literally this will be amazing. Wish they could make it go into effect immediately vs they are playing this whole season with one final, majorly extreme version of the shift in the most pitching dominant season I have ever seen (and it isn’t really pitching dominant as it is great positioning robbing great hit after great hit. I also think this will help the Sox as there algorithms / inability to use the shift stinks.
  20. It is why I was a huuuge advocate of getting Harper. Star power and LHB. Sox should give up the farm for any cost controlled stud left handed hitter who came available - even more so if they were a good defensive outfielder too!!! Does anyone fit that bill that might be out there…cause if there was package the whole system up and go get ‘em.
  21. Bochy would be such a tremendous hire
  22. Sox run differential is 4th worse in baseball - offense has 3rd fewest runs scored in baseball. That run differential was obviously significantly impacted by a few horrific games and fact that they have really had almost no blowout wins cause there offense has been flat out PUTRID. Could really use 2020 Eloy Jimenez at the plate.

    2022 Catch All

Ok - so say person isn't aimed at the cops but instead is aiming at someone else with a gun or both are aiming at each other; what do cops do, etc? Plus lets not pretend you have that much time to react/you are going to be quick on a trigger going into a situation where shots have been fired and you have no clue who is a good person vs. a bad one (I get it - people will likely drop that are good in those scenarios quicker and throw up there hands but everything is going to be rapid and will you even be listening to your surroundings when you are in a life / death situation). These are all reasons I know that me personally, could not have a gun for self defense (cause I have nowhere near the training and way more risk vs. benefit for me personally).
