  1. Flowers having a nice quiet stretch as well.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 29, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) Do you want the pre-discussion thread or the actual day 1 draft thread? I'll assume the latter. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77853 Ha, I guess I really did like Chris Sale that year. (loved Beckham and was "meh" on Mitchell in their draft years)
  3. Nope. Holiday off WITH pay. :) :)
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 29, 2011 -> 03:28 PM) i am, he was good there but he wasnt committed on the defensive end until he got to boston. imo he became a much more complete player in boston, and it has made him look like a much better player in boston. He is still bad defensively, but at least he's passable in their scheme. (though you can thank that to Thibs when he was there)
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2011 -> 12:28 AM) So how is this Danks debacle affecting his future with the White Sox and/or this huge FA contract he was bound to sign in the offseason. I hope it affects it greatly on the sox side. I still want this guy re-signed (though I am a big Danks fan, believe he has the most upside/potential on our rotation) and I hope the lack of wins and "meh" ERA helps KW.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:54 PM) I'd rather lose and rebuild the minors. At least then the downers will have a better reason to complain after every loss. I don't think anyone should trust this organization to draft and develop properly (other than pitchers at times) anyways.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Yeah, our two worst players going in have been two of our best. And this team still blows. Nah, Pierre still sucks.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 28, 2011 -> 11:04 AM) Why would you hate to say it? It's a matter of time for everyone. Well no s***, but he was pretty much a walking corpse from all the crap he's done to himself.
  9. He ain't gonna be slayin anything anytime soon.
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:28 PM) Actor Jeff Conaway. Known mostly for Taxi and VH1's debacle Celebrity Rehab. I hate to say it, but it was only a matter of time for him.
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 27, 2011 -> 10:29 PM) He's very hit/miss. I haven't had the time to research it yet, but I'm willing to bet when he HRs he often has multi-hit games. Obviously this year, power is not the issue.
  12. I have to admit, I didn't think Humber would be this good (even if it is a hot stretch) especially considering I thought he was better before he had TJ. I don't catch many games cause of work, but his curve still looks as sick as it did at Rice.
  13. QUOTE (qwerty @ May 27, 2011 -> 02:29 AM) I have been on this board hundreds of time... just me... no users... no guests... eerie in a way. I have as well. You just never PM/talk to me anymore you lousy skank. (then again.. I'm no longer jobless either)
  14. Wow... Mike is owning in this thread.
  15. Happy B-Day to a fellow alcoholic.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 09:33 PM) Mitchell went 2/3, HR, 2 BB, 0 K. By far his best game of the year. didn't listen to the podcast, but I'm hoping that plate discipline is comming back.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 26, 2011 -> 08:45 AM) Really? I guess terminology must be changing. Nothing really wrong with Burrows and at least Bieksa actually will back up his s***. I gave you Torres. Either way, three guys hardly constitutes a "team full of goons and douchebags". And it's ironic since the Blackhawks play John Scott. The epitome of a goon. Oh.. other than the hair pulling, whining to officials and cheap shots, not to mention constant diving on the ice, he is a saint.
  18. Brandon Short loves hitting streaks. 26 game last year, and I believe he's at 18 this year.
  19. But this isn't the first of the month...
