QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) I agree about Kenny going after Dunn hard right now. That report about Detroit going after Dunn hard right now is probably making Kenny antsy. I also think Dunn's agent is linking this in a last-ditch effort to get the Cubs involved.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) McPherson is 30 already??? Wow. Still remember a bomb he hit off of Contreras to CF in Anaheim which was the first pitch after a mound visit.
-
Can't wait to see people calling for McPherson to be promoted next season due to huge minor league numbers.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 06:25 PM) Matsui signing would probably mean Quentin would be moving on. Not following....Matsui would be the DH

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) Boston is the leader for Vmart. Everything that I've seen says they want to go with Salty at their catcher next year and will spend their money on Beltre and/or trying to get AGon.

Heyman reporting that Orioles are going after Konerko (like they did after 2005).

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) They signed Jhonny Damon? Huh? Peralta

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) That is a pretty big assumption right now. Have you seen anything actually that the Tigers payroll will be a certian amount next year? Besides every baseball writer reporting they're going to sign two big bats this offseason? It's been everywhere. They've already signed Jhonny and Benoit to pretty big deals, and they're considered the leaders for VMart and Dunn. They unloaded a ton of payroll from last season.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) Yeah I'm gonna have to go out on a limb and say Sale isn't ever going to be an ace. His potential in the rotation is not anywhere near 7 innings per game of what you see in the ninth. He would be good, but he'd be a step down from Danks IMO. Definitely can't shout "ACE!" on him. And I'm not hating either, I love Chris Sale. He's incredible. I think Sale has more potential than Danks as a starter. It's not like Danks is a 7 innings per game guy either.

But not many teams have as much available cash as the Tigers do though.
-
Tigers have a chance to be really good next year if they use their money wisely the next few months. That's a big if though.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 05:54 PM) I don't see how one extra season of Sale in the bullpen at age 22 would sacrifice his entire career? You have the guy under your control for a good amount of time, he doesn't have to start right now. If he pitches 200 innings this year, will that help his career? I don't want him to be a reliever his entire career, but the move does not need to be made today. This is the perfect time for the move to be made with the uncertainty with Peavy, Jackson likely being gone after this coming season, etc.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 06:44 PM) You'd prefer Sale starting & the Sox ace on the DL, than the ace in the rotation and Sale in the pen??? I prefer the first scenario you mention. I am scared of this team using Sale in the bullpen and making him the closer just cause he's a great reliever when he can become a good starting pitcher. He's going to have to become a starter sooner than later, so go ahead and start that process now.
-
Chris Sale, start stretching out your arm.
-
Granderson is making a ton of money for someone who basically is a platoon player. Great guy, but very overrated. With the news on Peavy's health possibly being worse than expected (despite what KW is saying), I think you hold on to Jackson and if you're out of it at the deadline, you trade him.

Anyone else hear Zach Zaidman said last Sunday's game is evidence that Jerry Angelo can draft well because all the touchdowns and interceptions were by guys he drafted?

Both OSU and Florida look sensational -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 12:10 AM) What posts where he calls one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history terrible. Oh, excuse me, the worst Gould is probably the most underrated player in the city of Chicago, but he's been mediocre this season. He's tied for his worst FG percentage since his rookie season. Maynard is the bigger culprit though, as his struggles have been well documented in the Chicago media.

The great Paul Hewitt has his team down 36-16 on the road at the powerhouse that is Kennesaw State. I hate him. -
Excellent call there! Assuming the Vikings lose their next few games, will Childress be allowed to bench Favre and play for the future?
-
Ugh, terrible decision that time by Cutler.
-
Hell of a play by Cutler! He's doing a great job at avoiding pressure today.

Utah looked so bad yesterday, it wasn't even funny. If you didn't know better, you'd think someone had paid them off to lose the game by a lot. Double digit penalties by the half, literally not even trying to block players, etc. Their QB is also the biggest wimp I've seen on the football field this season. -
Jenks at 5 dollars won't work for me. The relationship between him and the Sox is broken on and off the field.
