I think Mitre can be a solid 4-5 guy in the rotation eventually... Vargas has some potential and dont they have Pettit waiting in the wings. As for the offense I think the first 2 games define them perfectly... a lot of nothing or everything. But the offense should be pretty good as soon as next year with the talent the guys playing have.

This should be the pitchers duel we have all been waiting for from the first 2 games.

Looks like they have some pretty good hitting prospects to watch... Hernandez, Carter, Cunningham, and Sanchez. Too bad cant say the same with the pitching

Freddy can still pitch... but a lot of games he shows lack of intensity in my eyes... the games when he is pumped he is arguably our best pitcher... but half the time it seems he doesnt put forth full effort.

Why wouldnt Cliff Lee start?

Even if Contreras isnt as good as last season.... I think he can keep his era in the high 3's low 4's which would give him still good trade value going into the off-season.

my Rangers friend was really pissed they lost Dominguez for basicly nothing...

When guys have proved themselves during a major league season I dont really care what they do in the spring... so those stats really mean nothing to me.

the first 2 Cleveland pitchers are both tough lefties so I really wouldnt mind all that much if Pods didnt start until game 3.....

Atlanta has a lot of young stud players but I dont think they are really going anywhere.... like you said if Charlotte adds a capable SG this off-season they might be a team to watch for and Toronto can make a little noise too if James is brought back.

Yeah teams like Toronto and Charlotte even though sucking arent too far away. The Raptors will have 3 really good players starting in Bosh, Villanueva, and James... add that in with a high draft pick prob immediate impact player and they can make some noise. Than all Charlotte needs is Okafur to stay healthy and a SG in the draft.

Loved it man.... for some reason after the Angels series and it showed the city and everything it almost brought tears to my eyes. Also seeing that photo of Timo Perez after he brought in the winning runs was just plain awesome... it actually made me miss him. And than this is just weird... even though he wasnt in it I kept thinking of the time where Marte ran to home and tagged a guy out to end a game against the Royals.... after a wild pitch or something thats the only photo I would of added in.
