  1. Those commemorative Tribune "Believe It!" and Sun-Times books are at Waldenbooks. Just to let everyone know. Saves you on shipping costs. I've already looked through them both. Very cool.
  2. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) Just did a check, I'm almost positive it was Martinez. I was thinking Dave, but couldn't come up with his last name for some reason. Mouton is quite a bit larger than Dave, right? Yes, he is. Almost reminds me of Carlos Lee. JMO.
  3. Garland and Buehrle pretty much cancelled each other out. It was pretty much the entire rotation that was part of their strength this year. Which one would I pick? World Series Trophy Post-Season Awards
  4. Brad Pitt is such an idiot. Yes, I'd take her over Angelina.
  5. I wish that Mancow would just vanish or move to satellite. Stern gets me through the mornings as well. But I just can't justify buying Sirius just for him. There's always his TV show. I was just a little kid in the 80's, so I don't remember Jonny B, too much. Guess there's never a better time than now to start listening.
  6. I knew heard him talk. It just took me by surprise from all the other names being thrown around.
  7. Happy Happy You're DVDs are on the way!!
  8. My thoughts on the Cubs: :fthecubs
  9. I miss Saturday morning cartoons. Eating cereal, not doing anything on Saturday until the afternoon... Also, Before the Internet or the AIM Before semi automatics and weed Before playstation2 or X-bOX Before the 5 hours of homework you put off every night... Way back... I'm talkin' bout hide and go seek at dusk. Red light, Green light. Playing kickball & dodgeball until your porch light came on. Mother May I? Red Rover four square Hula Hoops Running through the sprinkler Happy Meals Getting the privelage to sit in the front seat of the car Christmas morning... Your first day of school Bedtime Prayers and Goodnight Kisses Climbing trees Getting an ice cream off the ice cream truck A million mosquito bites and sticky fingers Jumpin' down the steps Jumpin' on the bed Pillow fights Runnin' till you were out of breath Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt and you almost peed your pants Being tired from playin' all day Your first crush... Rainy days at school meant playing "Heads up 7-Up" in the classroom Remember that? I'm not finished yet... Kool-Aid was the drink of the summer Giving your friends a ride on your handlebars or spokes Wearing your new shoes on the first day of school Class Field Trips When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there. When getting high was swinging on the swingset When $5 seemed like a million, and another dollar a Miracle. When your parents took you to McDonalds and you were so cool. When Toys r Us overuled the "mall" I want to go back to the time when... Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-moe" Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!" "Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest. Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly" Catching fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends. Being old, referred to anyone over 20. The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties. Nobody was prettier than Mom Nobody was cooler than Dad Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park. Getting an inch of snow was a dream come true. Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare" Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.
  10. dry clean. Bought a WS patch that I'm going to have sewn onto my Buehrle jersey. Taking it to the taylor, of course. Might as well have them dry clean it as well.
  11. Nice piece on chicagosports.com http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/ex...x/whitesox.html If you can't login for whatever reason, go here: Bugmenot
  12. My third and final video of this dream season is complete. Check it out. World Series Video 2005 Enjoy.
  13. If anyone is having trouble downloading or viewing, PM me. I have it on my hard drive. I'll happily send it to you.
  14. Hope everyone views it and enjoys it. Intro Video Montage
  15. Comcast will be replaying the parade/rally at 7pm
  16. The balls in your court, KW and JR.
  17. I don't see us bringing Carl back. What if Frank comes back? Then it's everyone's favorite catchphrase for Carl, "where would he play?" He'll move on to somewhere else. We can use his money for better things.
  18. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Overhead view I see myself!
  19. Just got back. Wow! Do people love the White Sox!! It felt like Times Square with all the confetti! Tried going to the Rally, stayed for the intro video and Ed Farmer, then headed back. There had to have been about 100,000-150,000 people there. Amazing. Can't wait to watch this at home.
  20. 9:30 AM train out of Arlington Park was SRO. Felt like I was on the Red Line. Couldn't say I was mad. It was packed with Sox fans. Time to head to the parade, then to the Rally Crede with some co-workers. Catch 'yall later.
  21. The wife called to tell me. Luckily, I DVR'd it before I rushed out the the train. Caught about 5 minutes of it. Politte, Cotts, Pods, AJ, Buehrle, etc. were all on.
  22. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) I say, leave all our guys at home and play a double infield of Morneau and Broussard at 1st, Martinez and Mauer at C, Hunter and Sizemore in CF, etc. That's a good idea. Just in case Sizemore loses a ball in the lights, Hunter will be there to catch it.
