  1. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 02:08 AM) That is what ST if for, to work on things, get in shape, etc. I don't think they will pull the plug on Iguchi now, but if April 2nd rolls around and he is still struggling, can the Sox afford to keep him in the lineup? The worst thing would be for the Sox to get off to a bad start. 15 of their first 18 games are vs the Central. How many times did Ozzie refer to Gooch as his "MVP" last season? Gooch would have to sucks balls well into May for Ozzie to even consider benching him in favor of Cintron.
  2. We didn't play well today. Bottomline. Other than the 31-9 spurt, we played like s***. I love Dee as much as anybody, but he really let us down this year with his horrid shooting. He never got on track with his shot. We didn't attack inside as much as we should've. The bench, which I felt was a big key coming in, laid an egg. Yeah, the refs were pitiful. I still think we win if they even call the game 60/40 instead of 95/5 in favor of Washington. But we didn't help matters at all with our poor/stupid play.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) Wow, Richwoods hits a 3 with .2 secs left to send it to overtime. Simeon wins top and holds ball for 3 mins and misses shot. Richwoods now with the ball, 15 secs left, 29-29 in OT. Odd game. 29-29 in ovetime? :puke
  4. Nice to see the "drop in velocity" bulls*** defused. Bobby will save 40-45 games in '06.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) They could win every game against the White Sox for the next 10 years, and as long as they don't win 11 games in October...they wouldn't have a shard of bragging rights. They can live to beat us all they want. I can just start singing "Don't stop believin'" in reply. But they'll always be more popular.
  6. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) If Iguchi continues to struggle, do the Sox put Cintron in to start at 2B? Iguchi is batting .118 this spring. Maybe if he's hitting .118 on May 15th. No way you try that now. Gooch deserves the benefit of the doubt in this case. He was experimenting with his swing earlier in the spring, he's since then gone back to his normal swing. He's looked much better at the plate the last couple days. Gooch will be fine.
  7. Today was my first opportunity to see Logan pitch live. He was indeed very impressive. His fastball kinda explodes when he releases it. It looks a full 3 or 4 mph faster than it actually is. I echo the sentiments of the thread in that eventually it's gonna be time to see what Logan can so against some real major league compeition. I know he's already had success against a few of the Oakland hitters (Eric Chavez being the obvious one).
  8. Mitchell is one of the most underrated guards in the country.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) Warning, grossness. Nice
  10. Tough game for the Hoosiers. They were indeed screwed over and then some in this game. However, Gonzaga did make the plays when they had to. They also had other guys step up outside of Morrison and Batista. That's pretty rare.
  11. I'm just getting in from nearly 8 hours spent at Real Time Sports. I can see that most everybody has already commented and broken down the horrid officiating today. So there's not a whole lot for me to add. Just wanted to thank Dee and James for 4 outstanding years and to wish them the best of luck in the NBA.
  12. QUOTE(daa84 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) how can you tell its coming in at 93 or 94 from jsut watching on tv I said it looks like it. It doesn't look like your typical 90 mph fastball.
  13. QUOTE(daa84 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) siting or sighting He's pokin fun at me.
  14. WTF? That is one extremely deceptive fastball. Looks like it's coming at you 93 or 94. VERY impressive inning by Logan.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) Joakim Noah is absolutely awesome. Florida has looked the best out of anyone so far.
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) Why would anyone sit on Boone Logan? lol. Oops.
  17. Will there be a Boone Logan siting today?
  18. Bulls find a way to lose another heart breaker. Wade and Shaq go a combined 5/20 with 15 turnovers and we lose by 1 at home.
  19. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) Leadoff double by Cedeno. Ozuna never even saw that ball. He thought it was a homer. I guess it's sunny there though. Triple by Pierre scores Cedeno. 7-2 Sox. A groundout scored Pierre. 7-3 Sox. Vazquez still on the mound?
  20. If he had been healthy all of last year, 80 was a legitimate possibility. I'll go with a safe 50/60 this year.
  21. I take it Vazquez has been impressive today. Who's scheduled to pitch after him?
  22. Duke looked really good today.
  23. Thanks for the info. What do you think it would take to get Villarreal from the Braves?
  24. Villarreal was awesome in '03. He pitched just over 31 innings the last 2 years. What was wrong with him? Good call by whoever mentioned Cruz the other day. Who does Florida have that could help us?
