  1. For Kopech to be mentioned on trade talks I wonder if the Sox weren’t privately pissed about his opt out decision despite the supportive tone otherwise
  2. Does Cease have more perceived value because he is a former Cubs prospect? He would be someone I would deal before Kopech or Dunning
  3. The help may be a relief pitcher
  4. Has Dylan Cease looked this good on consecutive starts?
  5. I think Nick will eat soft tossing lefties alive
  6. Not a bad get from the Cubs for Alex Avilla
  7. Good question..I used to think that .Hawk to telegraphed a lot of what the Sox front office was thinking
  8. I still think we should keep M cCann
  9. That most teams aren’t trading prospects for rental help in this fucked up year
  10. I was thinking the same thing...I wonder what the timeline is for Bummers return?
  11. I don’t disagree with you but I’m still seeing with Cease the same nibbling, the same lack of command of his fastball, the same long counts, multiple pitch innings etc. It’s frustrating to watch when your not seeing improvement. His ERA is good but his FIP is awful
  12. This all circles back to Cease not being able to get out of the fifth inning...Sorry but when your bull pen has to cover four innings, you lose usually. We keep hearing a lot about how great Cease is going to be.. After five years of the Carlos Rodon experience, I’m not convinced at all
  13. You are correct... it takes a while...but We were told the same about Carlos Rodon...and why do teams like Cleveland pull guys out of nowhere who seem to hit the ground running?
  14. The White Sox have WAY too much invested in this rebuild to give a long leash to Cooper and Renteria... Far too many developmental failures on the pitching sideline .. These are high draft picks that are flaming out
  15. Remember when we were good at this?
  16. Cease’s xFIP is horrendous... too many home runs... not enough strikeouts.. his development is dissapointing
  17. They’re not just a bad team but a bad organization that up against Cleveland and Minnesota will never win because Reinsdorf refuse to make the necessary Structual changes in the front office. There is a lot of talent on the roster but it is vulnerable to right handed pitching and plagued consistently by a rotten defense. And they have terrible luck with free agents in part because they always reach for the middle shelf for players that seem to be on the downside of their careers.
  18. We’ve had two serious injuries (Madrigal and Garcia) and one minor one (Eloy) this year that resulted from baseball stupid plays
  19. Worth a gamble yes but there was a dire need for left handed hitting and relying on a ‘lab experiment’ was not the way to go. Also the fact that Grandal suck hasn’t helped either
  20. Ozzie won’t be back as analyst at this rate.. This organization does not have much of a tolerance for criticism. See Piercall, Jimmy And Caray, Harry...Jerry Will probably hire Chisoxfan Mike instead
  21. Not only did we not make the playoffs, but we hastily traded for a shitty starting pitcher giving away an elite player in the process
  22. Schwarber has an arm... Eloy has a wet noodle
  23. Eloy has to hit .500 if he’s playing in the field
  24. I’d say not sure.. it’s a shoulder injury so that means an MRI tomorrow...
