  1. Vazquez pitching real good. Offense needs to give him some run support if they want Javy to get his first W.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) Elarton threw 27 pitches in the first inning. And 9 of them were strikes. And yet we only got 1 run.
  3. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) miggy will always have a special place in my heart. hope girardi gets him turned around... Same here. It was a sad and happy day when Olivo left. Happy because Kenny had acquired a quality pitcher in Freddy Garcia, sad because Olivo was doing well with us. But if you also think about it, if Miguel would have sticked around, AJ probably wouldn’t be here. But that’s another story.
  4. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 11:48 AM) I'll take a Dunkin Donut over a Krispy Kreme any day of the week. Krispy Kremes are too sweet and too greasy for me. I couldn’t choose one over the other. To me, both are just as good.
  5. Nice sig. I would have taken it, but I’ve had this one for a while and I honestly don’t want to leave it.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 10:32 AM) Be real dumb of the A's to trade him imo. This is his last year with Oakland so it’s better for Beane to try and get some young talent in return for someone who is off to a slow start and won’t be around for the upcoming season (‘07).
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) I buy Monster Energy drinks in bulk at Costco. It's about $1.25 per can when I buy a case there, so it's worth it. They've gotten me through countless late nights and early mornings. And they taste great too. I’ll definitely try that. I’ve only started drinking these drinks a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine bought me one and I got hooked. It gets me going when I’m at work.
  8. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) (anybody ever notice that if you say it fast enough it sounds like "Hear us now goddamn father"? My sister-in-law told me the title over the cell phone and I sat there stunned for a few seconds about that being the name for a song at her wedding.) Geez . . . now I have to wipe all this Pepsi off my computer screen.
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 08:34 PM) You got a deal at $1.09 or the cashier rung it up wrong. They usually go for $3 or so. There is a gas station in Gurnee that sells em for $2. I could swear I gave the cashier a dollar bill and a quarter and she gave me change in return. But this gas station by my house didn’t have the price on the drink so I didn’t find out how much it was worth till the cashier displayed the price.
  10. Oct. 18 of last year was the last time I got my haircut. It’s been the longest I’ve let my hair grow. Only reason why I haven’t been in a Barbershop for so long is because of Crede, Cotts, Garcia, etc. Guess I’m gonna have to call Bill (my barber) for the first time in a long time. He must be wondering if I ditched him for some other barber.
  11. AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
  12. Let's get Big Bad Bobby Jenks in here for a quick 1-2-3.
  13. Yesterday at work I go to Strack & Van Til (sp?) and buy one of those Monster Energy drinks for a $1.09 right before lunch. Today I stayed home and went to the gas station to buy another of those energy drinks (I’m so addicted to those right now) and they are worth nearly $3.00! What’s up with that!? They’re the same size as the one I bought yesterday yet they were two dollars more! Sadly I bought the $3 dollar drink. I just couldn’t go back and put the drink back from the fridge I got it from.

    Films

Last night I watched Cheech & Chong’s: Up In Smoke and Next Movie for the first time on DVD and man was I laughing like I had never laughed before! I don’t know why I didn’t pick up these films before so that I could watch them. Definitely got some good laughs out of me.
  15. I’m giving credit to where credit is due and Maddux deserves just that. He’s looked very good so far and as of now he is definitely in line for another 15+ win season, which is something he didn’t accomplish last season. I’ve never had a problem with Greg. I enjoyed watching him pitch for the Braves in the 90’s and seeing the highlights of last night's ballgame thrills me. Only 86 pitches thrown in 8 innings.
  16. Lee saves the game for the Brew Crew by taking away a HR from Juan Encarnacion in the 10th inning and then leads off the 11th with a HR of his own against Isringhausen. Heck of a day for El Caballo!
  17. I'll go downstairs to the basement, put some music on, and start working out for a good hour and a half. But lately I haven't been pissed at anyone or anything. Life's been good to me this year.
  18. Happy Birthday ZoomSlowik!!! Here's hoping you have a good one. . .

Congrats. to Soxtalk! This is truly the best place where White Sox fans can come to sit back and socialize with their fellow friends. It was awesome to see this place jumping up and down this past October and hopefully we can light some more fireworks this fall.
  20. The Brewers are off to a hot start. They beat the D'Backs to improve to 5-0. Carlos Lee hit a single off Luis Vizcaino to win it in the bottom of the ninth. Lee has hit in every game so far this season.
  21. Haffner's a beast. He's put the Tribe on top 1-0 by hitting his fourth HR in just 7 AB's.
  22. I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like it was just yesterday when the Sox had their World Series Championship parade in downtown Chicago. Winter has gone by so fast that in a couple of days the Sox will be defending their title. Amazing. Buehrle will keep us in the game, the defense and offense will be there and the White Sox crowd will see their favorite team beginning their journey to a dynasty. The wait is short. Opening Day is right around the corner!
