  1. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) We better pitch around Blanco at Wrigley. lol, isn't that the truth? Though Barrett should be back from suspension just in time to face our Sox.
  2. This question shouldn't even be asked. Personally, I would prefer for the Cubs to win the next two games cause they're facing the one team that is ahead of us in the Central and because I'll be at Wrigley for tomorrow's game.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) Ain't broke, don't fix it. Took the words right out of my mouth. Don't fix it if it's not broken.
  4. Happy Birthday Cali, Mathew, and JenksForPrez45!!! Hope you three have a good one . . .
  5. I would have loved to see Thomas hit #500 if he were still in a White Sox uniform. Like many, it's still surprising to see him wearing green and yellow, it's like some sort of nightmare. But that's just me.
  6. Congrats. on a beautiful healthy baby!
  7. Happy Birthday Knightni and FourofaKind!!! Here's hoping both of you have a good one on this day of 6-6-06!
  8. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) For the love of God, it isn't 6-6-6. It's 6-6-06. BIG differance. Heck, it's technically 06-06-2006. I hate all the people going "it's goign to be the end of the world. The anti-christ is coming" I haven't heard anyone say that till I turned the TV on, which was about 10 minutes ago.
  9. Losing the best player in baseball for some time is going to be something for the Cards. Rolen has been hitting well; too bad the same can’t be said of his defense.
  10. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) When Frank has the opportunity, he should thank Garland for serving up some juicy fastballs and turning his season around. Nothing like facing Jon to turn around the ol' confidence. IMO, that is the reason why he has been hitting the cover off the ball lately. Nothing better than coming back to your old home and facing old teammates. The crowd gave him a good applause and he replied with 2 HR’s.
  11. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) I disagree with the story line on this game. "Promising start by Jon Garland." He gave up three homeruns in that game and still won. You can't keep giving up the long ball like Jon does and win regularly. I hope for the best and think Jon can come around, but I don't see the consistency yet. For a sinker baller, he has given up too many homeruns. What I want to see from Jon this evening: Don’t give me that “He looked like the Garland of ‘05 for a few innings” bulls***. I want to see him look like the Garland of ‘05 for the whole game, not just for a couple of outs. Start making it look like you earn that money you’re receiving.
  12. It’s never easy to let go of someone even if you know that their time has almost come to an end. Condolences to Kalapse and the family.
  13. What was so awesome was seeing Jim Thome hitting two 2 run shots at the Jake. “Take that boo birds!”
  14. Every time I change the channel to ESPN to look at the scores on the bottom of the screen, I see Pujols’s name and showing that he hit a HR. Why doesn’t this surprise me anymore?
  15. Another extra inning affair with the Astros and Pirates. This time the ‘Stros win it in the 10th. BTW, Jason Bay is probably the second hottest hitter in the Majors right behind Pujols.
  16. You would think that 12 runs is good enough to win a ballgame . . . guess not.

    Sox Big Three

QUOTE(3E8 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) Pujols himself is beating the Royals, and could pass the Cubs any day now. HA! Isn't that something . . .
  19. ^ ^ ^ Both guys were born on the same year, so happy birthday to both of 'em!
  20. Happy Birthday Jim!!! Here's hoping you have a good one . . .
  21. Go Tribe! (Thought I'd never say that)

    Cubs

The Cubs seem to find all kind of ways to lose. They get booed by the fans after Barret pops up to end the game. What else is new on the Northside?
  23. This could be the sign of something for the Tigers. A bad sign. I don't like to see guys go down even if their team is in our division, but this just goes to show which players will be able to stay healthy down the stretch. Baseball season is long and tiring and some guys wear down early.
  24. I have tickets to see this flick for this evening. I'm very excited to see how the story continues to develop in this second sequel. Can't wait.
  25. Happy Birthday Juddling, Milkman and Kyyle!!! Hope you 3 have a good one . . .
