QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) If Aramis can get white hot like he did for a time last year, the Cubs should immediately unload his ass to the first team that hits them up asking about Ramirez. His defense has improved a bit since he's been with the Cubs and when he's on he's one of the most prolific offensive threats at 3B in bigs. They should be able to get a nice package for him even with his current contract situation. I’m not doubting the fact that Aramis will start showing some improvement at the plate. June hasn’t even begun, meaning that there’s still 4 months of baseball to play. If he can get hot, than he can definitely carry a team for some while.

You can't ask for help from KC because they'll just find a way to let the opposition come right back. :headshake

Buehrle has been awesome at The Cell the last couple of seasons and I expect him to show us the same effort that he put on last Friday's game. Anyone know how the weather is going to look by the start of the game?

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 24, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) I put in the winner thread, and I said he needs to sit tomorrow. We won the series, put Gload or Mack at DH, give Jimbo the day off. No need to screw around with him. I agree, but Jimbo? I'll take Sock It To It Thome over Jimbo any day of the week.

You are a Lamborghini Murcielago! You're not subtle, but you don't want to be. Fast, loud, and dramatic, you want people to notice you, and then get out of the way. In a world full of sheep, you're a raging bull.

What is up with the climate around here? It rains and then it stops. It rains again and then it stops. Rains AGAIN, but with the sun out!

Thanks guys. I spent most of yesterday hanging out with my friends and girlfriend. We went to the park to play a couple of rounds of baseball. After that we went to Olive Gardens and then we got back home just in time to see the beginning of the 6th inning. I had such a big smile to see the White Sox ahead of the A’s. Had a good birthday overall. Hope you had a good one too, BHAMBARONS.

It’s funny how everything the Cubs let go turns to something of value for other ball clubs. Well, everyone except Sammy. There was no helping him . . .
-
He’s doing very well since returning from the DL. He’s not going deep into counts and is pitching deep into games. He just plain out dominated the Twins this afternoon.
-
The only occasion I would go ahead and pitch to Pujols is if he’s leading off in an inning. Or if you’re team is ahead by a lot. Other than that, I wouldn’t want to see him put the bat on the ball.
-
The pitching isn’t good, the offense struggles to score runs, and the managing crew isn’t telling these guys to get their act together. I honestly don’t see anyone in that Cubs club that shows any heart or motivation whatsoever. What Barrett did at the Cell was mindless and showing absolutely no control of his emotions and frustrations that he has inside.

Baseball isn't meant for Wood. If he has a kid, he should think about playing some under-hand baseball in his backyard. That shouldn't be as bad as throwing across your body.

Jenks has been lights out his last couple of outings. What I've liked about Bobby is that he's walked very few this season, which shows us that he has control. Only thing that I question about Bobby is the speed on his fastball. When the Sox were on ESPN, the announcers said that he was throwing 99mph, but in Tampa I saw the gun top at 95-96. Not quite sure if he has been in the high 90's or in the mid's.

Happy Birthday Sleepy! You couldn't have received a better present from the Sox. Hope you enjoy the rest of your birthday!

Freddy Garcia had an awesome performance today. Tadahito had the game of his life and the brawl made this afternoon one of the best games to watch. I have it taped and I'm ready to watch it in a couple of minutes . . . LET'S SWEEEEP 'EM TOMORROW!

Happy Birthday Kid Gleason!!! Hope you have a good one!

Let's go Mark and the Sox offense!

QUOTE(Brian @ May 16, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Computer had been running slow the past few days so I did my first spyware scan in 3 months...168 critical objects found! Mercy! Much better now! I know, it's crazy. I try to run my Ad-Aware every Sunday, but at best I run it once a month and once it's done, it shows so much crap.

I'm surprised that Ozzie is starting Pods against Kaz. He usually doesn't go lefty against lefty. Ozuna would usually leadoff.

Goldy, you will always be the king when it comes to this kind of stuff.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 16, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Tuesday's Gone - Skynyrd Then there's a bunch of country songs with them, but most wouldn't know them. Nice call. The one that comes to mind instantly for Tuesday is The Stones Ruby Tuesday, but that one was called already.

Bought Black Sabbath's Greatest Hits CD this past Sunday and I've been hooked. War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man . . .

Twins finally take their head out of their ass

QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ May 16, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) Well, his bullpen stint was all about 'getting his feet wet' type of deal But I would of made the move last week all I know is that Lohse is a terrible pitcher and something is mechanically wrong with Silva Yeah, I'm also wondering what exactly is wrong with Silva. His velocity is there, it's just that everyone knows that he'll be throwing strikes so they know what to expect from him. He wasn't all that bad in previous seasons, but so far this year he is hurting more than he is helping.
