QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 06:10 PM) Clones on national TV tomorrow night, if you have FCS. Don't confuse us with USC. At least you're not trying to be the Colts like Duke: http://www.goduke.com//pics8/1024/CF/CFUJO...80803214138.jpg -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) problem is that Bowden has thing man crush on Weatherford for some reason. It's almost to the point where he knows exactly what Weatherford will give him and he's scared to take a chance on something new b/c it might take a few games for progress to be made. Getting rid of Weatherford will just help speed up the getting better process at FSU. Kinda like us getting rid of Wright and Freeman. Just pisses me off that Marve got injured last year b/c we couldve started the new era a lot sooner. I know its not the truth, but they say Jimbo has full control on the QB situation. Unfortunately, we all know that's not true. I'm pissed Marve got suspended for the first game. I pray that UM beats UF, but Marve being out only hurts, unless Jacory kicks ass (I don't really know much about him though). I do like Marve a lot though. -

Not that anyone cares here because we suck, but I really hope D'Vontrey Richardson gets the QB job. He was the sleeper behind Drew Weatherford and Christian Ponder. However, in practice he's been performing very well. Drew Weatherford is in his 4th year and still can't move the ball, Ponder has a sore throwing shoulder, and EJ Manuel is going to red-shirt. D'Vo provides some spark due to the fact he can throw and run. He also is a really good baseball player. However, he didn't play during his Sophomore season to focus on becoming the starting QB and I guess it could be paying off. Jimbo Fisher really likes him to so that helps. In the end though, I bet Drew will start because he's a 4th year player despite not doing anything in the previous three years. Hopefully since our first two games are jokes, D'Vo will get to play and show what he's got. This season could be rough though. I hope not, I can't take another s*** season. -
I guess to fit the true theme of the thread, I usually go the comfortable route. For example: gym shorts (must have pockets), t-shirt, flip-flops.

I have a love/hate of the first day. I love that classes are short, but when you have 5 classes from 8 to 1:10, it gets pretty lame since you wait for 30+ minutes between classes. Thank god for Tuesdays and Thursdays off! One of my teachers is awesome. Her name is Jo Ann Graf. She coached softball here for 30 years, got her PhD while coaching, and just retired after this season to become a full time college professor. I have 3 classes with her: Principle of Coaching, Intro to Sports Management, and Issues in Sports Management. Needless to say, she has a pretty good background for teaching those classes.

QUOTE (Shamrock4Life @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 12:03 AM) don't we restart that game in the bottom of the 11th down by 3? odds are we don't even need to have a pitcher pitch in that game. i don't know if the quote thing works like that here. The game is tied 3-3 in the top of the 12th. -
Wow, sick double play. C'mon Angels, pull it out.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 09:34 AM) You used to post at nfl-fans? Under what name? Same name. I only had like 150 posts though; I lurked a lot. Really when I was brought over here, I stopped posting over there all together. I also wonder what happened to the site. I went looking for it around draft time and it definitely isn't the same as I remember.

You know who I wish would come back? Goldmember. He's the one that brought me over here from NFL-Fans in the first place.

Man, screw NBC. You can show all the US qualifying events live two months before the Olympics, but then when the 100m final comes you cant show it on one of the 5 channels live? What a joke. -

Now, I didn't expect to get Sox/As here tomorrow on Fox, but when I found out I'll be getting the Angels/Indians instead I got mad. I really really do not like the Fox broadcasts!

Wow, Cuba stands a lead off triple in the top of the 10th inning. USA has a chance to win it in the bottom before it goes to wacky rules. Talk about another crazy injury; the US batter fouled a bunt off his face and was bleeding pretty bad. Cuba beats the US 5-4. -

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:41 PM) Thats what I was trying to get into at SIU and they ended up trying to stick me in the law program with a minor in marketing. At one point I was thinking about majoring in business with a minor in SPM. However, my adviser told me I'd be fine since I'm going to be going to grad school. As of now my minor is going to be communications, but I took all of the background business courses so I can change it at any point. I am also interested in going into law, but I am a little hesitant about that.

Tropic Thunder was hilarious. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes to DVD.

QUOTE (JFields27 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) If you dont mind me asking, where do you go? FSU. They have a great Sports Management program, can't wait to get into an internship next summer somewhere.
-
Right now I have: Intro to Public Relations Sports History Sports Law Sports Governance Career in Professional Sports Since it's my first year in the major, when drop/add comes I'm going to try to get Intro to Sports Management and drop either Career in Professional Sports or Sports Governance. I also might swap Sports Law for Principles of Coaching if the seats remain open. It should be a fun semester; a lot better than when I had to take Biology, Care and Prevention of Sports Injuries (that actually wasn't bad) and Anatomy last fall.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 05:20 PM) Whataburger for a fast food place and the price, cannot be beaten. Carl's Jr and their $10.00 burger can rub me. Jack In The Box is poison. I'm with you on that one. I'm surprised it took this long to get one mentioned. Besides burgers, their honey butter chicken biscuit is amazing for breakfast.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) I won't blame KW cuz it sounded like he was trying to get relief help. Sounded like he was linked to about 4 or 5 names. Still has another month. Exactly, he tried. It's not like he can just hit a button and pull off a trade. If he did get someone, I bet more than half the board would b**** about who he gave up.
