  1. QUOTE (Real @ May 22, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) probably because his defense is setup to limit Wade & Lebron's opportunities, which is the correct way to defend this team. Bosh isn't as good as a scorer, but when he has nights where he's just hot, the Bulls can't win unless they lock down the rebounds. Tonight the bullls didnt lock down s*** Correct. You let Chris Bosh beat you instead of those two 10/10 times. He got hot, it happens he's a good player. He just as easily can get cold as well. Though I will say you can not give LeBron that much court vision. He is just too good of a passer.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 22, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) Rose made the wrong decision there. Korver was open, he forced it to Deng in the corner. His decision making has just been bad this game. Easily could of gave 4-5 easy buckets in transition. Not a good game for him at all.
  3. QUOTE (G&T @ May 22, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) Korver coming back. That's not gonna help. What a play by Rose! That was just breath taking athleticism.
  4. When Noah is your leading assist man with 6, that goes to show how the Bulls shots are missed or altered. (though Rose hasn't been very good at passing the ball tonight)
  5. Just tremendous defense by both sides so far. Casual fan might deem it boring of course, but this is a joy to watch.
  6. Boozer is playing like he has the basketball I.Q. of Drew Gooden mixed with the softness of Andrea Bargnani.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ May 22, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) Sounds like a lot of red in the arena. With all the white shirts they hand out, hope the arena looks like a bloody tampon. Well this... this is just great..
  8. ALEXEEEEEEEEI!! YEEEEEEES!! YEEEEEES!! YEEEEEES!! YEEEEEEEEES!
  9. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 22, 2011 -> 06:28 PM) But hey, I don't know who pissed in your cheerios but don't f***ing come at me like I'm a little boy and you are the grand wizard of baseball. Compared to you... I would think that's an accurate description actually.

My buddy talks to a girl the whole night at a bar, gets her to come over his place, steps out for a few minutes to get a case of beer and some cigarettes, and his roommate f***s the girl. Ouch.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2011 -> 04:16 PM) Rios and Lillibridge are faster than Pierre is now, no doubt about it. Juan's like a pitcher who used to throw 98 mph and now throws 92 mph. More like 88. It's like he lost 10 ticks off his fastball.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) MLB earned it. Don't blame the people making the assumption. Every time they gave someone the benefits of the doubt for the last decade, it turned out that the person was juicing. Yea but with stronger testing now-a-days? Seems people assume it more now than they did 4-5 years ago even when they have PEDs in their system, they will get caught. Now could Jose be taking something that hasn't been identified yet? Maybe, but it still makes me shake my head when people still assume a guy is juicing, especially when he's still hitting bombs, not having a big HR year and suddenly falling off. (Brady Anderson)
  13. QUOTE (That funky motion @ May 21, 2011 -> 07:01 PM) Bird just got hit by a pitch in the eye. They rushed him right off the field. I hate to see any player get hurt like that, though I consider that karma for him.

Brandon Short's hitting streak in jeopardy. 0-3 so far.
  15. Alexei having one of those "when your hot everything goes right" feelings at the plate. And is anyone else noticing Ozzie having hitters swing at 3-0 more this year? I haven't caught alot of games, but it seems everytime I do, someone is swinging at 3-0 which has rarely happened in his tenure.
  16. Happy belated guys. Stupid, sexy dasox.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ May 21, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) Dunn DH, Konerko DH
  18. Man.. we still say his sayings at work me and a couple of co-workers since I started there back in October. RIP Macho Man.

League MVPs MJ- 5 Kobe-1 Scoring Titles MJ- 10 Kobe- 2 Times leading league in PER MJ- 7 Times Kobe- 0 times Times being Top 3 in Win shares Per 48 MJ- 8 times Kobe- 0 times Win Shares per 48 MJ- 0.255 Kobe- 0.161 Career PER MJ- 27.9 (Ranks #1 ALL TIME) Kobe 23.6 (Ranks #17 ALL TIME) Career win shares per 48 MJ- 0.251 (Ranks #1 ALL TIME) Kobe- 0.188 (Ranks #26 ALL TIME) Kobe and Jordan will always be compared because they both are about the same height, same build, similar style game and were coached by Phil Jackson. Both are explosive, great athleticism and were big time assassins. The big difference is the overall productivity of the two. Kobe for instance, in NONE of the seasons he won titles has led his own team in win shares on the season. Now that doesn't mean he wasn't the best, but when you are comparing someone to another all time great that always led his (or their) team(s) in overall production and most of the time the league that means a lot. Gasol led the team in Win Shares and PER in the season and led the entire playoffs in Win Shares in 2010. The Gasol vs Kobe comparison is like the Nash vs Amar'e one in 2005. Amar'e outproduced Nash, but Nash was the team's better player. Same thing with Gasol and Kobe. Difference here is this doesn't help Kobe's case when dealing with MJ, simply because whenever MJ won and whenever he was on the Bulls, he led the team in PER and Win Shares in both the season and playoffs. It's hard to compare Kobe to MJ, simply because not only does MJ have better numbers, but he has more accolades and is one of the top 4 most productive players ever. Not to mention he won all his titles as the best player in the NBA with hardly any debate about it. Another thing that means a lot is the franchises they went to. Kobe went to one of the most successful franchises in not only NBA History but sports history. Lakers had already won 11 titles and had been to 24 finals before Kobe ever even came to the franchise. Jordan went to a franchise that had done absolutely jack s***. Had 0 finals appearances and of course no titles and turned that franchise into a dynasty and one of the best in sports history. The Bulls were not a winning organization until MJ came along. Kobe overall has a "chance" to be a top 5 player of all time, but he won't catch someone like MJ. His prime was not good enough.
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 21, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) Brandon Short is on a 13-game hit streak. Rebounding from a slow start. Last 10 games: .404/.429/.660/1.088 Ross Wilson is almost as hot in Kanny. .378/.442/.486/.928
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 20, 2011 -> 08:07 AM) Also encouraging last night was seeing Chris Sale hitting 97 consistently last night. That was as hard as he has thrown all year. Well how bout that. Were a month and a half into the season and a pitcher is throwing harder than he did in April.. Shocking! That was more of a shot at the gloom and doom posters who always bring up velocity in early April.
  22. QUOTE (T R U @ May 20, 2011 -> 02:23 AM) Garlands a stud if were going by how he looks I've give you some attention on this post Carl. Nicely done.
  23. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 19, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) I'll be 61 July 5th. Christ almighty! Tex is just a young whippersnapper, by crackie. I believe you are the oldest if memory serves. My boy Rooftop Shots is up there as well. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 19, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) I think Quinarvy is pretty young if i remember that right. I believe he is the youngest. For a while, I remember Willie (along with Cubssuck1) was the youngest back in the day. I was 17 when I started posting here and wasn't even close to the youngest at the time. (few guys were 14-15) Those were the good ol' days.
