  1. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) So if they win it's because of Manning, but if they lose it's not Manning's fault? Ok. They don't win or lose because of Manning. Like I said before, it takes a team. 52 men. Not one.
  2. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) He HAS a team. Not really.
  3. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) Wouldn't you agree with me that Payton Manning basically IS their team? The wide outs are talented, but they rely directly on Manning. The Colts have more talent on offense than anyone in the league...that's where all of their money is invested. They have one impact player on defense...that's it. They have a legendary kicker and a very good punter, but they don't have enough DB or LB depth to have good special teams coverage. They have some serious holes, and that is not Manning's fault. If he loses, it's because of those holes.
  4. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Has Manning ever won 'the big game', college or pro? Yeah, but so what. Does this mean that guys like Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Williams, and Jim McMahon are better than Manning? It takes a team.
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Just saw paparazzi last night and it was very good. More a suspense type movie though That is the one recent release that I am looking forward to renting. The dude in the leading role...I dunno what his name is, but I've always liked him. He was great in School Ties, Dazed And Confused, and Higher Learning. The latter two are terrible movies IMO, but he's excellent in both.
  6. I'll be rooting for Indianapolis, but I'd put money on New England. What is Belichek's record against Manning, like 7-0? He owns him.
  7. I have dial-up because I'm too cheap to purchase DSL, comcast high speed, etc. However, I'll gladly pay $40 for that original mint condition out-of-print funk jazz record from 1972.
  8. Here's what a resident of London had to say about it on this soul-jazz vinyl message board that I've been a member of since the late-nineties:
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) I'm going to rain on this parade and say because Okafor deserves it. Ben Gordon being a smallish guard just gets owned in the blocks on a nightly basis by much bigger guards. He also doesn't do too much to get him teammates involved. Ben has incredible scoring skills, but I honestly don't think he is rookie of the year right now, let alone on his own team. I would say Deng has made a bigger overall contribution with his play on both ends of the floor, his scoring, his defense, his scoring, his hustle etc. No question about it. Not to mention the fact that Okafor leads the league in offensive rebounding as a rookie.

  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) Tyson has got to be my favorite player on this team. I hope he stays here for a long long time. Yep, me too. Tyson is easily my favorite.
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) I don't want to diminish anything the Bulls did last night, cuz they've finally been winning games, but I heard that was like the fifth time this year Philly's lost by 30 or more. I don't know if that means they're that bad, or maybe they just give up when they're down a bunch, but to lose that many BY that many is just awful. With this team: PG Allen Iverson, Kevin Ollie SG Aaron McKie, Willie Green, John Salmons SF Andre Iguodala, Kyle Korver PF Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson C Samuel Dalembert, Marc Jackson They should be kicking ass. They looked like the division favorite to me (a 45 win team) before the season started, and I still think that they'll get their s*** together before long. And you're right, they have a tendency to give up when they're down by double digits going into the 4th quarter.
  13. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) During the day i will check to make sure everything that is in my pockets is still there (wallet, keys, phone, etc.) I can only take a shower with my back to the water. ....I'm sure i'll think of more. When you lock yourself out of your house or car, it's like the ultimate buzz kill. I always check to see if I have my keys multiple times as I'm getting ready to leave the house.
  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) In the jewel case or out? Jewel cases....some slim, some standard. Never any of that pink or purple garbage...strictly black casing.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) vertical or horizontal? Horizontal.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) Once you have the cds alphabetical by artist, duo, or group, are the albums chronological or by title? They're in order by preference. The White Album comes before all others, for instance.
  17. I dunno if keeping your music, movies, and books organized is necessarily peculiar. I mean, it's much easier than having to search through a bunch of s*** just to find a particular album or whatever. If it's in alphabetical or chronological order, you know precisely where it is at all times.
  18. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) Southsider let me help you Some people call me the soxtalk admin, yeah Some call me the poster of love Some people call me Maurice But thats my homie MurcieOne People post about me, brando Say I'm bannin' you wrong, bannin' you wrong. Well, don't you worry brando Don't worry Cause I post here, post here, post here, post here and at home Cause I'm a poster I'm a banner I'm a spammer And I'm a canner I play my music in the sun I'm a poster I drink a foster I'm a midnight hoster I sure don't want to hurt no one
  19. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) Smack my b**** up --The Prodigy Oh yeah yeah, I remember that. Of course, they're some major biters. Kool Keith on "Give The Drummer Some" (1987) "Change the pitch up, smack my b**** up" Dove on "Ego Trippin" (1993) "Smack my b**** up...I never did it" Once the Ultramagnetic MCs and De La Soul touch it, keep your hands off.
  20. I actually sat down and watched an entire Bulls game yesterday, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I dunno what's going on with the 76ers. They should be much, much better than that, especially considering that they're a deep team. Dalembert, if healthy, might have helped to contain Curry, but what did Hinrich and Gordon combine for? Like 50 points or whatever? That is insane. But the guy who I am most impressed with (no surprise here) is Tyson Chandler. The guy is becoming an absolute monster. Elton who?

  23. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) Would be funny if it wasn't fake. Wow, are you sure that it ain't real? You need to purchase a sense of humor ASAP.
  24. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) I think the Bengals jersey is very cool. My grandfather swears that those are the worst that he's ever seen in his 70+ years.
