  1. Mark Buehrle will pitch some very good baseball. He'll keep us in the game. The offense will set some fireworks and explode and ESPN will show the country that we're capable of winning another World Series title. We're definitely going to win tonight . . .
  2. Happy Birthday Mr. Showtime!!! Hope you had a good one!
  3. There's no hope for the Cubs. They can try to acquire whoever they want and they still won't be able to put together a team that is capable of putting together some winning streaks like the White Sox have done. Pierre, supposedly, is supposed to start things off but has made no difference. If I'm not mistaking, Ronny Cedeno was batting in the 3 hole today!
  4. Man, these guys look horrible. I remember how the Sox went through a losing streak like this back in 04 and it sucked real bad. But the Cubs should be used to seeing lots of L's at the end of ballgames.
  5. Incredible. Seems like the Indians are always in the game when they're playing against us, but have no chance against KC.

    Righty? Lefty?

Righty. But when it comes to arm wrestling I am stronger with my left hand.
  7. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 7, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Son of a dirty b****. I was browsing and ESPN was running the Phillies against the Giants. First batter I see was Barry Bonds, and he jacks a monstrous homerun. All I wanted was to watch a little Aaron Rowand. Same here. Just when I turned the TV on I see Bonds hitting one out. :puke
  8. Tough luck for the Mets. They have three starters down (Maine, Zambrano and Bannister) and it seems like Zambrano's replacement will be Jose Lima. The Mets might want to ride the four-man rotation for a while since they have the next two Mondays off.

  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 5, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) NL is weak. Arroyo is mopping up in a weak division as well. And he's taking advantage of that and helping the Reds stack some wins together before they hit a wall. The Reds have the offense to be a threat, but they're pitching is barely average. Right now everything is clicking for them and they are looking very good. I have to say that it's fun watching them for now.

    Southsider 40K

    I can't see myself hitting 10k, but 40k! Congrats. and here's to another 40k!
  12. Does Pujols ever run/hit into a hitting slump? I don't think any of our starting pitchers are capable of being a match to Pujols once we face the Cards. Only guy I see succeeding against him is probably Contreras.
  13. Congrats. to El Caballo on setting the team record for most HR's in the month of April for the Brew Crew. To Carlos . . .
  14. Happy Birthday Capn12!!! Hope you had a good one.
  15. Grey I've had it for a long time and I'm starting to see that people are using the pink one. I might change to that skin . . .
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) So yesterday, the Brewers beat the Reds 11-0 behind a complete game by their starter. Today, the Reds win 11-0 at Milwaukee behind a complete game by their starter. Wonder when the last time that happened was, 2 teams play each other on back to back days, each team wins 1 of the games 11-0, both teams get 9 innings from the winning pitcher. After a nice 5-0 start for the Brewers, they have gone 3-9 since.
  17. Another quality performance from the 40-year-old Greg Maddux. He shuts down the Cardinal offense and improves to 4-0. First time in his career that he wins the first four starts of the season. Very impressive because you would think that such feat would have occurred before.
  18. Who would have thought that the Royals were going to take 2 out of 3 from the Indians? Thank you KC . . .
  19. The ‘Stros have been getting quality pitching from Oswalt and Rodriguez. Pettitte is off to a slow start, but if he can get it together than the rotation for these ‘Stros isn’t all that bad considering how the NL Central is. Plus if Clemens decides to come back, than they will definitely compete. The offense is off to a good start. Berkman and Ensberg are hitting and as long as Biggio and Taveras are getting on base, than the big bats will bring ‘em home.
  20. Happy Birthday Chisoxfn!!! Hope you have a good one, Jason.
  21. Nice to see us in 1st place all by ourselves. This weekend should be interesting though. We face some pretty good starters in Santana, Radke, and Silva while the Indians face the Royals.
  22. Wow, that sucks! You never want to wish bad health to a player, but not having to see Derek Lee in the cross-town series will be a plus for us.
  23. 4-0 as we get another break . . .
  24. Thome walks. Now it's time for Pauly to break this thing open . . .
  25. Scotty with a double. Nice to see him coming back to form. No outs . . .
