  1. QUOTE(SouthsideBlitz @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) Yeah that catch was sick ... yeah ... that was really the only thing that stood out in the game for me. Guaranteed top web gem right there.
  2. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) Logan is overmatched and Thornton is a BP machine. Can we please wait alittle longer than 4 friggin games into the season?
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) Anyone hear any postgame by Oz? There ya go. And to answer your question, not yet Tony.
  4. Like hawk said, out of all our pitchers, Thornton is the one who has not gotten any defense behind him since he's put on a sox uni. Alittle off topic here: I gotta comment that catch Mack made today that was unbelievable.

    It was just a nightmare. Just put it behind us, come back and get em tomorrow.
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Where the hell is Ozzie and his motivation? These guys look lackluster. IMO, these guys still haven't adjusted to one another yet. We had three different guys in the outfield who haven't even played with one another. They will adjust and get to form as the season progresses. I believe the sox will get to a slow start this season, and work their way back to the top. Let's face it, everything went our way last year. I doubt it's gonna happen again. Do I feel this is the same magical team from last year who won all the close ballgames? No, but that doesn't mean we can't get it done.
  7. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) He didnt make pitches when he needed to as well. Some fault lies on him, ozuna started the 5 run 1st. Exactly. That's where the four earned I was talking about. But it's one of those losses where you just have to forget about it. Hopefully Jon and Freddy can pitch great performances these next couple of outings to get their ERA's respectable.
  8. I really feel sorry for Garland. Nine earned runs and like four should have been earned.
  9. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) hes tall. And skinny..
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) :headshake :headshake :headshake There's the three stooges of soxtalk..
  11. I don't work today so I'll be watching. GO SOX!!! shrink that 2 GB.
  12. I've heard this can be really serious, potentally career-ending if they can't get the surgery right this time. Two surgeries can do alot of damage to tissues in your elbow. Not saying I'm right about it cause I never was a pitcher so I would have to ask some guys who have had more than one surgery. I pray he can come back and dominate like he once did.
  13. Wow...

    QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Was that a Ben Davis jersey in the stands? Got a problem with Big Ben?!?! :finger :finger
  15. I'm probably going back to Alabama (1st time in a long time) this summer to visit my uncle and my cousins, so hopefully I'll catch another B-ham game and this time, since I'm way older than before, will know the prospects, take a good look at them, and hopefully get some insight and good imput for some of the spect lovers here.
  16. Sweeney is gonna be a joy to watch this season, especially statistic wise. His power surge in spring training was really impressive, and with that "sandbox" of a field the Knights play in, his HR total will definitely be up and I'm sure his average will be very respectable as well.
  17. I'd be happy with taking 2/3. We basically did that all of last year in alot (and I mean ALOT) of series.
  18. SoxAce replied to chisoxfan14's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    That was Boone Logan. MB gave him a "Welcome to the bigs" treatment and it was shaving gel.
  19. I'm looking for Brooks to watch of course. But I really like Rodriguez, Sabo and the other "Logan" as well looking at thier stats. But Ricky Brooks is who I'm lookin for to stand out.

    QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) Actually, Jason is wrong I believe. O....M....G!!
  21. Does anyone think this will boast his draft value?
  22. Will actually watch an hour or so of this game before I go to work, so I will see the ring ceremony. I'm still 50/50 on calling off work though. I already have been thinking of excuses. I'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.
  23. He impressed me. That at-bat against Hafner and Haf had no chance. The only thing I didn't want to see from Thornton was too many full counts.

    Happy B-Day boz!
  25. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) It's wierd that I remember like all of those. When I was a guest until I finally registered, I remembered alot of the banners, the talks, etc.. as well. Didn't think I would be hooked on this site like this one bit. Ah the good ol' J.Reedfan8.
