White Sox vs. Phillies, 6/12/07 (L)
Tonight is going to be beyond embarrassing. I may watch just to see how many strikeouts Hamels gets tonight or if he can pitch a perfect game.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
Not too familiar with that thread title!?! But congrats to Mark on his 100th victory. At least he was able to get it with the Sox before he's gone. It should have been a nice easy 1-2-3 ninth, but the bullpen never fails to make it tough.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) 0 runs Man, it's going to be nasty when Hamels faces us. I predict a perfect game.

I sure hope Buehrle gets his 100th victory while still wearing a Sox uniform.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Sorry, I just got home. Why the f*** is Andy Gonzalez in right? He can't be any worse than Owens, right?

2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(G&T @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 04:50 PM) Schilling loses no-hit bid with 2 outs in the 9th against Oakland. That sucks. If there's one pitcher I'd be glad that happened to, it would be Schilling.

El Caballo's return is the only reason to watch this weekend.

Carlos Lee
I hope Carlos gets an ovation. If I were there tonight, I would cheer for him. I cheered for Durham, when he came back with the Giants. Regardless of clubhouse issues, etc. Whenever there is a former player who put up great numbers, I hope he gets showed the respect he deserved from his former team. Maggs not included.

It's Official
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 01:44 PM) The Kansas City Royals. Speaking of that, I actually would still rather have David Riske. That's saying a lot these days.

White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/02/07 (L)
Two in a row?? Huh? is it possible!?! I heard on the post-game show last night that the Sox have not had a hit off of an opposing relief pitcher since last Sunday's game. Pretty sad.

Amazing Owens stat
They are also 1-0 when he leads of a game in June, while batting leadoff against Toronto at night.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
Thank you Javy for making the Sox win on my birthday. A nice gift. Now get on a roll and it will be even better.

Disaster
I knew they would LOSE the ballgame. I used to say that I knew they would WIN. But, while watching at work, it was a complete and utter disaster with how that whole inning unfolded. Leading 6-1 and still lose!! I actually laughed when they lost. I'm at the point where this is downright comical.

Sox to face Clemens
I'm glad he's pitching Monday. If it was on Sunday night against Boston, ESPN would have treated it bigger than Super Bowl Sunday.

Remember when BBTN was good?
When Red Sox & Yankees are playing each other, there's really no point in watching it. You'd be lucky to see highlights of 5 other games after the in-depth, inside out, locker room interviews, ptich by pitch, inning by inning segments, analysis of the game. It's so intriguing. When Dice-K pitches, forget about it. BBTN is so biased it makes me sick.

QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ May 19, 2007 -> 10:47 PM) The long and winding road There has to be a twist I rode my motorcycle in the rain. flirtin with disaster He's going the distance Gonna eat a lot of Peaches And I was standin' on the side of the road Standing in line, marking time, waiting for the welfare dime Then I saw her face The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes A brown eyed girl in hand me downs Blinded me.....with SCIENCE She was the best damn woman I had ever seen Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds She ain't exactly small 42-39-56 BABY GOT BACK! She knows she got everything a woman needs to get a man, yeah. One Bourbon, one Scotch, one beer. I don't wanna touch you too much baby 'cuz making love to you might drive me crazy Cause southern belles are hell at night I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride Cowboy take me away Slob on my knob, like corn on the cob Lie back and let me unlock you I've got a brand new pair of roller skate, you've got a brand new key She's a super freak, a super freak, she's super freeeeakaaayyyyyy Why don't you come with me little girl, on a magic carpet ride? You aint seen nothing yet But with a magnifying glance, I just sort of look her over. Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing And I fell in to a burning ring of fire Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno! Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down, yoh! Yeah Im hot blooded, check it and see Feel the fever burning inside of me Lord amighty! I feel my temperature risin' I'm so hot for you and you're so cold Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart Let's get together Before we get much older. Because I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Walking on thin ice, I'm paying the price For throwing the dice in the air. You're as cold as ice. You're willing to sacrifice our love I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango- Turned cartwheels cross the floor Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind I'm so dizzy, my head is spinning. Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel spin. You're motoring, what's your price for flight?

White Sox vs. Cubs, 5/20/07 (W)
I thought the same thing when Felix Diaz was pitching a few years ago versus Zambrano. Stranger thing have happened. We'll just have to watch and see. Although I'll be at my in-laws, a house full of Cubs' fans, so it might not be the best atmosphere.

QUOTE(Texsox @ May 19, 2007 -> 06:51 AM) Our little ray of sunshine . . . Some people look at a glass and say it's half full, some look at the same glass and say it's half empty. Sox fans looks at the glass and says it's half full of s***ty tasting water because K-Dubya bought the wrong kind of water, Ozzie didn't know how to mix it, and we should have swapped our greater tasting water two years ago and we'd have a lake full of great water right now. Tex, that quote is one of the best I've read in years on this board. I've been getting good laughs reading everything on here. I agree with the topic, things will pick up.- Build a Story with Lyrics
