  1. OKC is 90's Knicks dumb. But even the Knicks had an excuse. They had no talent outside of Ewing.
  2. Klay Thompson is playing at a peak Ray Allen level in these playoffs.
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 30, 2016 -> 05:38 PM) I think Cleveland is winning the championship LeBron's legacy depends on it.
  4. I don't care what anybody says. Steph is not, and hasn't been 100%, for quite a while now. Not throwin shade at OKC. They didn't do anything. But this is not the same GOAT mvp season change the game steph we saw all year.
  5. I think it's time to stop putting any stock whatsoever into what we see in the regular season. I mean none at all. Where the hell did this OKC defense come from?
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ May 28, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) If OKC closes out and wins the title, where do you put this playoff run all time? I'd be hard pressed to not say the best. Do you mean degree of difficulty? The '95 Rockets and '11 Mavs are #1 and #2 for me. But if OKC pulls this off, yes, I would have to say it would be the best. To knock off THIS Spurs team and THIS Warriors team would be enough. Then to beat THIS LeBron James led team (I feel this is the most talent he's ever had around him) would seal it. But as I've said many times, I want a Cavs/Warriors rematch. We shall see.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2016 -> 11:58 PM) You are the best. Yeah, yeah. Really wanted a finals rematch with both teams healthy. OKC has unequaled size, speed and athleticism.
  8. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:18 AM) Disagree with this. If Ben Simmons is a superstar, which I think he will be, they are fine. I think so too. But they've got to put a squad around him. A healthy Embiid gives them so many more options. QUOTE (Brian @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:54 AM) Talks of their demise are very premature but they don't have to lose 2 in a row to be eliminated. Keep alternating and OKC wins Game 7, in GS. Yeah, OKC better win Game 4. Yup. I fully believe whoever wins game 4 wins the series.
  9. Said a couple months back I thought the Raps could beat Cleveland. Then I, like many, predicted a sweep after game 2. Toronto is a really good team when they're right. I'm assuming Jonas Valanciunas will be available to play. Cavs are already having major problems containing Bismack. JV, assuming he's not rusty, will be an even bigger problem. For those complaining about how awful this conference finals is/was, well, we have a series here.
  10. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ May 23, 2016 -> 03:48 AM) lay off the crack. the angels got a massive deal DESPITE s***ty ratings. the same angels that were #24 in ratings at the all star break in 2015. http://www.forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/201...g/#5789ed0e25a4 lol. #savage
  11. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ May 22, 2016 -> 08:21 PM) Don't mean a thing without the ring At least wait for them to lose two in a row, something they haven't done all year, before mocking them. Personally, I'll be pissed if it's not Cavs/Warriors in the finals. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 22, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) Okafor's numbers are pretty empty though. I know it was a rookie year for him and all, but he put up points on pure volume and wasn't a good defender. He plays for the Sixers. That's about as empty as it gets. He's gifted offensively. Defensively? Not so much. So much of what Philly does from here on out is at the mercy of Embiids health.
  12. Rumor is the Celtics could trade the #3 to Philly for Okafor. I love this for Philly. Simmons/Ingram, Bender/Hield, Noel, Embiid, Saric, and two '16 first round picks. I know Embiid is a mega wildcard. But man, if he's healthy and pans out? It's Lebron's conference for another two years before Philly takes over.
  13. Well, there's a difference between one team dominating another (something we've seen many times) and just horses*** basketball. The '04 ECFs was so bad that the league stepped in and instituted rule changes that have effectively saved the NBA.
  14. QUOTE (Tony @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:30 PM) This may be the worst ECF ever. http://www.basketball-reference.com/playof...-vs-pacers.html
  15. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) Has Lebron ever beaten a good team on his way to the Finals? It's pathetic that Toronto is in the ECF. He's beaten many "good" teams. Great? No. Though in '06 and '08 when he had absolute horses*** around him he took two great teams to seven games.
  16. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 14, 2016 -> 11:22 AM) You are correct in the sense that one man's opinion can't really be wrong or right. That being said, why throw shade at Curry or Kerr for that matter? It just ends up sounding like sour grapes. Which is why I said he should just keep quiet. He's been running his mouth all year. The Warriors are definitely in his head. LeBron's legacy is at stake here. And he knows it. You had the legitimate excuse last year with no Irving/Love. If he loses to Curry (assuming they beat okc) again with a fully healthy squad, then it's officially the Steph Curry era and he'll never win another title again.
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 14, 2016 -> 09:17 AM) So Lebron trying to start s*** with Warriors. I think Lebron is best when he keeps his trap shut. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/05/steph-curr...h-cavs-warriors He didn't say anything wrong. At the same time, it probably would be best for him to keep quiet. Which seems impossible for him to do this year.
  18. Anybody predict Adams, Waiters, Roberson, etc, would play massive roles in this series? Or that the Thunder would become a lockdown defensive team overnight after the game 1 destruction? If not, be quiet. The Thunder role guys were spectacular. I'm happy to be wrong here. Curry vs Westbrook. Does it get anymore epic than that? I can't wait.
  19. If not for tmz, donald sterling would still own the clippers. That's all you need to know about the difference between now and then. It's no contest.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 10, 2016 -> 02:14 PM) I also think MJ would have been smart enough to at least try and stay out of the press. Its easy to say "if social media was around back then....", but if those guys grew up with the same social media, they would probably know how to navigate it QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:03 PM) Right, I think Jordan would have immediately seen how that behavior/coverage would impact his brand and adjust accordingly. He loved making money just as much as dominating on the court. There would be no way to shadow his father being murdered shortly after all the gambling stuff in 2016. It would be been Armageddon.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 10, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) Pretty sure Mike Trout is equivalent to something even better than ScarJo. Before anorexia and plastic surgery. She was so fine then.
  22. QUOTE (shysocks @ May 10, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) Michael Jordan never had a year like this. Really. Nope. At least not offensively. Curry hit 400 3's dude. That alone should make it close to unanimous.
  23. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 10, 2016 -> 12:19 PM) The fact that he's the first ever unanimous choice is ridiculous. How Jordan and Lebron were never unanimous is crazy. Those two simply never had a year like Curry has this year. Shaq was robbed by that one idiot in 2000 though.
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 10, 2016 -> 12:38 AM) Curry going all Buddy Hield on the Blazers right now. LeBron and J4L don't stand a chance. Nor does OKC/SA. Huh? No, Curry, the greatest shooter the sport of basketball has ever known, went all Curry on the Blazers. Buddy Hield? haha. Stop. And yes, I've got the Warriors beating Cleveland. But it will be an epically epic series.
  25. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 8, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) OKC looking good 2-2 Duncan has 4 points in the last 3 games. Anyway, Durant took over down the stretch. This series is going just has I suspected it would. Still don't trust the Thunder. I'd be shocked if the Spurs didn't win game 5.
