  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) I'm pretty sure we have this big body of water called Lake Michigan? I believe Lake Michigan is too choppy for rowing. And kayaking events are in whitewater...I'm guessing there isn't too much whitewater on Lake Michigan. Nope...no whitewater.

    QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) let me add my two cents, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one A bird in hand is like two in the bush. Heh heh.....bush.
  3. Pittsburgh it is... And Bill Wirtz saying, "Justice, justice." What a bonehead.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) The Dan Ryan project goes into full swing next year. They are totally tearing it down and rebuilding it from the ground up. This year they have been redoing the ramps and bridges. It is going to be U-G-L-Y. I remember when they did that to the Edens in the 80's...what a nightmare. Looks like Lake Shore Drive is gonna get a LOT more traffic for a while. How long did they say it was going to take?

    QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Damnit! You stole mine. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... I guess you're a chip off the ol' block.
  6. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) Not arguing with you or anything, but Garland was taken I believe in the 1st or 2nd round and BMac was in the 19th... Usually...you can tell a players value by who they were traded for. And yes, Garland was picked higher, but so was Bobby Seay and thousands of others that never sniffed the big show. The Cubs had given up on Garland, the Sox stole him.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) Garland was much more conveted than BMAC. And its my opinion, but im not too impressed with BMAC's mechanics and the movement on his fastball. If Garland was that much more coveted, how come it only took Matt Karchner to get him from the Cubs?

  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) No charge, Steff. Gratuities graciously accepted. Here's a tip: Don't bet on the ponies.
  10. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Yep. That's what Willie, Felix, and Joe(LTP) for Burnett. Take it or leave it Florida. DO IT DO IT DO IT!! GET TO DA CHOPPA!!!!!! I'm going to be Florida. No.
  11. Not Roosevelt Franklin?!?!
  12. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Favorite artist: Mardi Gras 1993. There was a guy standing like a statue next to a sign that said "Living Art." Every once in a while he'd say "BOO!" and scare the crap out of some unsuspecting drunk. Highly entertaining. :puke Hey...wait a minute...I was there in 1993, and I remember that guy. In fact, I think he scared the crap out of me...and I WAS an unsuspecting drunk.

    As Bert once said to Ernie... It's only a movie.
  14. Where do they do the rowing events? Open water? Or the kayaking? Wisconsin? And there is no need to go to NIU or U of I for soccer...you have Soldier Field, Dyche Stadium, and the Bridgeview Fire Stadium. AND, whether baseball or softball gets added back in, there HAS TO BE 16" softball at the Chicago Games.
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 04:16 AM) Middle of the summer, pennant races heating up, trade deadline approaching, and we get 20 minutes of baseball tonight??? I love the NFL, but isn't it too early for NFL Live, not to mention taking time away from Baseball Tonight. This is garbage! And now they are giving Steven A. Smith his own show. Geez! Training camp starts this weekend. I think it's football season.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) Psst...Batista's on the the Blue Jays now.

  20. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Yea, it's a good weekend to buy clothes and the like, even for us non-kids. The outlet mall is a frickin' zoo that week. But it's worth it.
