  1. Ya know, I never wanna see the Sox have the bases loaded with nobody out EVER again....They find almost every way not to score a run (Not counting the opposition making an error like last night)....C'mon Ozzie! do a f***ing squeeze, something!
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) DJ keeps saying the Buerhle is slowing down his motion on Changeups. hey coop you seeing this. I really wonder if the White Sox scouting is that terrible or if the entire coaching staff doesn't pay attention to scouting reports...We all know Mike Sweeney is a good hitter but Emil Brown and Angel Berroa aren't world beaters right now....
  3. Would it kill the Sox pitchers to get a 1-2-3 inning after the offense scores one?!?
  4. Was AJ out by a mile? If so, Ozzie will just say he can't fire him cuz he owes it to Cora cuz he's been there all yr long
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) Woo-hoo, I leave the Room, and Dye starts trying to make up for his fielding last night. It ALMOST makes up for his piss poor fielding last night
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) .238 coming into today. That's a GREAT sign for a potential playoff run from our "MVP" :banghead Thanx!
  7. Does anyone know what PK's hitting with runners in scoring position this yr?
  8. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 02:59 AM) He's been hot with the bat since coming back from the DL. In 13 games (not including tonight), he has a .359 average with a .434 OBP, 10 runs scored, 5 doubles, and 1 triple. He's raised his yearly batting average from .278 to .291 (entering tonight), his slugging% from .332 to .356, and his on base percentage from .345 to .355. He's been hitting well but WTF was he doing on Berroa's "triple"?
  9. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 03:25 AM) WHY is it that our starting pitching staff all of the sudden has been so DAMN TERRIBLE lately? Every single one of them! What is going on with them? They better wise up, wake up and start pitching like there's no tomorrow; otherwise, we will never see OUR postseason this year! GOT 9 RUNS AND STILL LOST TO THE LOWLY ROYALS! Contreras has been good....And damned if they didn't try blowing last night's on him....
  10. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) Freddie sucked, Hermy sucked, so many guys sucked. We had a chance to get two more runs when Pods made the out. We are playing bad baseball and if we don't win the division we deserve what we get. Total national mockery and criticism. I blame the players. Not Oz. Freddie was horses*** against a pathetic team. This doesn't bode well cause now Jon and Mark will probably suck in their next starts also. Those 3 are the keys to our seasodn. You're right about Freddie....He gets so complacent against bad teams and nibbles them to death but against good teams, he comes right at them.... And yes, if they blow this division and don't even make the wild card, we deserve the crap that comes along with it....
  11. All yr long, I've had faith in this team, I've stood up for them against the naysayers and bandwagoners, thinking they were just going through a slump....But losing a game like this to a team that's on pace for 100 losses, I can't do it anymore....Jermaine Dye has proven to be a decent hitter but my God, when it comes to fielding ground balls in the OF, I don't think I've seen anyone bobble as many as he has this season....I would rather see Time F'ing Perez in the 9th innings of games than Dye's stone hands out there....
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 06:41 AM) Geting hot?? He's hitting .487/.535/1.103 in September. 13 extra base hits in just 11 games. He's up to .264/.308/.429 Meanwhile Carl Everett, the guy who's on the team specifically for his bat is hitting .252/.307/.446. Bat Uribe third Ozzie. How about Uribe in the 2 hole and Iguchi to the 3 spot?!? Little speed and moxie in those two spots then and Paulie would have some runners to drive home then....I can't stand it when Pods gets on and nobody shoots him in like last night :banghead
  13. They deserved to lose tonight, especially with Freddy giving up a 2 out, 2 run HR to a hack like Berroa....Gotta throw him a better pitch than he did....Even with the Indians on a roll, they're still 8 1/2 games back so no worries....
  14. The players have every right to comment on the small crowds, just as we have the right to comment on how poor they've played in front of full crowds at Comiskey I have the 27 game package on the weekends since I work during the week so it's why I'm not out there watching them play KC....Will be there Sat and Sun though
  15. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) Chaos- I'm with you on this one.. Nice original post and there are many negative people in this sad, sad world and we just have to learn to deal with them.. :headshake I agree about the negativity....I'll give an example: If the White Sox win the World Series in 7 games (Please Lord, make that true!), some fans would b**** they would have won it in 4 if not for Ozzie's bad managing or something along those lines....After hearing the gripes and moans from fellow Sox fans over the last 10 yrs about JR being cheap, blue seats make the park look bad, JR being cheap, the upper deck is too high, JR being cheap, I can't believe I only got upper deck playoff tix for my Ozzie plan, I firmly believe some Sox fans will NEVER be happy
  16. Only positive thing I could say is the Rangers have done this to other teams as well at their place and that's with the Sox giving them the first two games on silver platters....This homestand starting tomorrow is crucial and the Sox must revert back to the blueprint of Apr, May, June and July and the start of the roadtrip....Sept starts tomorrow so enuff of the resting the starters s*** till the division is clinched....
  17. Farmer just made a good pt....If you can't get their 7-8-9 hitters out, you're in deep trouble and that's what Jon and Blum couldn't do
  18. IN....The Indians and Twins' streaks will soon end and the Sox will start one up beginning tomorrow night, I hope
  19. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) Is this the beginning of the end or will they turn it around? Even with this game, I have the feeling they're gonna kill the Twins tomorrow night....Damn shame for Freddy but you hang a curveball to the biggest hack in their lineup and you deserve to go down....
  21. For the Bartman play to even be close to Jordan's winning jumper is 100% proof Cub fans are retarded
  22. Can someone explain to me how Buehrle gives up two HRs to the doughboy of baseball?!? And can anyone tell the offense to look for Santana's fastball ONLY? Christ, do they not read scouting reports?!?
  23. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Timo should wear the "C" Ozzie, we didn't ask for your opinion
  24. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) Am I the only guy who doesn't really care about the Twins or Indians any more for this season? You should care....They're a divisional rival and the Sox play them 13 more times in two months....If the Sox want home field in the ALCS and they should, given the way Boston hits at Fenway, they need to keep winning series like these....Plus, it's the goddamn Twins....A team that no matter how hard the Sox tried, couldn't beat over the last 3 yrs....Now the Sox have them under their boot and it's time to stomp on their grave
  25. I think the real question is should Ozzie start Garland in Gm 2 and Freddy in Gm 3 on the road as Freddy is lights out on the road and Jon is good at home....And I'm not afraid of the A's or any other team for that matter....The only thing that scares me is the Sox playing flat or tight in the playoffs....That's the only thing we should all fear, not the Oakland A's....If the Sox play fearlessly and execute on offense like they have all yr long, it won't matter who the opponent is....
