Official 2013-2014 NCAA Football Thread

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 12, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) First of all, we need to see what the actual charges are before assuming he gets booted. Second, this doesn't ruin his NFL career at all. The NFL doesn't give a s*** about personal stuff. LeGarrette Blount just scored 4 TDs in a playoff game last night after all. That's a bad example considering his personal issues has cost him a truckload of money. -
Bs overturn I thought

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 12, 2014 -> 05:39 PM) Hope you weren't betting money on your games. Saints covered woot

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jan 12, 2014 -> 05:38 PM) Paulie sucks?! Nice. Spoken like a true Sox fan. Of course the old gray mare ain't what she used to be but jesus christ, how about some some respect for a guy who's an all-time White Sox great? He does such now though. There's nothing present about him other than riding the bench on a bad team. On second thought, I guess that "present" does reflect the current Sox

Except Paulie sucks. Go with Sale

Predict when the Sox announce Tanaka 's signing

QUOTE (Whitey @ Jan 12, 2014 -> 12:02 AM) My ideal scenario... Sox sign Tanaka then trade Sale. Of all the horrific Sale trade ideas, this one takes the cake by far -

Wow, that ending to the Missouri game was criminal. What an absolute joke. -
A rod suspended for all of 2014. Espn reporting this as breaking news so I assume this means a reduced suspension

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2014 -> 07:43 PM) That's certainly possible. You only get kicked out of school for a semester after your second offense. There very well could have been others who were a part of whatever went on but if it was their first offense nothing will be made public. Daniels was supposedly involved in whatever got Golson kicked out for a semester but at that time, it was Daniels' first offense so nothing was made public about him. Edit: If by "more to it" you mean Jerian Grant of the basketball team, his dismissal was announced just after Christmas. I hadn't heard that his and Daniels' issues were related, but that's certainly possible. It's not Grant. FB player. I just Googled him and apparently he's also already been dealt with and it's public, sort of. I think it's bigger than these two too but I cant say for certain on that. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2014 -> 06:38 PM) Davaris Daniels was suspended for a semester for academic issues. It broke yesterday. There's more to it than him. -

So I heard there's a big time Notre Dame scandal about to break. Is that why we're on this topic and it's already out there? Or did we just happen on it. -
Mms has never worked for me when i have wifi on no matter the phone I use. Just turn wifi off for a couple seconds and it works.

Sheffield was one of the biggest names in the Mitchell Report. No chance for him.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 10, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) I vohopefully ot sure, I think it's too early to give him full approval until some of his acquisitions actually step foot on the field in Sox jerseys and perform. If some of them bust, then you are back to square one with some of your best trading chips gone. Agreed. Otherwise the only thing he's done is GM a 99 loss team. So far, the Sale move was awesome. Like really really awesome. The Areu move hopefully as much so. Signing Keppinger sucked. His bullpen moves have been aright. Historically speaking, his trading philosophy isn't going to look very good in all likelihood. Trading established major league talent for 1 prospect, the odds are stacked against you, but hey it can still work out. We just have to see.

The Lord of the Rings books are borderline unreadable. The movies are masterpieces.

I wonder if we could package them together. GS pprobably has 0 interesting in a shooting wing so they say no to Dunleavy. The Rockets maybe. They want Dunleavy and Hinrich might fit. They have 3 rotation PGs but it's not like any of them are steady... or good.

QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jan 9, 2014 -> 08:59 PM) Here's another reason our interest may be increasing, the posting fee will now be split in 4 payments, instead of 2. That could be huge. From MLBTR: THURSDAY: The posting fee will actually be split into four payments over 18 months, Major League sources tell Scout.com's Kiley McDaniel. According to McDaniel, the payment schedule breaks down as follows: 10 percent of posting fee due within 14 days of the submission of the posted player's contract (for the Rakuten Golden Eagles, that would mean $10MM on Feb. 7). 17 percent of the posting fee due within six months of the submission of the posted player's contract ($3.4MM for the Golden Eagles on July 24). 17 percent of the posting fee due within 12 months of the submission of the posted player's contract ($3.4MM for the Golden Eagles on Jan. 24, 2015). 16 percent of the posting fee due within 18 months of the submission of the posted player's contract ($3.2MM for the Golden Eagles on July 24, 2015). That first payment should be 50 percent or else those numbers seem very off.

Coreys bro? Good lord.

Has the Reinsdorf thing ever been confirmed? It's been rumored for awhile but i don't think there's anything official on it.

Nintendo owns the Ms I'd bet they'd be more than willing to spend on the right Japanese player. Plus I'm sure they have some major influence in the homeland to sway him to Seattle
