The Official George Mason Bandwagon Thread
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 12:58 AM) Why is it whenever I jump on a bandwagon, it breaks? In the wise words of Bill Clinton on a Family Guy episode.. "Uh.. Probably cuz ur so fat!! Ahuhuhuhuhuhuhuh!!!"

Farmhands in the Future
Very nice read Heads. I too am a big fan of spects, have been since I went to Alabama a couple years ago to visit my family, and became a J.Reed fan catching a game out there. I've played with some good players in my high school days, (maybe should have continued but didn't think I was good enough) I'm looking for a couple of friends of mine to get drafted eigher this year or in the next two years depending if they finish collage. I'll let some posters who are big on spects know my friends names later they want to. I'm gonna talk to them on AIM if they are ever on, to KIT. Hopefully I can get their stats and see how they do. (Hopefully they went to good schools.) P.S. My spect to watch this year is the name you guys see on the bottom of my "empty" sig. Mr. "future stud" IMHO.

Someone Save Me
Too bad. If he's still around for 6-8 months I think I can take him cause I'm getting my own place when I turn 20 this year. (Or I might wait till next year I haven't decided yet.) Right now I can't cause I live in an apartment with the owners downstairs and the hood I live in is rough, especially for a good dog like that. EDIT: Just read your last post on 7 days.

Hermanson to DL, Logan's Contract Purchased
I really, and I mean really, hate to say this, but IMHO, I believe Hermy is done. And it's a shame cause his arm, legs, etc.. feels great, but you can't be effective if you have serious back issues. I really hope I'm wrong.

Greetings from... Ozzie Guillen
QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) Frank wasn't invited. That's a damn shame. It really is.

Which game will be your first this year?
Usually every year my first game(s) is during the summer and its against a crappy team and 90% of the time, get a win. (KC, SEA, TB) Hopefully this year, since I don't go to school but work, can go alittle earlier and see the sox play a good team and hopefully, get a win.

Won't be there, but I am lucky enough to watch this game since I don't work on Sundays.

Borchard center of M's attention
I'll root for Borch. I'm just pissed I won't see probably my favorite non sox player (Reed) miss some time. Gotta love the grinders.

CSN to televise Opening Night banner raising
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) Man, do I hope Berman ain't calling this game. I just picked up the DVD set today and watched some of Game 3 against Boston. Forgot how obnoxious and terrible he was/is. Keeping my fingers crossed that its Miller and Morgan. They aren't my favorites, but they beat the hell out of listening to Berman. Bro, don't get me started on Berman. Some of the posters here know exactly how I feel about him. Another poster here who doesn't like him just makes my day happy.

CSN to televise Opening Night banner raising
I was looking at the calendar for this day for weeks and I thank the lord I have every Sunday off of work. Me and my employees (who are sox fans) will see this ceremony (with a game which adds a bonus.)

Guillen on WSCR right now
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 05:41 PM) He's a quiet dude but he just keeps throwing strikes. I don't think too many rookies, especially in his case comming from A ball and not being a known spect, would say much anyways.

White Sox set Opening Day roster
If it was a Vegas bet, I can see Logan making this team about the same as George Mason making the final four. Slim to basically none. Welcome to the sox Logan and I know he'll hold his own in the show.

Dusty complaining about a tie
I love Howry. He said pitching with the Sox was unforgettable here. He had a great time and still loves the organization. Eyre is the one who hates the Sox and the organization with a passion and is still trying to forget what he calles "the lost years" on the southside. Good luck facing our "black and silver" jerseys this year Scott.

Cintron fills gaps for White Sox
I tell ya what. Working with one of the best hitters of all time (Yount) can really help anyone's approach at the plate.

South Park <> Chef
My bro told me by wolves or something like that. I missed the show so if anyone could elaborate on this then feel free.

South Park <> Chef
Yea, my brother ran and told me this not too long ago and I was like.. WTF? He asked my why and of course I showed him the article and told him they had to kill off his character. Chef was one of my favs, now I only have Token to watch now.

Whitesoxin' wants to know....
I used to do it alot during my high school days (still do both from time to time.) My mother never forgave my uncle cause he was the one who made me sip alittle alcohol to help go to sleep at the "tender" age of 4. I apperently liked it alot, been drinking ever since. Smoked that green when I was a sophmore when my friends kept pressuring me. Never was into squares that much but occasionaly do that too. Never did coke like 90% of my friends though. I'm not THAT much of an idiot. I used to talk to a poster here who also smoked weed back in the day alot as well, and he knows where I'm comming from. Too bad he doesn't post here much anymore (still trying to remember the posters' name.) I would say friends, strangers, family members, some cartoons, the enviroment you live in (I live deep in the southside) and even music can influence a person on doing some of those things. Like one poster already posted smokin weed isnt as bad as drinking unless if it was cigarettes.

NFL Com. Tagliabue retiring in July
QUOTE(whitem0nkey @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) he's done a great job as commissioner and the NFL has thrived during his time on the job. Not an easy guy to replace. i think out of the current commish's in the 4, uh, make that 3 major sports in this country, tags has been by far the most responsible and helpful for his sport. and he was no doubt a big part of settling the cba issues over the past month. maybe some politics here and there, but i'm not sure what's to completely hate about this guy. just my opinion, but i think we're losing a pretty responsible leader for the nfl. Agreed. Very underrated commish. I believe he enhansed the steriod policy back in 89' or later, and what good ol' Bud Selig is doing now nearly 15+ years later. Very fair guy and always try to make the game as good as he could get it. He might be best known for agreeing/putting in the instant replay into the NFL now. Fine job he did and a fine person. Strong view on certain topics. Definitely won't be easy to replace.

The Price for Bullpen Help is way off
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) Perhaps you view diamonds in the rough differently than I. Probably wite. Give me a break I've been out of school for nearly a year since I finished high school, and out of soxtalk for a year and a couple months since my computer was f***ed up to the max. My soxtalk IQ has dropped alittle as has my vocabulary but I'm still good-looking. I still see him that way cause noone saw Cotts in that deal (some even considered a throw-in; nice spect but a longshot unless his walks drop.)

Teen critical after Edens crash
My heart goes out to the family and to the posters that knew her. It's gonna take a while to get off your minds. Tizz, your post really touched me and had me thinking about the people (friends, family, etc.) I've watched pass away eigher from an accident, a shooting, or a suicide more than anyone would know on this site. Hell, just three weeks ago, a close friend of mine's cousin was shot one block away from me on 106th and Ewing on the Eastside right by Banners liquor store. It was gang related and I did meet him before. Good person.
