  1. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 04:59 AM) Hitting up Chi-Town for a few days probably also. You still down to get the party crackin when you get here Andy? I just bought the party hat. And just came back from Vegas. Other than only being there for 3 days it was just outstanding. Never forget what I did there (well accept the first night where I blacked out).

    Vegas..... awesome.
  3. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 01:50 PM) Somebody gave you a credit card, Gerry? It amazed even me John.
  4. Well the good news is I will be going to Vegas with the co workers this weekend. Bad news is I just got a huge card fraud on my Visa which complicates things.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 11:49 AM) SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman willie bloomquist has agreed with the #dbacks for $3.8M over 2 yrs, as @ScottMCBSSports said. sfgiants were i mix. Lookout for wite creaming his pants somewhere.
  6. Ya I was sad on hearing that yesterday. RIP to a guy I grew up listening to (along with the Boyz).
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 05:20 PM) SosnickCobbe Sosnick Cobbe Sports Dallas McPherson has re-signed with the Chicago White Sox. McPherson slammed 20 HRs to go along with a .283 AVG in Triple-A Charlotte. That's great news for the Knights.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) For some reason I have always just assumed that they would work out a deal with Mark. If all these reports are true, it sounds like he is probably gone. That sucks. I remember hearing the same things about Konerko before he eventually came back. I'll say this though.. it's interesting cause the sox supposedly aren't "all in" this off-season like they were when they brought back Pauly and A.J. so that could be the dagger there.
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) Would the Sox really get good value for him? Seems like they might be selling low. Meh.. couple years removed from top 10 pick in the draft, good glove now, potential with the bat (shown success) still in arb years, scouts might love him from other teams to take a chance on... Might be value there.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) All I have to say to that is mehhh. He also probably has the most stupid mistakes and penalties. That would be J'Marcus Webb, from what I gathered from your post.. is explaining him to a tee. And I agree about Louis. He is fun to watch out there with his nastiness.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 07:56 AM) I'm not do committed to Williams at LG He's been the most consistent O-Linemen on the team since the start. I think he's found a new home there for the next several years for the Bears.
  12. One of the toughest boxers (and I'd argue was the toughest) to ever lace up the gloves with the best left jab/hook. Huge heart. My uncle has fond memories of Smokin Joe (his favorite boxer). Guy literally wouldn't give an inch even if you had the mile on him. R.I.P.
  13. QUOTE (spiderman @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 06:48 AM) It would probably extend his career to go the NL, I'm just not sure I'd want to pitch for a team nobody cares about (then again, he just came from the White Sox) and maybe he has Ozzie hangover (then again, if Florida's willing to pay).... Gettin paid millions to pitch in a new stadium, not so good fan base and low pressure, as well as possibly relocating the family to a no state tax with excellent weather, establishments and gorgeous women. I'd hate to play in Florida too...
  14. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 07:07 PM) Sox are rumored to be at suitor for Josh Willingham. I highly doubt it because they would have to move Quentin and bench De Aza. Both moves I don't see happening. His .361 career OBP would be a welcomed addition for Jeff Manto.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 06:17 AM) Spencer and Louis are playing great. I changed my mind on Carimi, no rush getting him back. The Eagles don't have some b**** line either. How's J'Marcus Webb looking? Didn't catch yesterday's game. If he's still meh, might make it interesting to see the Bears move Carimi back to his original position in college.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) Earl Bennett also showed the other Bears wideouts what a good receiver looks like. He is by far the best WR on this team. I said that before his injury too.
  17. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) Coaching staff needs a shake up. For the skill that is on this team, there is no way the should have the 29th ranked PP in the league. Inexcusable. Even Foley has started making backhanded comments. Everyone in the league knows the Hawks will be looking for the backdoor on the advantage. It's all they do. If it isn't available(which it rarely is considering every PK squad knows it's coming and collapses down low), they have no other option. The Hawks power play literally has become a way to take momentum away from this team. Needs to change. NOW. Kitchen needs to go. And anyone wanna tell Bickell to show up? Dude has been pretty worthless at everything since the opening week. Hawks have noone in their top 9 that throws the body around.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 03:51 AM) You didn't get married, pull a tooth or get a tattoo on your face, did you? Or had sex with an underager?
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 02:05 PM) It was accurate!
  20. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) I remember considering him one of the best in the game, and now he's splitting time. Really? I always thought he was overrated as another Oakland hyped prospect at the time (this was after the Zitos, Hudsons, Chavez, Mulders, etc.. of the world came along and when the hype machine of the Hernandez, Crosbys, Swishers, etc.. of the world began, although I did like Crosby as a prospect at the time)
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 07:59 AM) Crawford stood on his head for most of that game. There is no reason that team should give up 40+shots in regulation alone. Keith being injured doesn't help matters.. I will say though anytime you see Jack Skille skate fast to the right side and fire low quality shots on net, you know it's going to be a good stat night for the goalie. Brings back good ol' memories.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 09:14 AM) Nolan Ryan would still beat some ass. Wasn't he like 44 at the time when he did that? Guy was a bulldog.
  23. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Not that the formula has any merit, but it already accounted for the homerun's run and rbi thing by subtracting homeruns once. Why are you taking them out a second time? The idea is that when you knock yourself in, then you are only creating one run. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) You are absolutely right, I am an idiot. 0.960 Konerko 0.898 Quentin 0.889 De Aza 0.861 Ramirez 0.810 Pierre 0.655 Rios 0.632 Flower 0.627 Beckham 0.605 Pierzynski 0.595 Morel 0.557 Lillibridge 0.552 Viciedo 0.549 Dunn 0.448 Vizquel 0.373 Teahen My god... Very rarely do you see someone prove Kalapse wrong in a post. Might have to bookmark this one boys.
  24. I'm 5 minutes late, but Happy B-day to a terrific poster.
