  1. Great signing. I see no reason why anyone would disagree with this move. Glad to have him around for a few more years.
  2. People on here are funny. Always trying to bring out the negatives in the players, instead of appreciating the positives. Javy has been one of the few bright spots of the season. I'm glad we have him for a few more seasons, bookended (is that a word? ) with Buehrle.
  3. Here's one of them that I did awhile back: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7...75541&hl=en
  4. Youtube pulled down my World Series videos that I made. $%^ Youtube!! I'll try Google Video and post them again.
  5. Happy 5th Anniversary Soxtalk. I miss Jabroni
  6. Typical a****** cop. Just like 95% of them. Later in the evening, that cop went into a bar and beat the piss out of bartender.
  7. Doesn't Scott Boras usually latch onto one of the top guys? Whoever he gets his hands on, cross him off the Sox list.
  8. Dear Thome, Please do not hit your next HR until Saturday night. Thanks, Me
  9. What a bunch of losers. Some chick needs to just kick them in the nuts for that.
  10. Hopefully, he hits it next Saturday -- since I'll be there. Thankfully, they were free tix.
  11. Sox will mess it up, somehow. Some names come to mind.... Bryan Bullington Brien Taylor Kyle Sleeth Matt Bush Jeff Allison
  12. The fact we were unable to unload him before his arm fell off and the fact that Garcia and Gavin Floyd have the same amount wins this year is a victory in itself. That and getting Gio Gonzalez, who may or may not amount to much more than hype.
  13. It would be nice to have a Top 10 pick, which we will probably get anyway. I remember the days of Larry Himes and Ron Schueler selecting quality prospects in Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Jack McDowell, Alex Fernandez, etc. Something tells me even with a Top 10 or even a Top 5 pick, KW will pick yet ANOTHER pitcher with a low ceiling who won't even sniff AAA. But that's JMO.
  14. I hope September will be a month to see whatever it is we have down on the farm. Otherwise, this weekend will be a great for Cleveland. Although, Detroit gets the Sox next. This should make the race interesting.
  15. The way Ozzie is acting and with the quotes I've read, he might just resign all together. Which would the team in an even bigger hole. Finding a manger, plus assembling a somewhat decent team.
  16. Picks to Click: Jim Tho...ah screw it. Who gives a flying f#$%
  17. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) I don't even really watch the games any more. I have the TV on, sometimes, to see the score, and that's about it. If I'm not getting frustrated, I'm bored off my butt. ^^^^^^^ I survived being a Sox fan through the entire 80s (not counting '83 of course). Back then, the Royals were decent and there were no Devil Rays to pick on. So I've been through it before. I just never thought I'd have to go through it again. If it's not frustration, its boredom, laughing at the mere pathetic play of the team or just waiting for damn season to end.
  18. This battle for last/4th place is intense. I've been on the edge of my seat all night. This is probably the biggest series of the season right here. Here we thought it would be against the Indians or Tigers....
  19. It may not happen, but I hope so. I'd rather he hold the record than Thomas.
  20. Justed pressed shuffle on my iPod and here is what came out... 1. Can't Believe A Single Word - VHS or Beta 2. Open Your Eyes - Snow Patrol 3. The Shining - Badly Drawn Boy 4. Sway - The Perishers 5. All The Same - Sick Puppies 6. Satellite - Guster 7. Destination Anywhere - Sugarcult 8. Crystal Village - Pete Yorn 9. Lazy Eye - Silversun Pickups 10. Caught By The River - Doves
  21. Very interesting. What about Crede? Where to play Fields? What about Dye? Re-sign him? Is Sweeney ready? Is Owens the answer for CF? Bring Rowand back? Sounds like Kenny has his work cut out for him this winter.
  22. He was a monster with that '94 team. I hope he keeps it up. Good luck to him.
  23. Truly amazing Bobby!! Not to beat a dead horse, but this will probably be mentioned in passing on BBTN. A bigger story for them will be what Joe Torre had for lunch.
  24. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 11, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) The proof is in the pudding. The guy has just tied an American League record for the most consecutive outs recorded in the 107 year history of its exsistance. Only one other guy has ever done it. How can you argue with those results? He has the the what the definition of a closer is supposed to be. Get outs to end the game. Easily. The guy has been freaking amazing lately. Remember this folks. He is one guy on the team that deserves a free pass when the time comes. Oh by the way, nice article on him on MLB.com http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb
