  1. Haven't seen it in slow motion yet, but it look like the last hitter was safe. Am I wrong here?
  2. Similar to what SSI said, I too thought he would have died by snake bite. In fact, just about two weeks ago watching one of his shows, I watched him pick up a snake and said if this thing here were to bight me, I could be dead in just minutes! I remember thinking, "Wow, this guy is going to die soon".
  3. I'll atleast applaud him for his effort. Most put into his situation would have simply sat at home and collected his pay checks.
  4. His locker has been cleared out. This really is an odd situation. When's the last time we knew a player has been traded, but don't know the team?
  5. QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) Did you really expect to sweep Tampa Bay? With our inconsistent team? Our bullpen sucked, including the great Brandon McCarthy who will get a free pass from critics cause Ozzie has misued him so much. Just get the job done. And we blow the lead with four outs to go? We're just not that good. Yes. We shouldn't be so inconsitant to begin with. Of course it is part of the problem. It's the same with Mack in center. They will both get free passes because the real blame goes to management. But we should be!
  6. QUOTE(PlunketChris @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) Let's take a gander at the positive... If we're still shooting for the division, we didn't lose any ground and Detriot has 3 with the Angels coming up. How, exactly, is not losing ground a positive? What are we, 4.5 back with a month to go?
  7. So Gordon has now reaffirmed his commitment near 100 times now. But somehow, he's a lock for Indiana. Me thinks the journalistic branch of college basketball needs a make-over.
  8. 1. Jermaine Dye....Obviously 2. Jim Thome 3. Paul Konerko 1. Jon Garland 2. Bobby Jenks 3. Jose Contreras
  9. The huge Marist-Rice rivalry continues tonight. It's too bad it's never much of a rival on the field in most all sports.
  10. Considering Doyel knew nothing about College Basketball, yet it was considered his specialty, I'm going to go ahead and guess that this article is horrible and uniformed.
  11. Accepted is just not funny. Well, it isn't after the first half-hour.
  12. Just a question, is your sig a joke(I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, I really don't know)? Why would James Andrews' job be on the line? Isn't he the surgeon for pretty much any professional sports franchise(And WWE)? What exactly is his fault/
  13. I hate unnecessary amounts of lane blockages when a street is under construction. How about you don't close that street/part of the street until it is actually under construction? Actually I just hate unnecessary road construction all-together.
  14. I was actually there. I got invited to a VIP party at the Oak Street Beachstro for the broadcast. I can actually be seen in some of TV shots/photos which was pretty awesome for me. It was pretty cool because it was obviously not a set-up or anything like that. Someone happened to spot Garry Meier down the street and Dahl, almost jokingly, said someone should invite him in. Moments before Meier actually got there, Dahl was blasting him(How could you turn down 1.5 million dollars?) They seemed to get along fine though. Anyway, it was a lot of fun to watch it live.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) It takes a lot to make you wistful about Billy Koch. Billy Koch never blamed anyone but himself. He was a hard-worker who just couldn't get it done here for many reasons, but he would never, ever blame anyone but himself. This doesn't belong near the category of what Freddy Garcia has done.
  16. If it ever does come down to getting rid of just Garcia or just Vazquez, I think the situation should be much clearer now.
  17. Just got back!!! I know it goes without saying, but it was indeed the greatest movie of all-time. The theater was sold out, and as soon as the movie started and Samuel L's name flashed across the screen, everyone got up to give a standing ovation. It was crazy! I've never seen such a crowd reaction to a movie. The crowd was nuts through the entire movie, clapping when ever Mr. Jackson said a word, or screaming out "SNAKES!!!" whenever appropriate. Oh, man when he said the line, the enitre theater just erupted, and you couldn't even here the rest of his speech. Unfortunatly, the credits at the end had to roll sometime, but not before more standing O's. I'd give it 96 stars out of 4 We mine as well skip the best actor award for Samuel L because it's too obvious. Instead, just give him his lifetime achievment award now- as he'll never be better than he was in this movie(unless there is a sequel of course).
  18. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) I doubt Thome was placed on waivers... I don't see why not. Heck, I remember when we placed Loaiza on waivers in the middle of his miracle season. It's not like it matters who you put through, as long as you take them off.
  19. Whose dressing up tonight for the debut? I'm going as a plane, one of my other friends will be Samuel L and the rest will be snakes. I can't frickin' wait.
