  1. weird so we could of had pudge and urbina at a discount and it didnt happen , anyways after this hot start and ozzie's recent contract extension maybe KW will let Ozzie have what he wants a little bit more in the future.
  2. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 12:12 AM) How long did it take you to do the entire mlb draft. I always wanted to do it, but I got sick of it after the 8th round. it takes hardly anytime at all.... maybe if you want to do all the minor leagues that takes time but to just draft the mlb team isnt that long.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:13 PM) My brother was in quite a few classes with Dee last semester, and they talked about stuff when doing group projects. As it goes without saying, Dee's not the perfect angel that a lot of Illini fans make him out to be. Dee wants the money NOW! well as of now he wont make as much money if he waits a year anyways.... This could be the deepest draft in years and he was already probably a 2nd rounder and with the injury will fall ever further...
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) And is't Colon pitching tonight.. ? That's gonna leave a mark. Colon and Guillen are from the same country and usually foreign players from the same country have idonno a pact with each other... a course there are exceptions lol Ozzie/Maggz
  5. he is a good player though, should be a big boost for the Rays next year... they werent that bad last year with him...
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) Trust me, Dee is looking for any and every possible way to stay in the draft. By far, his last option is to return to the Illini and play without his buddies Luther and Deron. Besides what you read in the paper, I know for a fact that Dee's not exactly a fan of Bruce Weber. and how would you know this, from what ive seen and here is that Dee is a very nice guy and didnt seem to have any problems with anyone and told Weber to take him out of games b4 Luther. Just want to know how you know for a fact that Dee actually doesnt like Weber.
  7. eh that team going to be a butcher in the field lol :banghead
  8. i still dont see how people compare rogo and daigle... Rogo has been injured thats whats held him back daigle hasnt he has just sucked and now finally figured out High A ball........so people think he is a god :banghead
  9. jesus players dont run out a pop out all the time you think the barons manager over-reacted a little.... Maybe pull him out of the game but dont make such a damn big deal about it.
  10. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) I don't care how much of a prospect some people think Daigle is, but when you're hitting .367 with an OPS near 1.200 in any level, you have some gas in the tank. Timo could hit that in high a ball...
  11. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:15 AM) Randar is shooing away Daigle far too early. How many times have we seen a Scott Seabol or Joe Dillon toil away in the minors for years only to break out in their mid to late 20s or even early 30s? Daigle might have turned a corner, and then again it took Rogowski three years to move on past High-A. Randar seemingly pisses on everyone without really thinking about the other side of the coin, when the likelihood of Daigle perhaps becoming somewhat productive in the high levels of minor league baseball isn't too shabby. Only reason it took Rogo so long like its been said before so many times is because of injuries... Basicly Rogo is a much greater prospect than Daigle and Rogo isnt that high of a prospect so that tells you how much of one Daigle is...
  12. guys he obviously meant the number 5 starters from last 2 years
  13. QUOTE(bschmaranz @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) Not quite understanding this one. You're talking about getting rid of a pitcher who is 7-1. Get your head on straight. you dont judge pitchers on records... look at clemens he is probably the best starting pitcher so far but if we judged him by record he would be worse than El Duque.
  14. there is no pitcher i hate watching more than El Duque, how he is 7-1 idonno because he is a crappy pitcher whenevr i watch him.
  15. I love watching the Bears more than the sox just because football is a more fan friendly sport to watch,.... I love sundays during the football season...
  16. After a lot of trading I think I finally created a team I could live with for the whole season possibly. C: Victor Martinez 1B: Derek Lee 2B: Jorge Cantu SS: Khalil Greene 3B: Mark Teixiera LF: Carlos Lee CF: Carl Crawford RF: Austin Kearns SP: Johan Santana SP: Jake Peavy SP: Oliver Perez SP: Ben Sheets SP: Rich Harden its amazing how you can get value for guys like Jose Reyes even though there are higher SS's rated then him...
  17. I think people would recognize Frank Thomas? Its not like the Marlins are a big draw attendence wise and they did fine in their WS... same with the angels when they won their WS.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) Tillman is another Bear thats supposed to be a pretty big Sox fan. Tillman is also a greenbay fan, I saw a picture of Brett Favre on his fridge in cribs
  19. I always liked Mark Grace as a player... he was so good with the bat...
  20. I want to know how we rank in terms of our strength of schedule was looking for it at ESPN.com and couldnt find it can anyone gimme a link?
  21. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) with that though, you have to look at the state of the NFL. The raiders are in the superbowl one year, last place the next. One year, the panthers come out of nowhere. It's extremely hard to win 2 in a row in the state of the current NFL. The pats are a dynasty. I guess they can be considered a modern day NFL dynasty but I still dont consider them a true dynasty as of yet...
  22. well It was more than Frank and Maggz going down.... Garcia got injured for a little, Contreras was kind of s***ty outside of that 1 start vs Indians... Basicly our only consistent starter for all of last year was Buehrle.... Also didnt Shingo start struggling a little bit and we lost Politte when he started heating up.....
  23. how old is he and how much of a prospect is he? I say this because he seems to be hitting really really well out there.
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) Jenks wont be up, he isnt ready especially mentally. How do we all know that, I bet if he wasnt ready mentally the Barons manager would tell KW not to do it no matter what? So if he is indeed called up Im sure he will be ready mentally.
