Guys that are becoming legit prospects
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 08:13 PM) The averages are similar but Reed had much better power, better plate discipline and better speed (stole 45 bases in 2003). And look where that landed him, lol. Baseball's a crazy sport. So did Chris Getz since college.

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) Kuhn getting the night off -- or promoted???? I would assume night off. And I would want Marrero to be promoted before him anyways. He's paid his dues.

All-Star Voting -- How Ridiculous is this System?
QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 12:05 PM) Time for them to revisit how the voting works. Tired of seeing 5 Yankee starters including stiffs like Martin and has-beens like Jeter every year. There is alot of things the MLB has to revisit. All star voting, gold gloves, etc.

WTF are we waiting for ? Call up Viciedo !
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 09:53 AM) He went straight to The Show, though. No opportunity for our minor league coaching staff to sabotage his career. So did Carlos Quentin. Though I find that ironic since Greg Walker is the hitting coach.

Guys that are becoming legit prospects
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 01:31 AM) I don't understand why people want to doubt Tyler Kuhn. I remember you saying the same thing about C.J. Retherford... and David Cook.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 08:52 AM) So JR Smith is a chucker but Jason Richardson is a good efficient score? Similar TS% for both but less shot attempts for JR... Well look at you comming out of the wood works. Nice checkmate post as well Willie.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) Didn't we already have him once and give him away for nothing? We had him for literally 10 days and dealt him away for s*** in the off-season. Didn't even suit up for the Bulls. Obviously the Bulls value "character guys" so J.R. was not a fit there. As far as a team standpoint and need however, he is a perfect fit... a non crazy J.R. Smith.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 09:25 AM) I want JR Smith. He would be an excellent second creator on offense and would fill our offensive void at SG nicely. Character issues be damned, give me talent. Would absolutely love him here. Good ball handler, can spread the floor, has size in the back court, excellent in transition, very athletic in the open and half court game for Derrick, "willing" defender. (and I say that loosely.. would love to see what Thibs can do with him and his athleticism, has a very good swing span) One of the better fits out there (along with Mayo, Affalo, etc.) for the Bulls for sure.. a sane J.R. Smith. Would love the Rodman-like craziness/attitude (whatever you wanna call it) for this team, but even Dennis was less crazy off the court.

My god... Stan Bowman.. Now extend Sharp, re-sign Frolik and get us a vet, physical defense-man to pair with Leddy or Campoli if re-signed (Wiz please. ) or Ehrhoff if Hawks don't feel Leddy is ready for a top 4 role.

Enough with the hyperbole
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) This is all really fairly simply and being read way too far in to it seems. Could have been left at Jason's post. Agreed completely, and I was meh on the whole thing to begin with. As long as the optimist and pessimist are still allowed to do their thing (which makes this board great to begin with) and just cut out the terrible hyperbole on both accounts (optimist and pessimist) then its all good.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:11 AM) The Bulls routinely used Sefalosha at the 3 when they had him and he was effective defensively there. And that was with an empty seat as a head coach. Because he is very long and athletic as fathom alluded to. A quick, athletic defensive 2 guard can be very serviceable with guarding a 3. Might not have the bulk necessarily, but can be excellent in staying in front of his man (or to wait for weak side help) or be disruptive with his hands on the dribble.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:07 AM) Sefalosha is longer/more athletic. Butler has a much better ability to score. Not to mention Sefalosha is one of the better 2 guard defenders in the league. Butler is more of a 3. Your right about his scoring ability though.
