Considering the starters haven't been as lights out as last year, this is still a very important statistic as the year progresses. And since Riske and Politte were on the DL for part of the year and if Dustin can pitch *fingers crossed* we are going to have a pretty rested bullpen going into the postseason. The starters may not be pitching into the 7th as much, but they are still getting some quality starts, which is a very important stat.

I think one or the other could get Schmidt. If we trade BMac...we better get Matt Cain in the deal. And if BA is in the deal, I hope we get either Jason Ellison or Fred Lewis. I don't think this deal will happen as it stands. I could see trading one of our minor league arms, but Kenny isn't going to deal two of our biggest upside chips for a couple of months... ...is he?

When I said he was 8-3 and that's the most important thing leads to confidence. When you aren't pitching well, but winning, I would think you would want to prop your team up. And unless you are Roger Clemens and have enough confidence (or ego) to last a lifetime, if your ERA, WHIP and BAA is fantastic, but you are at or below .500, that's gonna mess with your head. We all know Jon is not the strongest in the brain department, but he's been on this team long enough that if he keeps pitching the way he did at the beginning of the season, win or lose, he's gonna get the beat down. the more the team wins for him, the more he's going to want to pitch his heart out for them. JMHO.

What was the criteria? Was it box office sales? Was it voted on by today's actors? I think that would explain a lot...there are a lot of funny movies on the list that I wouldn't put in the top 100, but that doesn't mean they aren't funny...

You can put it on the board...YES! I'm a little concerned after watching Bobby Abreu lose all his power in the second half last year and it has continued on into this year. I don't want JD to tire himself out.
