QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 05:43 PM) Let Avi play when he's hot. Unfortunately that means putting him in the field, but he does go on some nice hot streaks before looking clueless for a month or 2. I agree. Also, why doesn't Navarez get more playing time? Frankly, in limited play, he looks better than Navarro. Is this another manifestation of Robin's stubbornness?

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 02:12 AM) Shame for Sale to lose like that but keep on losing boys. Need that top 10 pick They will get there....easily this is a 90 loss team that will mail in the last two months of the season. Then we can draft another pitcher that won't pan out -
I swear, a pitching machine can shut this team down

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 02:10 AM) Yes cause you aren't saving Morneau for the 9th anyways. Lenny and Jim were discussing this. They've thought that not pinchhitting Morneau for Sanchez was the wrong move -

This is the second time in a week that the third-base coach has held Anderson unnecessarily at third base. -

QUOTE (Tony @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 01:32 AM) Uh-oh, Hawk talking about the possibility of trading Sale, and he's not totally against it. Bye Chris. Yep...I remember in 2010 when he was pissing all over Daniel Hudson's skill set...Hudson was gone a week later traded for Edwin Jackson -
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 24, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) It was also his 3rd appearance in under 24 hours. One thing that needs to be prioritized over the next week is protecting player value. If you have to use one of these bottom bullpen guys, so be it. Winning this game is not the organizational priority right now. Jones is another one who has been pitched 5/6 days. Oh boy, this.....this. I said before the inning that Robin may as well bring in Kahnle so as not to expose Robinson any more than he already has been. Plus he pitched already today. Wins for the Sox don't matter anymore. Another stupid Robin move.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 10:50 PM) Needs to become full time DH. Is he 45 years old? I don't even know if he can do that (hit). The biggest question going into 2017 will be, is Jose Abreu finished?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 16, 2016 -> 03:57 AM) Garbage Rick Hahn really botched up the catching situation on this team that frankly was bad to begin with. -
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 11, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) You are 100% correct, and there is historical precedence to support this. The Sox went into full rebuild mode back during '87, '88', and '89 under the capable leadership then of Larry Himes. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago. That guy came in and whipped the farm system into shape, and shrewdly traded away vets to bring in other young players that put the Sox in 1990 in position to go on a nice five year run at the time. Problem is Jerry Reinsdorf replaced Himes with Ron Schueler, who simply didn't get the job done of getting the team from "point B to point C", but that's another story. What's relevant here is that this beleaguered fan base has, in fact, lived through a full rebuild once before, and it can certainly do so again. At least with a rebuild it might be clearer to the fans that there's actually a real plan in place to develop something capable of sustainable success. The crap plans employed in recent years have been anything but. Great Post. We forget how 1990-1994 happened didn't we?. Lip: Wasn't Himes axed because Jerry was up set for him not mortgaging the farms system to improve the 1990 club late in the year?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 10:52 PM) True words have never been spoken by PTAC. In economics terms, we call it "inefficient allocation of resources," or poor return on investment. It absolutely blows my mind that an organization like the Sox with supposedly limited resources has never followed the model of home grown drafted and developed players, but instead typically wastes millions on middle tier veteran players. These players are acquired either via free agency or worse, by trading what few decent cost controlled prospect for what amounts to short term rentals. Is this a blueprint for sustained success? 2005 was both the best and worst thing to happen to Sox fans.

QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 03:02 AM) This would be sooo White Sox to comeback within 1 twice & go 9 up, 9 down in the final 3 innings to lose it. No it would be so White Sox to tie it, go into extra innings and then lose
