QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 05:08 PM) Me. I love the guy. Awesome skill-set. I didn't think anyone would jump me and Kalapse on the Pierre hate. Not only have you taken the 2nd spot away from me, but the 1st spot away from Kal in the span of a month.

Jesus Mike.. time has taken off. Happy B-Day to one of my boys here.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) Is it? Rip's contract is pretty bad to say the least, and he doesn't exactly have great 3PT range, which a SG probably needs in Chicago's style of offense I'd say. As much of a headcase he may be, J.R Smith could be a better option, and he's got an expiring contract to boot. As far as a pure basketball standpoint decision, you would be correct. Smith has immense talent and is still young at 25 and will be playing for a contract. He can handle the rock (be that secondary ballhandler when Rose is on the bench or even in the game which helps him immensely), shoot threes at a high rate, score in iso, create his own shot, excellent athleticism on the fastbreak to complement Rose, better player for a dribble drive motion offense (helps Deng catch and shoot off screens or cuts, Boozer in the post, etc or off the bench for secondary scoring). Problem with J.R. is the guy just can't seem to get his head out of his ass, is prone to chuckling when he gets hot (or trying to get in a rhythm) which can stall posessions and can get very selfish. Now, can Thibs help him with that? Can the Bulls vets keep him in line? That remains to be seen. The pieces to getting him will be very low I would think, so it's doubtful the Bulls will have to give up, say a Gibson, Brewer type to get J.R. (probably fillers like J.J., Bogans and/or a pick) Bulls management is obviously hoping to strike gold. (which can also be a risk) A guy like Affalo is the much better fit and player the Bulls need, but Denver probably will not move him.

Ronnie Brewer.. insanely underrated.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) Corey Wootton might be one of my favorite Bears ever, btw. He might be the talk of the town for the week. I think everyone loves him now. BTW, ya Dilfer is a piece of... work. I wonder if Cutler slept with his wife or something..

Just ordered the pizza and drinks. Watching the game (of any sport) with my pops for the first time in years. I'm ready.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 05:57 PM) Why would Bush be in the rotation? Wouldn't it be Chris Narveson? 12-9, 4.99 ERA, 4.22 FIP, 4.33 xFIP, WAR of 1.7. I'll take that from my fifth starter. Yes, Narveson will be their 5th SP.

I do not want to give this guy up. In fact, I see much more potential in him than I do in say.. Floyd for example. He also ditched Scott Boras so his price tag will not as insane when that time comes. I'm also confident something will get done from him. In fact.. I wouldn't be surprised if the sox give him a Buehrle type deal when Mark is off the books (well his contract, hopefully he will still stay for cheaper when he's a FA, but thats another topic).

QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 12:41 AM) Are you going? Not sure yet. If so, probably later on but I am intreged as drinking is pretty much the deal breaker, then meeting you sons of b****es.

So it looks like Paul Pierre is the PG in that Boston system with Rondo out. Dude is going off with his assist numbers. Makes fans wonder what a guy like CP3, Nash etc.. can do in that system...

Tom Brady.. 31 TD's 4 INTs this season... SICK.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) You'll be sitting next to him? QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 11:06 PM) Yeah, I'll make sure he can find me. Outstanding.

Outstanding trade for both teams. I'm alot higher on Cain than most but I love that the Royals got back Escobar for the future. Grienke, Marcum, Gallardo... very nice 1-2-3 for the Brew Crew.

I got f***in wasted tonight (drinkin water as I type) and I saw 5 girls from my old high school days that I haven't seen in 7 years. Crazy. And yes...I'd still probably hit all 5 of them. That's how good they still look.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Right. That's one side to the story. The other side being that he said he'd never ever play for the Wings, then played there for 10 seasons and now work in their front office. Like I said, I understand why people would feel either way. I'm kind of indifferent to it. Like I told someone else, it'd be like Dick Butkus playing for the Packers. My friend who is a die hard hockey fan is on the other rope who booed the hell out of him because he was such a dick not only to the fans but alot of his quotes after he left Chicago.. oh and that wearing a Wings jersey on the Hawks 75th anniversary. He called the people who cheered last night the "bandwagon fans" who only want to remember Cheli how this new McCub regime WANTS them to remember them as. Though I'm sure there were other die hards who cheered for him as well and other "bandwagon" fans who booed him.

Never would of thought any sane GM would take Lewis' contract, though this does mean Washington has officially turned the page and it's all Wall now. I actually think this made the Magic weaker as far as the Bulls match-up sake, as guys like Carter and Lewis always gave the Bulls trouble (especially in the perimiter) unlike they do most teams. Richardson is a good addition though. They all now have to get accoustomed to JVG's system.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 01:44 AM) I get to put on a cap and gown in 7 hours. Holy f***ing f*** Wouldn't be any different from what you wear in your relationships princess.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 17, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) the PED dealers in Chicago missed him. In SF he went back to his friends in Las Vegas. Ptatc FTW! ....

Thanks for 2005 Bobby. Best of luck to ya, though I hate Boston.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 14, 2010 -> 03:47 AM) If drawing contact means Rose is going to get hurt a lot I'd rather he just avoid contact and go back to what he was doing. Its working even if he isn't getting to the line. I hate to say it, but he'll probably have to start flopping or/and yelling to get calls when he's driving. He does avoid contact cause of his terrific core balance, but when he does get fouled (and he does alot getting to the hoop) he won't get the calls. Guys like Westbrook and CP3 are terrific at that. (for better or worse reasons) As for the whole PG debate, I tend to rate guys as overall players more-so than pure position. A guy like Rondo for example is the better pure PG/distributor, whereas Rose is the better overall player. Kind of the reason I like a guy like D-Will nowadays (didn't think that a year or two ago at all) more-so than CP3. Can distribute (even if he doesn't have the better vision), but when it's time to take over (or when your team is down) he can be insane.

QUOTE (joeynach @ Dec 13, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) Ok lets settle the Quentin as a defender argument right now. There is no doubt he is bad, however if you look at his Rfield statistic it will tell you what you need to know. Rfield measures the number of runs better or worse than average the player was for all fielding. Basically CQ had a career worst year defensively last year, absolutely brutal. However, prior to 2010 he wasnt great, but he wasnt that bad. I would expect him to bounce back defensively quite a bit, you have to be pretty horrific to post consecutive -20 Rfield numbers. 2006: +3 2007: +12 2008: -2 2009: -9 2010: -20 Quentin is not the same defensive stud that he was in Zona or even in Stanford (that I loved to see play back then) since he f***ed up his shoulder and had surgery on it.

I loved Gardner for 2 years now. My opinion on him still won't change. He's like what Juan Pierre wishes he could be. Not gonna say any trade proposals cause it's rather pointless (but to dream) but I would like to see Kenny get creative this off-season since he disappointed me with his lack of creativity last off-season.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 14, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) It's not like he's making chump change. Besides that, if she's comfortable in Philly, I guarantee you he is going to be comfortable (and you can take that as innocently or provocatively as you like, because it's going to be true either way) I would hate for Lee to struggle again, and pitch what he isn't worth. (which is Ace money) If his wife thinks NY fans are bad/mean... Philly really isn't exactly "Brotherly Love" themselves.

Jets lose to the Dolphins today.. LOL. I'm sure Carl will be very happy about this.
