  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Why the f*** would you put him in a bases loaded situation in a tied game? Thats what Im saying. Not only does he blow, but thats not his role on this team. THats for Thornton/Putz/Jenks and occasionally Pena.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Why the f*** is Randy Williams on this team... he's an automatic f***up. Yeah I agree, its obvious hes the RH version of linebrink. MOP UP DUTY ONLY!!
  3. QUOTE (joeynach @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:13 PM) OMFG....ozzie just brought in randy the clown car williams to face their best hitter with the game on the line. I though we went through this williams and linebrink are not allowed in tight situations. I rest my case. 4 str8 balls. PATHETIC!!

  5. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) Watching the Twins game, that ballpark is going to eat our right-handed hitters alive. Ball flies out of right field with little to no effort. Kubel just hit a flyball out of the park over the RF wall, and the ball looked like it could've just kept going if it weren't for the 300 foot stadium seats We neeeeeeed AGon Well they built the ballpark to their team...wide open left and left center and a short porch to RF. Their power is mostly all left handed go figure.
  6. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 01:37 PM) The Toronto suckfest ends tonight! Count it! Anyone have the figures on what our record in Toronto is the past 5 seasons.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:33 AM) are those seats on the fence, or is there a gap between the fence and the seats? If there is a gap, there is no way he could of reached that ball As you move from the bullpen in left toward Center field along the wall there is a small growing gap between the seats and the wall. Id say from anywhere between 2 - 5ft.
  8. Pierre might have the weakest arm of any outfielder I have ever seen. That in itself is reason enough to get him out of LF, especially in some of the larger ballparks like Detroit, Seattle, KC, etc.
  9. The most worrying to me is Juan Pierre. He was spraying the ball all over the place in ST. So the guy who is supposed to be the igniter failing to even stay out of double plays is worry some. His outs have been brutal, weak grounders and such. He is a career .300 hitter and his career OBP is over .333. I know its still early but why hes not getting a hit or on base 1/3 AB's is ridioclous. One of the reasons we got him was becuase of the reduction in uncertainty compared to Pods. Pods hits .250 then .300, then .272, then blah blah. Pierre hits .300 almost every year right on the dot. It would be a real shame if the 1 year he cant get it done is his first with the sox, cuz it might be his last. Ill give him a month, if hes still hitting at the mendoza line hes useless. Linebrink is a waste, Randy Williams too...they are the clown car everyone knows it, mop up men. Kotsay/Jones are stop gaps for 2010 and everyone knows it. Konerko is your DH next year. Teahen im a little confused. Hes still young and relatively athletic. He should easily be able to hit .275 comfortable with 15 hrs and 65 RBI. That would make him at the worst a productive member of the team. Look at the way he cant seem to stay out of double plays and his supreme early failures at the plate is also troubling. Like I said, I will give him about a month as well. If he cant be himself (.275 hitter) after a month then he too can hit the bench. When your a professional act like one, you can have a bad game, a bad week, but u better get it together after a month or this whole town will be calling for a lot more Nix.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) 2010 White Sox starters.... 1-1 record, 31 IP, 26 H, 8 ER, 1 HR, 12 BB, 25 K, 2.32 ERA, 1.22 WHIP Wow its actually harder to be 1-4 with those stats than it is to be 4-1, 3-2, or at worst 2-3. Our offense blows.
  11. UGH another Quentin pop out on the first pitch or early in the count. CUT DOWN ON YOUR SWING AND STOP SWINGING FOR THE FENCES EVERYTIME. I cant watch this amateur hour crap.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) Worth noting...the Twins key player/MVP was a #2 draft pick, and I don't remember the last time we drafted that highly. Yes you do, it was the 2008 draft we picked like 7th and took Beckham. And the only reason we picked that high is becuase 2007 we sucked ass. You want high draft picks and build the farm with young top talent then suck for like 3-4 seasons in a row. Thats what the twins did between like 1998-2001. Hence the top picks in that period of time. U want to go 72-92 for the next 3 seasons then yeah we can start getting some elite young talent.
  13. Scott Linebrink and Randy Williams are essentially our verson of the Clown Car, they are mop up duty only and should never be counted on to get outs in close games. What is Ozzie doing, everyone knows those guys are the pen scrubs...why are they allowed to pitch in tight game situations.
  14. On my wish list after watching CQ is cutting down on his swing a little bit, we have seen an awful lot of really hard swings early in the count resulting in infield pop ups.
  15. After watching JJ Hardy for about 3 opr 4 games now I can 100% say the only pitches he can hit are high, about belt high pitches. Hes a good high ball hitter and thats about it. Its obvious and coop and the sox staff should know if you keep the ball down on this guy he cant hit, you get it up, he hits it hard. Put it in the scouting reports.
  16. So far the only things thats really failed the sox is their bullpen. They have blown 3 late inning leads in 4 games. Its something none of us pictured because of the strength of the arms in our pen. SO either some serious regression towards the mean is in order, or our bullpen is all smoke and mirrors. Its one or the either.
  17. Yep, heard it in Dre, The Game, Easy E...etc. Makes songs awesome
  18. This is hilarious...the Indians have like 26 hits in this series. Id have to say at least half are of the blooper/bleeder variety. What a joke.
  19. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:44 PM) dangit, sucks to leave the bases loaded. 1 is better than 0 though. Yeah if we are not going to be a hit machine lineup and pound out 10+ hits a game then we sure as hell better be clutch with the situations we do get.
  20. Lol, not only was that ball 4 to CQ a strike right down the middle, but thats a pitch Quentin should and can hit 450 feet.
  21. Anyone else just see the flaw in Pierre swing right there on that booted pop up. Look at his weight transfer. He appears to be out of sync with his weight transfer and his swing, hes weight transfer is way ahead of his swing. As a result you see his swing trying to catch up, he looks like he is swinging very hard, almost flick his bat throw the zone to catch up. Im sure its just matter of time until he finds it, but i think its relatively easy to see why he was 0-9 before that.
  22. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/tmi-mlb/po...ost%3fid%3d1779 If his FIP is significantly higher than his actual ERA doent that imply that Jenks defense behind him was exceptional?
  23. Its obvious that if Rios is back to performing like the Rios of old, which by most accounts it seems hes there, then should and will be this teams permanent 5 hole hitter.
  24. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 12:29 PM) I haven't decided. I may still do a m-to-m version. OK, i hope u do I enjoy the artwork every different month
