    Mike Tyson

I dont know about you guys, but abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz123456 just stretched my whole off-topic board page, so lemme just add this post.
  2. Everyone that voted their hearts out needs to be proud of themselves and give yourself a big pat on the back. The BoSox fans outnumber us by a great deal but you showed what being a fan is all about. Theres a highly chance that Frank will be there in place of Sweeney so we win either way
  3. It wont count in the standings? But I thought This Time It Counts???
  4. And my birthday is one day before ARod's. Now if only I were earning 1/4 his salary...
  5. I think the Sox should call up their minor leaguers more often. We hardly get a chance to see those guys. Give them a chance or two and see how they do up in the big leagues. Some guys are just not ready (see: Borchard), but with guys like Cotts, whos tearing up AA, it cant really hurt, can it?
  6. Geez what is up with these players and managers. Is it so much effort to pitch an inning or two just for the fans? And Bonds and ARod not showing up for the HR Derby. I thought This Time It Counts?
  7. Garland has been looking more and more like what I expected him to be. This guy is still very young, and if he keeps heading in the right direction, he'll be good for years to come.
  8. And we could go unbeaten for the rest of the season if only they felt like it.
  9. I totally agree with that. I'm so sick and tired of all these "superstars" who make the team just because they're "superstars". I know the AS Game is for the fans, but they've got to give it to the most deserving players. I'd much rather see some exciting new guys with good first-halfs than a Giambino hitting .230
  10. Update from MLB: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...r2003&fext=.jsp
  11. Have a good one Heres a little present for ya:
  12. 1st and 2nd 1 out, Pena working Garland with an 9-pitch at-bat and counting.
  13. They cant praise their own team so why not praise everyone else's.
  14. Bottom 2nd Ross lines out Pena goes down looking Hinch flies out Lets score some runs
  15. Doesnt that guy have a 2-2 record this season? How is it his first major league start then?
  16. Its just not the same thing with a dome. Its like a big plastic bag over your head. They should just stick with what they have.
  17. Lemme add one more Happy Birthday
  18. Will Willis get the win...? I dont think so. He'll have to suffer a no-decision.
  19. No way would I do that Edmonds for MB trade. Pitching wins in the playoffs. Having Buehrle, Colon, Loaiza as our pitchers will be huge. Our outfield is clogged up with Lee, Rowand, Maggs, Daubach, Everett, and Willie, who can all play. No way do I want to trade our lefty ace for an injury-prone guy in Edmonds (even though I love the way that guy plays).
  20. Now its in the 7th and the Marlins have a 2-0 lead. Willis went 5.2 innings, 0 runs, 7 K's. This kid is exactly what MLB needs, a young exciting guy who can flat out bring it. :fyou Dusty
  21. Keep the votes coming. Whats good to know is that there are tons of non-Sox fans voting for Frank also.
  22. I gotta admit that it will be very exciting to see all these first-timer All Stars. I heard somewhere that there were 26 first-timers. I'm one of the few that actually doesnt mind the at least one player per team thing. One thing that I think they should do is ditch the mandated pitching and hitting roster numbers and let the manager decide how many pitchers and hitters will be on the roster. And the obvious BS selections: Mike Williams (Giles), Benitez (Burnitz), Dusty taking Wood over Willis, Carter (Rocco or Huff). I'm sure theres some more but its too late to think right now.
