QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 16, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) Last minute or last 3 minutes, it's still a game changing type call. Yes but it was the right call. Im leaving it at that too. And I have no clue what you meant with the arguing crap i barely ever respond to your posts anymore. Not much to argue you with since Curry been gone. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 16, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) Because there was nothing malicious about the foul, nothing different than any foul breaking up a fastbreak layup. You cannot decide a huge playoff game because a foul on a layup was a little hard. But you will not admit that, it's your job to argue with me over nothing. Anyway...f*** THAT s***...CAVS BALL UP 1. 2.3 LEFT CAVS WIN w0000000000t NOW GO MAVS Argue with you over nothing? Unlike you im not really rooting for either team. But to me the right call was made. The player didnt even touch the ball just basicly jumped into the player. Thats a flagrant. If it was in the last minute or less than that maybe I would just call it a regular foul but still had time left. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 16, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) That's s***, you can't call a flagrant at that point in the game Why is that? -
I have a lot of respect for Joe Crede now

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 16, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) he's right there with any third baseman in the league -- and he's got more rings than ARod. So does Timo Perez whats your point? -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 16, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Fields has 7 sb this year, I believe, so he's got some. And he has a pretty good arm too. He might look like Carlos Lee at first but I think he could adjust to playing LF.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 15, 2006 -> 11:09 PM) Good to see Charlie pitch a good game after his stint up with us. The only problem is he had 6 walks. Id rather see him give up some runs and lower his walk total than give up a bunch of walks. In the minors it might not hurt him but obviously in the majors it did.
-
I dont really see us making any significant moves at the deadline anyways so dont think guys like Fields/Sweeney will be part of any trade. At the most we would bring in a bullpen arm but I dont really see that happening either.
-
Its not like Sweeney has shown a lot of power in the minors? He still seems to be doing fine besides the injury. Hernadez is doing alright I think. I expect a lot of these guys to pick it up the 2nd half of the season when they are more comfortable with the level of competition.

at the lower levels(low A and High A) we have some real raw but high potential guys. In Low A their is Paulo Orlando, Salvador Sanchez, Francisco Hernandez and Aaron Cunningham. There is also Vernon Carter but he really struggled the first 2 weeks and I havent heard anything about him since. In High A there are probably 2 guys you want to keep your eye on. Anderson Gomes has the tools to be a star supposedly but not much is really known about him. If Randar is even on I think he has seen him live. As for pitchers the only one in the lower lvl's that has a lot of talent is Wes Whisler. At the moment he seems to either dominate or totally suck. In AA its where our pitching prospects are at. Our 3 main guys are Laynce Broadway, Tyler Lumsden, and Ray Liotta. All 3 have really pitched well so far especially Broadway who has flat out dominated. Although he projects to be a middle to back of the rotation guy. Lumsden has the best stuff but been injury prone in his short career. Im not 2 familiar with Liotta but he was awesome last year and the sox seem pretty high on him. The two hitters in AA to keep an eye on are Getz and Valido... who also happen to be the leadoff guys. Getz can do it all besides hitting for power. So far Getz has done pretty well batting near the .300 mark while Valido has struggled. Valido can do it all and is very gifted defensively. He also has been a tremedous base stealer so far. In AAA the one pitcher that everyone seems to like is Sean Tracey. Tracey projects to probably be a RP in the bigs possibly as a closer.... he has a rubber arm. The 2 hitters probably are best established prospects too are Ryan Sweeney and Josh Fields. So far both have had a lot of success but Sweeney is currently on the DL. As you can see Fields is completely tearing it up.
-
With how well he has done in AAA im starting to get excited about him. I know KW has a history of trading away prospects but him, Sweeney, Valido, and Getz im kind of looking forward to being future whitesox starters. Its kind of far fetched but oh well one can dream.
-
Idonno about Politte but I have no problem with Cotts. Ozzie doesnt seem to have as much faith in him now that he is good as he did in begining of last year when he was bad.

QUOTE(rangercal @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:14 AM) ahh!! too many 101's Im the 1st... he is just an imposter planted here to make me look worse than I already do.
-
I think Josh Fields will be in the majors for us next year. Whether it be at LF or 3B I dont know but he will be starting for the whitesox in 07 as long as he doesnt totally tank.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:09 AM) Other than the 31 homers last year, 6 for 14 and World Series MVP, and another very good start this year (which should continue).....along with solid defense, what has he ever done for us? What does that have anything with the underated tag?
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:07 AM) HAS to be in the top 10 for most underrated. Dye never gets talked about, even by most Sox fans, and he has done huge things for this club. That has to be the 100th time Ive seen him called underated..... which in all honesty gets rid of the underated tag. I remember when everyone was calling Beltran underated b4 going into his f/a year with the Royals....

Report: Dolan to buy out Larry Browns contract
GoodAsGould replied to Kyyle23's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I think Knicks just need to suck it up and let all these contracts expire. They cant afford to bring any f/a's and thanks to their Curry trade arent getting better in the draft. Just keep Brown and let this mess take care of itself in a few years than re-evaluate the team and figure out what your going to do. -
I dont know about making the trip to cooperstown..... but I will definitely be happy the day he makes it. Still my favorite sox player of all time.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 12, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) Laff... anderson would be lucky to get close hunter's level... not the other way around. This is getting carried away lately. Maybe you havent watched Hunter play much this season.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 12, 2006 -> 05:14 AM) That's hilarious. On the PhilliesPhan site, some dude said that the padding would be dedicated to the memory or Aaron Rowand's face. Oh yeah, and some other dude had a brain cramp and said that Germans bombed Pearl Harbor. Great site. Link to the site.

So for everyone that watched the game... How did Haeger's knuckler look and did he mix in his other pitches a lot or not really(fastball/Slider). Also I know he obviously did poorly but rather than stretch B-Macs arm our for 1-2 starts id much rather keep him in his bullpen role unless a starter is going to be out for an extended period of time. Also I think next year if Haeger is called up he will have Stewart to throw too who he should be much more comfortable throwing too.

When I had my Felix Pie signature and avatar I got a lot of crap lol. But in actuality you all know that Felix Pie is the greatest =p.

ESPN AM 1000: Programming Changes
GoodAsGould replied to southsideirish71's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yeah i enjoyed the show too. And thats surprising since on ESPN i usually found Salisbury or whatevr annoying. I guess when your restricted to the East Coast teams its hard to do a good job. In fact I used to be a hardcore Score guy but now Im liking ESPN way more. The only show ill listen to is on the Score anymore is Mike North. Dont ask why I just find it hilarious. -
well one research paper done. I think I did a pretty damn good job too considering it was all in 1 night. Now i get my 2nd night of no sleep doing my 2nd research paper. Yahh for maybe 2-3 hours of sleep in 48 hours.
