whose the most hated sox pitcher?
GoodAsGould replied to robin_ventura_eternal's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(robin_ventura_eternal @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) you cant hate loaiza that much though. he gave the sox a cy young calibur year and once he left, he was never that good. he sucked for the yanks, pitches for the nationals right now, hes doing so-so if memory serves me correctly. I dont hate people on how they play I hate people on how they act, and basicly he said we were crap and he is happy out of the s***hole of chicago.... I know Navarro seemed like an ass and David Wells but I didnt watch the sox every game back than like I do now... i was only a casual fan -
Its funny not one 1 person on this whole page has over 500 posts.... Oh no the newbies are taking over the board While the wild-card could become a possibility when your leading the division its not something you worry about right now.... also if we lose the division lead we are also obviously going to lose some of the lead to the wildcard which makes it even a bit more pointless.

whose the most hated sox pitcher?

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Yep, that guy made watching every 5th Sox game painful. Well thats because he needed TJS cant really blame him for that..... Im going with Esteban Loaiza though, he played like s*** in 2004 and than when traded to the yankees said he would finally get some run support... and at the time of the trade he was getting more run support than any other pitcher in the majors. -
I wouldnt of mind if we did pick him up, he was a good pitcher last year and since it has looked like B-Mac isnt ready he could of been like a true 6th starter. But since he is gone oh well.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) who cares what lead we will have, nobody wants to see crap like this posted or a thread made about it, yeah seriously, another dumb thread ..... Les worry about our wildcard lead when we arent in 1st.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Is neal cotts, a white sox pitching prospect, finally coming into his own? this is like a once every 5 year thing people. well if you take into account Buehrle, Garland, Kip Wells, Josh Fogg, Frankie Francisco, Cotts.... not that bad of a list... prob more but those are what come to mind.

QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 04:41 AM) It would be a dream come true for a Yankeeless playoffs and see everyone at ESPN s*** themselves.(of course with our Sox in the playoffs) Im still hoping for the Orioles, White Sox, Twins, Rangers, Padres, Cardinals, Marlins, Arizona playoffs.... no one team espn will really go crazy over... maybe cardinals a little but thats about it.... What would make it all the sweeter is if by some act of god the brew crew won the NL Central

its funny because he starts off with its 2 early to critique drafts but than goes ahead and does it.

Maybe we should have like a 100-200 post limit before you start making your own threads... I know when i first joined I really didnt make any threads until I was at that many and it would keep people from trolling. Reason is after 100-200 posts you begin to know most posters and probably wont make dumb threads...well most of the time.

well bonds even if passes Ruth wont ever be as good as him. For one Ruth as well as possibly the best hitter to ever play the game was also a very damn good pitcher as well... So les see Bonds pitch a few games and see how he does. Also Ruth had to be the most out of shape athlete in the world, I bet if he worked out as much as the other athletes during that time or as much as athletes do today he would of been that much greater.

Lol i actually bought a white sox mini bat and hat when I was at a cubs game... there was a stand outside selling them... I didnt have any problems at the park either.
-
Ozzie was mad last year too I believe at a player hiding an injury, I think it was Jose Valentin trying to come back too early, I personally didnt mind since it meant that willie and uribe were starting... they had such good chemestry it seemed last year for awhile.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) http://www.heraldtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll.../506090423/1006 Thats kind of cool, i bet that kid is going to play his ass off this season so he gets signed.

I think baseball should do what basketball does with the draft... allow players to get only a certain amount of money when drafted. That way any team can afford any player.

has Sweeney hit a HR this season yet?
-
thanks a lot for all you do BHAM, having a guy so close to the franchise is awesome not 2 mention the little recap of the game you do everyday. Does Corwin look like he might even add more velocity to that fastball of his, and do you think he has a legitimate chance to become a future starter in the bigs?

Sox @ Padres 6/10/05 Game Thread
GoodAsGould replied to Controlled Chaos's topic in 2005 Season in Review
im not 2 scared at facing new pitchers, unlike past years we have hit new pitchers fine... we also knocked around gustavo chacin around pretty well 2 when he was in a groove. -
really our worse starter has been El Duque so far this season, but like it has been said b4 he has to start in the playoffs. After him id debate whether it is Garcia or Contreras.... I really think Contreras is the guy who ends up in the pen because he would be so dominating as a RP and Ozzie wont make Garcia a RP..... I see it as follows If we have home advantage. Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, El Duque, Buehrle If dont. Buehrle, Garcia, Garland, El Duque, Buehrle have to make sure Garcia starts on the road unless we playing in texas...

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) and IF the Queen had balls she'd be the King... not neccessarily

I think newbies are mostly accepted by everyone on soxtalk, I came here middle of last season I think and fitted in perfectly. It really is the newest crop of newbies that have just been causing a lot of problems. Im not saying all of them are but a majority of them seem to be. I think the problem is with us being so good this year instead of being mostly die hard sox fans joining the message boards its bandwagon fans who are annoying when discussing baseball.

thanks for all the info...even if your a cubs fan
