Beckham is a mess at the plate right now. I don't think another position switch is what the doctor ordered.

Extremely important. You're talking a potential 4-game swing. Lose both and that's a White Sox season far as I'm concerned. 12 GB would be too much and too demoralizing. Win both and though you're still in a sizable hole, there's 'hope' and momentum going into the weekend.
