Andino was safe at second, but the ball beat him there. Oh well, at least Jorge came through and hopefully Gregg can seal the deal.

I like how as this was all going down, the Peoria Chiefs announcer was reacting to the fans booing after the idiot threw the ball into the stands. He said something like "I don't know why they're booing, it's their hotheaded players that started all of this."

http://sports.espn.go.com/minorlbb/news/story?id=3504480 Cubs minor league pitcher, Julio Castillo, faces felony charges during a brawl where he tried to throw the ball into the dugout to hit an opposing player, but missed and struck a fan sending him to the hospital. Edit: Sorry, I didn't see this posted at first, but it's in the Cub thread. More on the arrest here: http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=438026

Maybe if Hester actually learned the playbook at Miami he would have been a first rounder and wouldn't have these issues. Then again, if he would have been a 1st rounder, I doubt he'd be with the Bears right now. -

Anyone see Aramis Ramirez hot dog a fly ball in the 3rd? He gave a little jump, flipped the bat and thought it was gone. Then the ball was caught on the warning track and Ramirez looked dumbfounded throwing his helmet to the ground. Naturally the two Cub idiots didn't say jack about it besides getting excited because they thought it was a homer as well.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 10:45 PM) Wacthing my grandma drink a cup of coffee and/or watching an artificial plant grow is just about more enjoyable then watching a bunch of professional baseball players try to hit it a baseball the Dan Ryan everytime. Then please do us a favor and watch that instead.

Twins get all the calls. Looks like the Yankees gunned the 2nd run down at the plate. You can even see the runners finger move from getting hit with the glove. However, the ump was in horrible position and missed it. 2-2 Bottom 2. Edit: Blackburn out after 1 2/3. 6-2 Yankees, still bottom 2 with 2 men on and 2 out.

Hah, I found it interesting that former collegiate teammate, Tony Delmonico, was the one who got the RBI double against Strauss.

Wow, I'm shocked Miramar is on there.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 02:11 AM) Kinda off topic, does any team have less than the Sox?? Colorado?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) Cubs lose What a horrible throw from Edmonds. I thought Tejeda was meat at the plate. Edit: Maybe I'm being harsh, but I still didn't think it was that great.

Good to see Strauss settle down. During his first outing on July 4th, he didn't record an out and allowed 4 ER on 3 hits and a walk. Since then he has thrown 6 innings, allowing only 1 hit, 0 walks, and recording 5 Ks.

$4.15 for regular unleaded in Marco Island, FL. Luckily since Marco Island is so small I can bike/walk pretty much anywhere. I heard gas is $4.20 for regular unleaded in Tallahassee, FL. There they have a campus bus that comes every 15 minutes right across the street from my apartment complex. I also bike to campus as its less than 2 miles, and Publix is a 2 minute walk for me.

Vlad is also going to be in the home run derby despite not being an all star.

Jamie Burke pitched an inning today against the Tigers. However, in the 15th inning, he gave up a double to M. Cabrera, threw a wild pitch, then allowed Miggy to score on a sac fly and got the loss.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) Floyd's as good as Danks except for the ERA. I was just going to edit my post with that haha.

QUOTE (north side chi sox fan @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) Your 2008 Whitesox All-Stars include Joe Crede and Carlos Quentin. Per my friend that works with SOX Including, but not limited to I'm hoping. Danks, JD, and AJ deserve to be there.
