Congrats to Albert, one of the more classier guys in the game. Well deserved. However, I would not have disagreed with Jones winning it. First time someone not named Bonds has won this in the NL since 2000 (Jeff Kent) and first time since 1999 someone who hasn't played with Giants has won the award (Chipper Jones).

That's one day I will stay FAR away from the mall. I live 5 minutes from Woodfield. It's crowded at 7pm on a Wednesday. I don't want to know how it would be then. H.E.L.L.

I've never gone to any games in Tucson. I went all the time when they were in Sarasota. But that was years ago. The only ST game we went to last year was at Miller Park. That was a blast.

I LOVE Thanksgiving. I get to eat two dinners. My family's, then her family's. Plus, I get to see my sister and her family who I see twice a year, who will be visiting from Philly. Then, it's Turkey and Potatoes for a week.

Chichamps.com Everything you could ever want, all on one web site. There's a HUGE WS flag I may order, so I can be the obnoxious neighbor hanging it from my balcony. -
Now's Mike North's chance to get the gig!!!

Personally, Ortiz deserved it more.

Well, with Christmas fast approaching. My brothers have decided on what to get my dad, who's been enjoying this more than anyone in my family. Only 5,000 available. Big Time Bats Just for good measure, we're throwing this in for him: Yeah, I think he'll like Christmas this year. -
QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) Never seen them but the Fox promo with the fat lady screaming made me curious, I guess I missed that one. That show you talk of was run constantly during the playoff. Meet your new mommy, I think it's called. In any case, that lady was freakin' scary. If she's my new mommy, I want a do-over Never really "got" Arrested Development. I'm sure it might get picked up by another network. I was surprised that "7th Heaven" got cancelled. Surprised, because I didn't even know it was still on. The one good thing that came out of that show ----- Jessica Biehl.

Went to KC to see Kauffman Stadium ages ago. Stayed at the same hotel as the Sox. -Ran into Ron Karkovice -Was on the elevator with Greg Hibbard. Quiet. -Also, met Tim Raines. Very friendly. -Finally go the chance to ask Hawk the question I've been dying to know "Why do you call Warren Newson the Deacon?" His response "Because he looks like a preacher" Met Ron Kittle in Spring Training when they were in Sarasota. Extremely friendly. My mom met Andre Dawson and got his autograph for me. At Soxfest: I met Albert Belle the year he came here, seemed like a nice guy. I guess he was only a bad guy with the media. Finally. Finally. Finally. Finally. After standing in line for 2 1/2 hours I got to meet my favorite Sox player of all-time. You guessed it. Robin Ventura.

John Rooney - New Cards Radio Announcer
bjm676 replied to CardsJimEdmonds15's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Congrats to him. I'll have to listen to the Cards' feed next summer when they visit the Cell. -
Closest vote since 1998. Willis finishes a close second.

Boras looks like the kind of guy who was shoved in a locker a few too many times when he was in high school. f*** him. I wish owners would say the same thing to him. As for Rosenhaus, I'll just quote Richard Roeper who sums him up perfectly:

Mark Shapiro, NOT Kenny Williams, Exec of the Year
bjm676 replied to The Ginger Kid's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's over and done with, but still trying to figure out why Shapiro won this. What did he do in the offseason? Sign Millwood? Jose Hernandez? He kept pretty much the same team that he had the previous year. The only thing he really did was lay the groundwork for a POTENTIAL contending team. Everything else is up to the manager. Oh, well. -
Surprised Garner didn't win it in the NL, but Cox did play through a s***load of injuries.

Good for her, I hope she gets it. I'm sure she's more than qualified. Also, the old ass GMs are starting to feel threatened by the new breed:

Must be an error. I think Eric Wedge deserves it. Let the media continue to suck off the Indians. Congrats, Oz!! Much, much deserved.

-Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately. -Well, I wouldn't exactly say I've been *missing* it, Bob. ---------------------------- -The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any of the slopes were gonna get their greasy yellow hands on his boy's birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you. ------------------------------------ -Luke, I am your father! ------------------------------------ -Who wants an orange whip? Orange whip? Orange whip? Three orange whips. -It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. -Hit it. These are from some of my favorite movies of all-time.
