SPOILERS!!!! Best episode of the series that one was. The scene with Ben and Sawyer inside that ship, when Ben is telling Sawyer that they're in hell was outstanding. Sawyer also pulled of some of the most memorable acting this series has seen both when he knocks Locke to the ground and the last few words he says to Ben before he kills him. The interesting question is still whether Jack is part of the Others and what secret him and Juliette are hiding. Locke is indeed on his own personal journey, and I excpetected nothing less out of his character. Why did Rosseou (spelling?) need that dynamite? I find it pretty odd that she just showed up out of nowhere looking for that dynamite. Is she planning to rescue her daughter? Is she in fact a part of the Others and is the dynamite part of their grand plan?

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 11:46 PM) He's a beast against LHP, something we're lacking. A guy who's hit for s*** his whole life--do you think he's going to step right in, get minimal AB's and tear lefties apart like there's nothin' to it? Eduardo Perez offers nothing to this team. The guy sucked to begin with, and he's going to suck more now. He's 37 years old and hasn't seen a major league pitch since September of last year. Pablo Ozuna is a better option than Perez. And frankly, I think this guy should be batting lead off against lefties. Put Ozuna in at DH, bring up Josh Fields and platoon him with Mackowiak.

Eduardo Perez? The same guy with 79 career jacks, a .247 career batting average .326 OBP and .431 slugging? Enlighten me guys, how is this guy going to help the White Sox in any shape or form? This guy is less an offensive threat than ANYONE on the White Sox -- even Darrin Erstad. His career high in RBI's in 52. 52! Is this really the best option we've come up with?

For the Bulls fans: CHICAGO HAS TAKEN A 3-0 SERIES LEAD.
-
Update for the Bulls fans: Chicago has come back from 12 down in the third. They have a 3 point lead with 8 minutes to go in the 4th.

This thread is a real downer. Makes me thinks the White Sox are 0-20.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 02:00 AM) Is this true? I'm stunned. Yea... I'm pretty lost as to what's going on here. EDIT: Sometimes it helps to check the date of the post. Didn't realize this one came from 2004.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 05:56 PM) Winamp is obsolete in my eyes, I had it back in 2000 or so though. It's not, actually. It just depends what the user wants. I got rid of iTunes because it took up too much RAM, always wanted me to update, had limited customability (is that a word?), and too many useless features that I couldn't get rid of. I don't use Winamp either, but it's certainly not obsolete.

Fox gave "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" a chance. It initially aired on FX, but got poor ratings in the first season. They re-aired the first season on Fox and saw the same trend. They signed it for a second season though. (Maybe because Danny Devito was added to the cast?) And it paid off big time. I'm not sure what the deal is, but FX has a pretty good line-up of shows. Rescue Me, Nip Tuck, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I wonder why they put these shows on FX and not the national network.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:03 PM) They could send it tomorrow and none of us, nor our grandchildren, nor their grandchildren, nor THEIR grandchildren, ect would ever find out. As fo August of 2006, The Voyager 1 space craft is only .002 light years from the sun and It's been out in space for over 29 years!!! At that rate, it would take 297,250 years to reach this newly found planet. That's incredible. The size of the universe is mind boggling. Even if we ever figure out how to travel and the speed of light, things will still be out of our reach.

What the hell??? Why is the Wii so hard to find still?
BobDylan replied to Kid Gleason's topic in SLaM
QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) The Wii is all about people outside the gaming demo. It's why it will crush 360 and the PS3. Also why it will fail in the end. If people aren't "gamers" they won't keep coming back. They'll find a game, get their fix in and then the system will gather dust. People who play the games as a close hobby, they continually purchase new games. They continually put money into it. I love my Wii, but as its been said already, it's a party system. Let the friends jerk with it awhile and whip the wiimotes around, but when I want to play a serious game, I power up my PS3. -
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 04:04 PM) I was hoping to see more from Brian Anderson. You have to make the most of your chances when you are trying to hang onto that roster spot. Lackadaisical play is what we saw. But todays game is what we have been used to in the past: runner on second with less than 2 outs and we always see a K and then an easy third out. Our big hitters grounding in to the DP is another one. Hopefully they get out of this. Definently the relief corp failed today though big time. We did have enough to win this one. Agreed. Pin this one on the offense. They knew coming into the game that they'd be shorthanded with pitching. The offense just flat out didn't get it done. They left a hell of a lot of runners on base and didn't put the Tigers away when they needed to.

QUOTE(chisox72 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) I call BS on that one... Zoolander is 1-4 with an ERA north of 7 against us.... This should have been a W. Period. I don't disagree. But the fact is the Sox put all their marbles in yesterday. Tough loss today, but if the Sox had all their tools available, they'd probably have walked out with a W. I'd rather put my marbles in sooner rather than later if the next day has Verlander on the hill.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) Is this one of those magical "other 40" games that Hawk always talks about? You know, win 60, lose 60... Just thinking about Paul Konerko right now makes me sick. No, I think yesterday's game was. Verlander was on the bump today, generally you chalk that up as an L. Sox couldn't get it done today, but they didn't have all their "A" guys available.
