QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) Before that blows up into anything ridiculous (not that this isn't already), IndyStar has it on record that it was DeAndre Thomas. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...S0601/802220490 It was definitly Thomas. He and Ebanks were the two names when the inital report report came out months ago. On second thought though, couldn't the blacked out name be multiple people? It appeared more than once in the report.

QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 18, 2008 -> 03:02 AM) Shumpert is not the 21st best player, and Dillard should be much higher. I don't think there's more than 5 point guards in the nation I'd rather have than him. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think Shumpert is a 5 star player, though all the national sites have him as such. Agreed on Dillard too.

Hoopsmasters new rankings(I'll list the local kids or other kids of note): http://www.hoopmasters.com/classranking.php 2008 13. Devin Ebanks 21. Iman Shumpert 24. Michael Dunigan 74. Matt Humphrey 112. Josh Crittle 127 Jeremiah Kelly 138. Lewis Jackson 144. Kevin Dillard 147. Verdell Jones 153. Stan Simpson 156. Dion Dixon 174. Rueben Cotto LOL at Crittle being anywhere close to the top 100. Simpson, Cotto, and Dixon all seem way too low(I've only seen Simpson out of that group though). 2009 53. Tyler Griffey 57. Brandon Paul 68. DJ Richardson 71. Jordan Prosser 80. Kyle Rowley 85. Diamond Taylor 94. Joseph Bertrand 97. Jack Cooley 108. Marcus Jordan 117. Chris Colvin I doubt that there are 56 better players nationally than Brandon Paul. Jordan 10 spots above Colvin is a little questionable, but he has been the better player for WY as of late. 2010 2. Jereme Richmond No surpise there.

QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 06:28 AM) Got the chance to see Richmond/Shumpert/etc. tonight. Shumpert didn't force anything tonight, and ended up with a quiet game. I've seen him play quite a few times this year, and I'll think he'll be a very good combo guard for GT. Now, I had never seen Richmond play before, so I was quite shocked. He was nowhere near as good as I thought he'd be. He had about 15 pts, and most were on easy layups or bail-out free throws. He only made one jump shot I can remember. Now, the real story starts with his attitude. I've never seen a worse display of character shown by one kid ever in my sports viewing life. He seems to hate his teammates, and they seem to hate him. The entire group I was around was rooting big time against him just do to being such an asshole on the court. He almost got into numerous fights, and his sarcastic cheering on a hard foul against Shumpert was pathetic. Even the refs were laughing at how much of an ass he was acting like. I heard some Waukegan parents state that they can't wait for him to leave the program, which will likely happen after this year. Richmond's dad also walked around like he owned the place. I'll be honest, Rossi on New Trier PLAYED better than Richmond did (both sophs). Well, I find it funny you have so much negative to say about a sophomore who posted a line of 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, yet have nothing bad to say about the 5 star senior on the other of the court who posted 7 points and six rebounds. Maybe it's just me, but me thinks you're biased hate against Illinois is showing through here.

QUOTE(almagest @ Feb 16, 2008 -> 06:52 AM) Metaknight, Game and Watch, Wind Waker Link, and Marth are top tier. Fox and Falco were nerfed pretty badly. No more wavedash or L-Cancel or down-cancel. Aerial combat seems to have been the main focus. Stages are insane. Can't wait until it comes out here. (BTW, I used to play Melee competitively) I hear Metaknight, even though he has by far the best comboing ability, has terrible smashes so I don't know how much you'd see of him on the competitive scene. That said, the focus of the game certainly has less emphasis on actual smashing in comparison to Melee. I've heard Fox is still maybe the best, and that Diddy of all characters might be his biggest competetion for top tier(Toon Link too). Agreed on the stages all look so awesome. I'm a Marth-main, so it's great to see that he looks even better than he was in Melee. His Final Smash almost wants me to leave items on.

I almost want to throw Chris Lowery in there, but no way would IU follow the game plan of Purdue and Illinois. And the season they are having certainly does not help at all.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 03:55 AM) Interesting thought on the blacked out names. The other possibility could be a player who is still in HS? I dont know exactly. They used Ebanks name, and he's still in High School, so I'm guessing players at IU. Or maybe Gordon if they didn't want to cause a big stir up.

Why the blacked out names? Also, I'm sure it says somewhere in there, but who provided this information? The players listed?
