  1. Willie will forever be in Sox lore for scoring the only run in Game 4 of the World Series. Funny, how he struggled the whole year to get a hit and when it mattered most, he came through. So long, Wille. As for Timo, I hear the Cubs are looking for a right fielder?
  2. A channel that play music videos? What a concept. I never thought I'd see the day... How long until they start showing crap like "The Real World" or "Laguna Beach" ?
  3. Watched "Christmas Vacation" on NBC last night. Still a good one. "Since this is Aunt Bethany's 80th Christmas, I think she should lead us in the saying of Grace." "What, dear?" "Grace!" "Grace? She passed away thirty years ago. "
  4. Everything is falling into place: -Non-tender Timo & Willie. -Sign Mack, sign Joe (hope they don't break the bank with him, considering he's got Boras as his agent). -Sign Jose for 3 years. -Wait for the calls to come in for Garland.
  5. I thought he was going to get non-tendered?
  6. A Christmas Story. Have to see that at least once per year. -Elf -Bad Santa -Polar Express
  7. :headbang Good deal. Now cut out the wrestling.

  9. Great, first the Twins get Tony Bautista. Now this!! We're in big trouble.
  10. If you go to the Cardinals home page and scroll down to "More Sights and Sounds" you'll hear a nice interview with "Cards Broadcaster" John Rooney. He discusses the Sox, being the only local broadcaster in Chicago sports history to ever call a World Series Champion, and his future with the Cardinals.

  16. QUOTE(Drew @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) In the late 1980s, could be seen on local TV stations advertising the Stride Trainer, which were pretty much leg irons except made out of plastic and velcro, that one would tie to their ankles while taking batting practice. 19. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 07:36 AM) (begin green type) We don't know when the millionth post will arrive, we don't know which forum or thread the millionth post will be posted in, but if there's ONE THING we can be almost 100% certain about, it's this: SS2K5 is FAR more likely to post #1,000,000 than anyone else. It's 3AM at the House Of 2K5, and a hungry baby is crying: "It's OK, honey, I'll go feed her.....here's your bottle, sweetie.....now go back to sleep......." (clickityclickclickclickityclickclickclick) (end green type) I thought the Vazquez trade thread would hit 1 million posts by itself alone. But seriously. It's gotta be SSH2005broni. That's dude's always on here.

    HOWARD STERN....

Tomorrow will be a sad day for radio. I've been a huge fan of Stern for a long time. Funny, considering I used to hate him. "Private Parts" changed that. I love Fred and all of his sound effects. George Takei's "young, wet b****es", some porno chick's "oh, yeah!" I'll miss the entire crew. From Artie to Beetlejuice to High Pitch "who's High Pitch?" to Jeff the Drunk to Gary and Wendy the Retard. And, of course, RIP Hank the Drunken Dwarf. It was nice to hear Jackie this morning, but Artie is much better, IMO. Also, it would have been nice if Stuttering John came back just for a day. Some of my favorite bits were: Its Just Wrong, Stump the Booey and of course, the Gossip Game. I'd like to buy Sirius, but I can't justify buying it just for Howard Stern, who I only get a chance to listen to for about an hour a day. Here's to you Howard. You'll definitely be missed. "This is Kelly Clarkson!"
  21. My thoughts: -Don't know much about Chris Young, but I thought Jerry Owens or even Ryan Sweeney would be in their plans first. -I wonder how the loss of El Duque would effect Contreras. -Losing Vizcaino, is nothing. Mop-up men are a dime a dozen.
  22. Got one as a early Christmas present. I love it. It really attracts dog hair, though. I see a lot of them at sports stores (Champs, Dick's) but they don't have the WS patch. try this site: www.mvp.com just ordered one from this site with the WS patch for my brother, who I won't see until after Christmas. Good luck.
  23. If the Sox were to throw in Young, the D'Backs should throw in Carlos Quentin.
