  1. You can basically say KW just put Ozzie in his place for a while now.
  2. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) Loaded for Albert! Now that's scary for any team... They should give him the Bonds treatment, walk him sent in one then take your chances. If they get him out without further damage, they are hella lucky.
  3. The Twins are hot right now, probably the second/third hottest team in the AL and the third/fourth in all of baseball.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) How awesome is Soxtalk that we have a Cards fan and Tigers fan posting in a thread on a site that belongs to neither of them Don't forget benchwarmerjim (Twins fan) I personally think it's awesome having different fans eigher from the same division or in the NL/AL divisions cause it gives us their take on their teams that they watch and know more about than some here don't just judge on stats and really haven't seen that particular team play.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) If you're talking about the restaraunt in RF, isn't that the Stadium Club? Again I might be tweekin, but I heard it eigher just missed it by two feet or barely hit it. I'm going by what my cousin told me cause he sat right around that area and he was braggin about it for a little while now. (he told me this like 2-3 hours ago though)
  6. QUOTE(zygoat @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 01:20 AM) personally i would take jose vallentine over anyone, he would hit .200 and would field like my 7 year old sister, but damn those walk off's were fun The pitcher?
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) It was a friggin BLAST though. Supposedly it "hit" something I think a window (it's not glass not sure what the material was) over by the deep right field stands. God I wish I knew the name of it but it's late and I'm tweekin right now.
  8. Soxbadger (25) Punch and Judy Garland (24) Spod=Ratings (18) Happy Birthday to three "hella" posters on soxtalk.
  9. Knight... no offense, but your missing alot of young names here. And I don't know what your doing cause you have mostly starters and one or two relievers. Which are you comparing? Zumaya isn't a starter and he might not be one. (could be their future closer aka Bobby Jenks 2.0)
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) But I can't be legit because I lost my temper one day last August, that's what you don't understand. Who hasn't? Kalapse just lost his temper/frustrated cause of the game he just said in this post and alot of posters know here that he's a very smart/legit poster. I've argued alot with him also on certain topics, and ditto for his credability. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Clearly you're a bandwagoner. Hell, you probably fall off the wagon all the time. That's probably why you're laying like that on that field. From falling too hard and then having to rest due to injury. You bandwagoner, you. Maybe you have a point..
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:40 AM) Hey guys, cut the personal crap. Try to stay on topic here. The "Mod" duties are finally kickin in ey..
  12. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) You will forever remain in soxtalk infamy wheter you like it or not. Knowing whitesoxin's history on this board and his credability, I'll take his "infamy" over yours anyday in the week. I'm not saying that in a horrendous way, but just comparing the two of you. And it has siht to do with post count.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) Isn't it incredibly rude to stand up in front of someone and yell at the top of your lungs while they're trying to watch a game that they paid money to see? I'll take a page from Slipknot's book. People=s***. Deal with it. You can say the same of those ignorant fools who also payed the same amount of $$ (pending which seat) so that point is mute. Every person in this world is rude. I could say the same when that fan attacked Gamboa when I was enjoying the game alot or when Cheat was getting his ass kicked and everyone was watching the fight. Ignorant but at the same time, that's people.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) The wave is part of the entertainment of the game for some people. I just think people here are overly obsessed with hating on the wave. I'm not for it or against it. Me neigher, I just hate it when it's used in a close ballgame. That drives me nuts. If the sox were getting crushed (which doesn't happen much anymore) or if we were leading 15+ runs like the first game against the Cards, then I'd say why not. I grew up doing the wave, it's a part of baseball for fans in certain situations. I have nothing against it. But at the same time, I'm not always for it eigher cause of the situation in a game.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) OK. Thanks you for the insightful response. Sorry I just had to laugh at that.
  16. QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) Jerry Manuel lived in Orland Park. My uncle used to live right down the block from him. My Uncle also used to live around there.. scary. Off "sport" here: But I work with Charles Tillman's cousin.
  17. Ricks: 2-3 1R 12B 1RBI 1BB Somewhere in this world, Heads is doing cartwheels.
  18. Zambrano should of had like 4-5 no-hitters already in his career but I would say 8 out of 10 times his defense has cost him that mark. He is insanely good. Liriano is a hella stud (potential, again that ugly word, is through the roof, moon, sun, etc.) but I agree with HJ, Zambrano has proved it for more than one season, and noone can touch him when he's on. (or semi-on) QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) Right, I was only thinking in terms of starters. Ditto. Jenks should also be mentioned then. And I'm not being a homer about this. God I hope Oliver Perez, and Zach Grienke figures their s*** out. Great potential on these two cats.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 02:06 AM) Long term I'll take my chances with BA, especially since he's cheap and we'll have his rights for a while (unless we trade him). I believe when he was drafted, he was listed as a potential 5 tool player (Anderson). I might be wrong Jas, maybe you can elaborate or if you could remember.
  20. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 01:56 AM) just got back from the pwnage...great game and great time!!!!! I'm wasted whoot! Holy s***!! To actually turn on your computer, go to soxtalk and somhow type those words pretty well is incredible. Join me, Hi8is, and Nuke in that department as far as getting wasted and somehow type decent (even though the three of us type WAY worse). I now proclaim you as one of my favorite posters.
  21. I just like reading the threads (in the bulls and bears forums) and just laugh my ass off of the stupidity of some post on there. I'll pass.
  22. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) And I'd be 80% certain right now if these two teams met the Cards would come out on top.. Ditto. Completely agree. I've said it before numerous times and i'll say it again. The Mets are the most overrated team in the NL, possibly in all of baseball.
  23. QUOTE(Contreras @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) Had you watched it, you wouldn't be calling it a joke. Seriously, I thought he was doing sign language while he was talking. I think that pic in your avatar is sexy... Let the *** talks begin..
