  1. according to yahoo it was a sell out crowd at 38, 685 which leads me to believe there are only 38,685 seats.. unless someone says differently.
  2. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 30, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) Willie has the best avatar on this entire site, no question. BTW, you don't like Frank, that's fine. But the only people I know who refer to Frank as "Big Skirt" are Cubs fans, and that's mostly out of jealousy. As for me, I could never talk s*** about a guy with a Top 10 OPS in the history of the major leagues, let alone a guy who is on the team that I've been rooting for since before I can remember. well he really doesnt just have bobby jenks in his sig its just showing our top pitching prospects... what represents him more is his avatar which is Gio Gonzalez..
  3. how many seats are there in our park? Because i cant imagine not being much more than that.
  4. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ May 30, 2005 -> 11:13 PM) Hawk and DJ talked about him having hurt his hip. Hawk said he might be going back to Charlotte. they were joking, its only a small injury he might sit out tommorow but nothing big.
  5. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 30, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) lol I know he was already a legend by this time but what do they call the 1998 Game Six Finals, the Push-Off?? Haha joking guys, a lot of you know I'm a Jazz fan but even I agree that it was ok. Anyways I don't know what I'd choose betwen the switch and the shot. I'm probably leaning toward the shot because it still amazes me how high he could jump. actually I really was a push off and im a bulls fan but that doesnt get called on super-stars and it would of been the same non call if Kobe, Lebron, Wade or someone of that calibur today does it.
  6. QUOTE(JimH @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) I didn't see anything about this signing ... where was this posted originally? It was posted on the ESPN minor league forums Im not sure how old it is... but just wondering if anyone knew who he was or if the poster was bsing.
  7. Now Timo is going to be clutch for the rest of the season.
  8. what the fuk was Ozzie thinking putting Everett who hasnt been able to hit lefty all year...... i swear he has lost his mind this game.
  9. Im done with this s***, these guys are playing 2 bad for me im taking a week off from watching this s*** because its going to gimme anger problems.
  10. ive nver heard of this kid b4 any of you?
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 30, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) That's exactly what it tells me. He's obviously got exceptional tools and has a chance to be a star, that being said he has a lot to work on and can be a complete bust, only time will tell. I think he has really high potential remember like someone said earlier he skipped High A ball.... and with the exception of going to the majors I think High A to AA is the biggest step in a athletes career.
  12. Although Its better than what I could do I dont really like how its kind of blurry...
  13. QUOTE(BamaDoc @ May 30, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) You have got to love the numbers on the prospects. Pitchers are consitant 93-95 and touching 97. Then they get drafted and are 90. This is just like football where everyone is a 4.3 40 time and 4.6 when actually measured by the pros. Don't get me wrong, I hope we get a stud but it is such a crap shoot. The recent articles on previous drafts really show how much injury luck factors into the results. Rauch was a can't miss and now may be done as an example. Hasnt Rauch done pretty well with the Nationals, anyways thats different he was a top prospect until his injury, injuries like that can mess up any pitcher whether it be a major league or minor leaguer.
  14. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ May 30, 2005 -> 12:40 AM) Whatever he has to do to get to the point where he feels comfortable throwing the change at any time, he needs to do, because when I saw him dominating in the spring, he was using that changeup consistently and effectively. Does anyone know if there's some mental or physical reason he wasn't throwing it? Has he developed blisters from throwing it or was he just uncomfortable throwing it due to nerves or did the pitching coaches tell him don't throw it or what? It just seems odd to me that a pitcher wouldn't throw a pitch that he's had success with. He threw it a little, he threw one to Tex and he almost hit that for a HR after his 1st HR....
  15. QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ May 29, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) The kind that wind up in Coral Gables, Gainesville, Norman, & Los Angeles. Was Favre a 5 star guy? or Elway... Marino, those type of guys? Can you give me some example of 4-5 star guys in the NFL currently.
  16. If these dudes are 4 star athletes... what kind of guys are considered 5 star athletes....
  17. I dont know why Cotts get so much hate, his era is in the 3's and he is apposed to be our mop-up guy in a way... So I think he is doing a hell of a job. Shingo and Viz on the other hand :puke ..... at least shingo gave me some memories of last year Viz gets the extra :puke
  18. So they are headed in the right direction than? Thats cool, i just started watching Illini basketball last year b4 I even knew they were good(i guess i chose the right year to begin watching) and was planning to watch Illini football but from what i did see of them last year is that they sucked.
  19. I personally have given up on Crede... i was ready to give him a fresh start and everything going into the season and with that early hitting streak it looked like a good bet, now he has gone into a bad bad slump even for him... and i doubt he climbs too much far out of it. But than again stranger things have happened and in the end its KW's decision not ours, i just hope he makes the right one
  20. I just hope this offense can turn things around, im getting to the point in only watching the games when we our pitching and turn if off when we are hitting.
  21. Idonno I think we just faced a really tough texas lineup when they are hot right now, our pitching should be a lot better vs the angels this series and returning to home...
  22. are there any other really good prospects they have recruited?
  23. Well there has been some bright spots but yeah mostly its bad. Everett, Uribe, Crede, Dye are for the most part easy outs. Konerko and Rowand seem to have got their s*** together as of late but for a lot of this young season have been easy outs. It seems with exception of Pods, Iguchi, and AJ no one has been good... even AJ hasnt done that well. To put it all together yes this offense is bad.
  24. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 29, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Fields makes an OUTSTANDING CATCH on a line drive that would have been a laed off double His defense must have improved greatly since being 1st drafted?
  25. not only would it take Crede and B-Mac... it would probably take another prospect too, we are talking about a gold glove all star 3B here people.....
