  1. Reading Sleazak's and Moron-atti's columns today my biggest concern with the guy wasn't his language in rapping but his choice in agents....he's a Rosenhaus guy. UGH!!!!!!!!!
  2. Not that it makes it any better but MLB says the pitch might have glanced off his shoulder then in his grill. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Maybe Grienke didn't get any of the bubbly that Hunter sent!!!! Side note: I think it's great to watch the Royals play someone in the division tough BESIDES the Sox. I swear, last year the Royals look like a team of gold glovers when they play the Sox then they would go to Detroit, take a lead into the 8th then hand them the game. Go Royals!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. first 4 episodes are online and very good entertainment. i guess 2 more were 'on the can' and Fox says they will air them in the summer. First off...it's bad enough they're taking the show off the air after only four episodes but then wait to air the last two???? what's the point??? it's not like they are going to reveal anything seeing as how they were supposed to be the 5th and 6th episodes of the series. Man...i'm really bummed about this. Drive was one of the few shows (Lost,Scrubs, The Shield) that i tried to work my schedule around so i could watch. SCREW YOU AGAIN FOX TELEVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Fox is pulling 'Drive' from its lineup after the drama got disappointing ratings in first four outings. Fox has impounded "Drive," steering the show off the network highway after four episodes. Despite decent reviews, "Drive" quickly stalled, averaging just a 2.3 rating and 6 share among adults 18-49, and 5.6 million viewers overall. Monday night's "Drive" didn't help matters, coming in fifth place for the hour (1.5/5) and driving "24" to record lows, dropping Fox to fourth for the night. Having shoved a Denver boot on "Drive," Fox has now gassed up "House" repeats in the Monday 8 p.m. slot. Net is still mulling whether to burn off the last two remaining segs of "Drive" on air, or stream the final segs online. Fox revved up six segs of "Drive," which revolved around a group of people forced to take part in an illegal cross-country race. Nathan Fillion stars. Tim Minear and Ben Queen created and exec produce "Drive," which comes from 20th Century Fox TV. Greg Yaitanes also exec produced. SCREW YOU FOX TELEVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heaven forbid a show doesn't start off with monster ratings right out of the gate. Oh wait...this is Fox we are talking about. they have such a great track record with sticking with slow starting shows. I guess they could come up with some other crappy reality show that will be off the air quickly (anyone remember Who's you Daddy???) or fill with House reruns(which they will do). Hell....even "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" got a post American Idol slot. It's a friggin game show....did it really need that leadin audience to survive???? wouldn't it have been better to put Drive there so maybe more people could see the first episode and possible get hooked (like Alpha Dog and i did...were we the only ones????) The problem with that is, any new one-hour drama cannot do monster ratings unless you let people know that they might get to find out what the hell happens. Too bad. It’s a great show, and Fox has stayed true to their past by screwing yet another decent show right out of existence. So Fox...... Man....i hope someone else picks up this show.
  5. What goes together better than Mr. T , a tank, and a soccer wuss??????
  6. ...and for those here who care about such things...the next WWE movie production has been announced.... "The next major WWE film to be released is titled, Journey of Death. Paul Levesque (Triple H) will be portraying Jonah Hawk. The basic plot of this movie is a modern-day Western where gangs, drug trafficking and broken codes of honor rule. This action movie is scheduled for a 2009 release in the United States. The movie is written by Alan B. McElroy, and directed by John Milius. At this time there are no other cast members released."

  13. Pretty much the first ads that come to mind for me is any of those Sierra Mist ads starring anyone who has appeared on ANY VH1 show (ie. Best Week Ever or I Love the '80's) Come on people....you're professional comedians....you should be offended as a comedian by doing such unfunny material no matter WHAT the paycheck is.
  14. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 03:56 PM) well this thread took an interesting turn and not necessarliy an 'upward' turn
  15. NEW YORK Brant Parker, who worked on "The Wizard of Id" comic with Johnny Hart, died yesterday at the age of 86. His death came just eight days after Hart died at the age of 76. Creators Syndicate distributes "The Wizard of Id" to more than 1,200 newspapers. Creators President Rick Newcombe said in a statement: "Brant was a truly innovative mind in the comics world. The artistry he displayed in 'The Wizard of Id' was remarkable for its consistency and creativity." The Los Angeles-born Parker -- who won the National Cartoonists Society's 1984 Reuben Award as top cartoonist -- also worked as a newspaper staff artist, editorial cartoonist, magazine cartoonist, greeting card artist, IBM advertising/promotion person, and at Walt Disney Productions during his career. The 43-year-old "Wizard of Id," like Hart's 49-year-old "B.C." comic, will be continued by family members.
  16. This was a few years ago but after he left town i couldn't stand Ellis Burks. There he was a guy that would have been out of baseball if it weren't for the Sox. They helped him through his rehibilitation and helped him put together a great year. Then the Sox make him an offer but he blows it off...goes somewhere else and has the nerve to bad-mouth the Sox. hey jack-ass....the team (and fans) embraced you when noone else would and you turned out to be a real jerk. Ellis Burks---->
  17. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 05:34 PM) Conspiracy or not, I think she lacks personality and especially "charm". She has the voice, but that is about it. I don't think she has warmed herself to the audience at all, and I would bet that is why Ryan asked her what her motivation for trying out for the show was. They were playing the sympathy card to remind us about her being a single parent. When Fantasia was on a few seasons ago, i was stunned at how often she and the show dropped the fact she was a single parent. Heck...i think the last three or four shows her son was shown on camera. I would think a single mom wouldn't 'play' in middle america but i guess i was wrong. Also...if above spoiler is correct i would be happy about tonight's show. There would be no loss of personality for the show
  18. QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:16 PM) a few quick comments from me; -According to dialdiol everyone is in danger tonight except for Blake -Haley was by far the worst. -I thought phil did alright, until his voice cracked. Depends how much people are bothered by that momentary mistake. -Blake stole the show. Easily the best performance of the night, maybe of the season. -Lakisha is on the bottom of dial idol, although thats no promise shes gone unfortunatly, since Haley was in that spot last week. -Sanjaya did well vocally in my opinion. Not my taste in music so its not something I can go back on, download and enjoy like I did with bathwater and waiting on the world. -Tonights result show is 1 hour -Chris Richardson is getting a lot of negitive reviews from websites and people at work, but I actually like his performance. -Melinda....same ol same ol. Great voice, but just does nothing for me. -Jordin...well, it was quite forgetable and hopefully wont cost her, but she is 2nd to last on dialidol predictions. I guess it was just me then but i was far from impressed with Blake last night. Don't get me wrong....i have liked everything he's done so far and wasn't near the worst last night but I didn't like his song. (I do like the Marc Anthony version). I think Phil will continue to ride his wave into the bottom three and off the show tongight. Though if it was Haley i wouldn't be too surprised.
  19. Top 10 ways to have fun.....
  20. QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 12:36 AM) I thought the funniest part of the episode was the gratuitous fall in the mud that Kate and Juliet took running away from the monster. Actually...i think that scene could only be called gratitious if they started wrestling and ripping each others clothers off..then about halfway through realize their anger masks latent lesbian tendencies and after a longing look start making out. I mean....yeah....it was better written the way it was
  21. Just an odd wrestling note....former WCW/WWE tag team champ and MMA fighter Sean O'Haire got his butt kicked outside a bar the other night.........sound pretty bad butt-kicking
  22. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 05:38 AM) Very poor taste to put the Hayabusa one in there. Same for the Austin piledriver. And goddamn Hogan sandbagged on that chokeslam from Taker. Surprised to see just 1 Gayda botch and a few from the Briscoes. ...and watching Lesnar screw a few up was painful to see. it was funny watching Lesnar with his man on his shoulders just standing there waiting for Angle to run in and Angle can't get the door open so he puts his man down and after Angle climbs into the cage, picks his guy back up so he can have his leg taken out from under him.
  23. Botched wrestling moves Man.....some of these look really painful.
  24. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) WOW! I am going to choose to skip the rest of the show it looks like, as the music choices absolutely BLOW! Jennifer Lopez!?! Somebody just shoot me right now. Country week, eh? How do you think LaKisha and Melinda will squeeze in their R&B stuff? Anybody know if Aretha ever did a "country-ish" tune? I don't think they need to squeeze any R & B into their country songs...they will probably pick a gospel-ish country song and belt it out. It's been that way for a few years on AI now. Though i still remember Fantasia singing "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" during country week. i still remember thinking WTF!!!!
