Mark Buehrle AL player of the week
QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:52 AM) Maybe if anyone cared enough to even worry about it. A-Rod and Thome put up some sweet numbers that week. Mark with a one hitter probably would not have won. I'm just surprised it is his first weekly honor. AROD: 27 AB, 5 HR, 13 RBI, .370/.393/1.000/1.393 Thome: 11 AB, 3 HR, 4 RBI, 15 BB, 1 SO, .455/.741/1.273/2.014

WCIU and blackouts (HD related ramblings)
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:48 PM) Write a well composed email to Comcast Sportsnet chicago. I wrote a complaint email about another issue and it ended up in the president's hands. Did you happen to mention the White Sox 10-8 record vs the Royals last season? All the Royals bashing was one thing that really bothered me.

'Drive' hits the wall
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) I dunno, it looked like it might have had some promise, but Fox started off by pissing me off by running the premier over the Simpsons/Family guy time block, and that's never a good way to start a relationship with me. Plus I just didn't really have time for another 1 hour show right now. That was actually one of the reasons why I gave the show a chance, they eliminated the possibility that I might accidentally catch a second of the horses*** Fox airs on Sunday nights.

Winamp Question
QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 10:34 AM) I hate that I support ITunes, but it's head and shoulders above Winamp in my opinion. That is why I asked. It doesn't do a single thing better than Winamp atleast from what I've seen.

They stole my Durant pick? Bastards now it will never happen.

Winamp Question
QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:26 AM) Do people still use Winamp? Why wouldn't you just use ITunes to listen to music? Because I don't want that horses*** on my laptop.

Wow, that was pathetic
QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) Has Perez signed with anyone yet? No, no he has not.

How Fast can Terrero get up here
Terrero will be 27 next month and Owens just turned 26 so no they are not young. Fields is 25 and has been terrible thus far this season and Sweeney is 22 but hasn't done much of anything either.
-
Wow, that was pathetic
None of Terrero, Owens, Sweeney or Fields are playing particularly well. Owens has been coming back down to earth incredibly fast over the past week, Terrero is terrible, Sweeney has been bad and Fields is batting .215 with a ~.630 OPS.

Winamp Question
Go to the drop down equalizer. Near the bottom of the player there should be a button that says "CONFIG" press the button and that should bring up th equalizer. On the left side there should be a button with a light next to it and then a couple arrows with a number in the middle. That number is the set crossfade which should be a 6, just turn the light off or adjust the number.

You also have to input credit card information on a card that belongs to someone living outside blackout restrictions.

How Fast can Terrero get up here
Even Jerry Owens has cooled off after his hot start. That .400 OBP is now .359 and his impressive K:BB is now even (still good but headed in the wrong direction.) As of right now there really aren't any hot hitting young outfielders in AAA.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) Question. Can you put Anderson in RF, then pinch hit Thome for Danks, then replace Danks with a RP after the at-bat? Yes, you could but I doubt Ozzie wants to use Thome right now and I'd rather not risk making whatever injury THome currently has any worse.

Injury bug going around?
Add Rob Mackowiak to the list.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Call him out for what? Did he injure half his team? For his horrendous lineup. Andy Gonzalez/Konerko should have been DH'ing from the start you don't take one of 2 players on the roster who can play RF/CF and make him ineligible defensively. That's a f***ing joke, now you have a scrub middle infielder playing a very important defensive position in a divisional game. Fun.

Come on Hawk and DJ call out Ozzie. Oh wait you both have no balls, my bad.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:01 PM) You might have to nullify the DH here, problem is you are down 4. It's going to be fun watching the pitcher hit in 2 ABs. The bench isn't deep enough to be doing double switches.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
So how are we going to defend Ozzie on this one? He's completely backed the team into a corner in this one. Brian Anderson is a seriously bad hitter.

The Market is Saturated for Bounty Hunter Shows
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:28 PM) And lets not kid ourselves, We ALL watch the selection weeks of American Idol. I'd rather jam forks in my eyes. American Idol makes me legitimately angry. If I even hear someone reference the show I feel my blood begin to boil, some random person asked me what I thought of "Sanjia" the other day, I nearly hit her in the mouth. There aren't a lot of things that get to me emotionally but American Idol is definitely one of them, I can't believe they canceled an absolutely genius show in Arrested Development and yet they've had what 7 seasons of American f***ing Idol now? It's the ridiculous dumbing down of America.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) Lets get Danks his first MLB victory tonight... Well, tonights game is on WCIU also, and they have HD... plus, Hawk and DJ are much better then anybody they have announcing on ESPN. How many people actually get WCIUHD? I know I sure as hell don't and I'll take Dan Shoneman (SP?) over Hawk any day of the week. The game will be on ESPN, no blackout. Nice.

Alex Rodriguez on pace for 126 homers
Who even gives a f*** anymore? It's become so played out, every time a player does something positive offensively you get to hear about how he's probably on some sort of performance enhancing drug. I'm just so f***ing sick of the lameass speculation about EVERYONE. What's the point anymore?

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/25/07 (L)
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:58 PM) You know Kong can DH and we could play Erstad at 1st. We have no flexibility in the OF now. Yuck. Ozzie is really backing himself into a corner with this one he's pretty much made his best defensive outfielder ineligible defensively tonight. If he wants to pinch hit or run for anyone starting in the outfield or if god forbid there's an injury he'll have to play another non outfielder out there. I don't really get why he'd leave himself so little flexibility. Is he trying to make a point by putting Anderson at DH? Because there are better ways to go about doing so.

Jermaine Dye??
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) Dye has a better arm, Pablo more mobility. either way he was subbed cause he was hurt. I'm just saying it would have made no sense to sub in Pablo for defensive purposes when he's a joke of an outfielder. It was a major red flag when Dye got pulled last night.
-
Jermaine Dye??
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 06:32 PM) It was Mack for Dye, Ozuna for mack actually. Mack and Anderson were already in the OF and Pablo was subbed in for Dye. Even though he ended up playing LF he was still subbed in for Dye which is a terrible defensive replacement.

Has anyone else notice Sandy Alomar in our dugout?
Josh Paul is currently batting .381 as the D-Rays backup catcher. He also has as many RBI as AJ Pierzynski thus far this season.
