idonno about you guys but this is a message board if you are going to let people hurt your feelings on a message board you have problems.... as far as it goes i think its way out of line calling another poster a whore though, especially if your an admin and are apposed to set an example... and even though i dont know much about steff i think she is prob one of the most knowledgable sox fans on this board if not the most.

well i dont have them with me but lowell always has a strong first half and usually sucks during the stretch so thats kind of concern 2... also i thought ozzie wanted small ball..... what would really be cool is if we signed placido polanco and vizquel and then have crede and uribe battle it out at 3B
-
didnt the royals decline juan gonzalez's option... idonno he could be a good pickup if we dont get a CF as long as we dont pay much for him... he is the kind of guy that can hit on a winning team but will do s*** on a losing team... he also is a injury risk but he has a lot of talent

White Sox farm system rated among baseball's best
GoodAsGould replied to Whitewashed in '05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
im just glad our scouts seem to be among the best in baseball if we keep getting these good prospects to be able to trade... and still have a respectful farm system -
i just dont see why everyone is ripping on larkin but they all love vizquel....
-
i didnt think Jose Guillen was that bad for the angels in the clubhouse really.... 2 incidents i can think of him getting mad at teamates because he got like hit twice in a game vs toronto and he wanted some redemption which i dont mind and the 2nd was when he got taken out for a pinch runner which i dont really see the point in since he has decent speed already... yeah he over reacted big time the 2nd time but i like the emotion he brings to the game its more of a positive emotion then a guy like milton bradley brings
-
i think shaq/wade is going to be a much better combo then the shaq/kobe..... yes kobe is a better player but him and shaq did not play together all to well because they both want to be the go to guy on the team... wade has already stated he rather pass then shoot anytime... if kobe wasnt so greedy in the playoffs and actually fed shaq the ball some they could of won it all... but who knows
-
im still in my senior year of high school but i plan to go to a community college.... harper in particular if most of you guys live in the suburbs you will know it
-
a lot of people are on the vizquel train it seems but idonno yeah he had a nice year but how has his past 4 years looked like? He kind of reminds me of robbie alomar a little but maybe not that bad... i dont mind having him at ss but only if we get a big FA pickup to go along with him this off season
-
he will be a free agent but a lot of people think he will resign.... I on the other hand think the astro's were really going for it all this season and next season are going to completely rebuild and that they wont resign berkman
-
i really think the bulls are going to surprise a lot of you this year and i mean that in the 28-32 win range
-
yeah most pitchers have good stats when they win.. except colon... but anyways most of them arent that good... but that stat i guess is for more the people that dont think garland is a good 4th or 5th starter.... any guy that can get 12 wins and not because of run support is a great 4 or number 5 to me
-
ill make this simple In his 12 wins this year, he has a 2.96 ERA, giving up an averge of 6.6 hits a game. thats why the jury is still out on garland.
-
alright back to the bullpen discussion the way i look at it... during the season a good bullpen is more important... but in the playoffs i rather have 2-3 good reliable starters then a dominant bullpen
-
i think if diaz comes out of the pen next year he could put up an era in the 3's but i guess thats not something you should really rely on... personally id be really happy if we could get a guy like jorge julio he is young and i think he would be a great closer especially with shingo setting him up
-
yeah i think with more starts quinn can be effective and he knows the offense as well as anyone so ill consider today a day of getting rid of all the rust and judge him more on his start vs washington
-
if we get 75 RBI's from crede and anything from 20-25 HR's i feel like he has done his job and ill be satisfied with him
-
i like joe borchard but idonno if i want to see him as a starter next year....and i much rather have carlos lee over konerko... lee is a better hitter he has more speed and he isnt a GIDP so even if he stares at his HR's ill take him over konerko, and all you borchard haters should hope konerko gets traded over Clee too because if carlos lee is traded borchard for sure will be starting.

well since D-Mac is a star who was born and raised in Chicago you got to expect eagle's fans even though they are the opponent its always nice to see a guy from Chicago be so good

Who will have the higher winning %
GoodAsGould replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
the bulls are defenitely not going to be good this year unless all of them have career years or some fluke but they will be better then last year which is a start -
well all you asked for 1 and we gave you 2 arizona and the marlins and both were recent... and then calling me dumb because i answered your question, maybe you need to root for the other chicago team

Who will have the higher winning %
GoodAsGould replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
i think if they stay healthy the bulls might be able to surprise some people this year... especially if curry and chandler are in shape which they should be since both have worked out this off-season -
after the bye week i know urlacher will be back for sure but will azumah be back 2? id love to see him in there and vasher as our number 2 and keep RW off any good WR although he has faced Moss and TO back to back so i cant blame him 2 much
-
heh i hate when baseball season is over too but im hoping this year the bulls will at least be fun to watch... especially if chandler stays healthy
-
strangely enough the thing that sticks in my mind was a baltimore game when valentin was injured for that short while and uribe was at ss and willie at 2nd and the game ended on a web gem by uribe
